We were taken to the top floor which was the spectacular cinnabar! The staff were all friendly and professional.
The drinks were amazing. After this we were take. Downstairs to the restaurant floor where we were given ample time to go through the menu deciding what we would like to order. We decided on a Thai set meal. It was near to perfection.

Food was great. Table service was great. All the nice touches such as the staff taking you to and from the bar all build part of this great story of Vermillion. Only complaint I had, small however quite an impact. We ordered some cocktails whilst in the bar area as well as some beers (the venue was very quiet at this point as was only 6.30) our beers came straight away and we were told cocktails take a little longer. Apparently 30 minutes longer! We had finished beers, moved to table and finished starter before they came! We are going again though. On the drive to the restaurant I was worried because the area is pretty horrible although the restaurant was incredible! Indeed, one of the best Thai Restaurants in Manchester. Above all, brunch for £13 quid is not a bad deal considering decor and the quality of stuff you get.
Must try: Lamb Karahi in main course and Coconut Custard in dessert.

We turned up to Vermilion and it was great to see a restaurant that had plenty of car parking outside and secure parking at that.
On arriving we were greeted in the entrance lobby before being escorted into the lift and taken to the restaurant floor. The doors opened and it looked great. Certainly looked and felt different.
The meal we had was cooked perfectly and the service was friendly but intrusive. All in all we had a great meal and good drinks. I would definitely be back and back with friends too. For me, the restaurant, it is 5 star for food (even though i'm not a fan of thai food but that's just a personal preference), service and value. As we had never been, we were instantly pleasantly surprised that at reception, the staff offered to take our coats off us and put them in a secure cloak room. We were given a token to return upon our exit of the restaurant.
We then entered the dining area which was absolutely delightful.
We ordered from the Asian fusion set menu as we wanted to try a number of new dishes.
Great value for money, great staff, great management.
I will be eating there again.

The restaurant was absolutely beautifully decorated inside, and surprisingly, we were the only customers, so the whole restaurant was just for us. The food was presented in a real fancy way with sauces to accompany each dish. The staff were extremely friendly and were always there to help. The restaurant was very clean and toilets were of a high standard, even with works going on.
We ordered the Asian fusion set meal and I must say, we were both fully satisfied when we'd finished the mail meal. We even asked to take the dessert home, so we wouldn't miss out on all the yumminess. I will most certainly be rebooking a meal at this restaurant. Eat there on a busy Friday or Saturday night and you will be telling your friends for weeks about the food, cocktails and funky bar. Week nights quieter but a great time to impress a business partner or book the lavish group tables complete with throne chairs and spinning centre table. The Giant Ocean Tiger Prawns are worth the visit on their own even if they are the most expensive starter in Manchester. 10% is added to the bill regardless of service or numbers so factor that in!
Top tip: for a romantic dinner ask for a seat near the wine room it's quite a sight and remember if you splash on a bottle of Champagne you can book an intimate 'cocoon' upstairs for after dinner drinks.06/01/2013 16:00:00Our first time at VermilionIn Italy we have never found anything like the vermilion.
We love Asian cuisine and here we find a rich menu of excellent dishes combined with a warm atmosphere and truly extraordinary.
