  Really delicious food and lovely comfortable 'english country pub' surroundings complete with real fires and old chesterfield furniture. The main menu is supplemented by a fish specials board - there were tons of crowd pleasers on there and we really struggled to choose. We had oysters (incredibly fresh) followed by a starter and main each. The portions are substantial but not overfacing. The produce used in the cooking is delicious and very fresh. There was not one dish that was not absolutely delicious. The pub is in a tiny village north of Harrogate but well worth the trip. I can oinly suggest that they build some rooms so that everyone can enjoy a glass or two of wine (as they have such nice ones on the list)....More
