Vasco & Piero's Pavilion RestaurantConsistently goodThis is my third visit here in ten years. I've always saved it for special occasions and I've always taken at least one person who's never been. Everyone raved about the food (the guinea fowl that was on the menu that day and the asparagus dishes were exceptional). We were so well looked after. I was only worried that we might have been a little loud for the restaurant but no one seemed to mind. If you like Italian food you must eat here.11/05/2013 00:00:00Terrific restaurantThis was our second visit and we were not disappointed. it was every bit as good as before. The mozzarella is to die for and even though it wasn't on the menu they were able to serve it. the food is simple, elegant and oh so delicious. Our new favourite London restaurant.03/05/2013 00:00:00We had a great meal here.We had a great meal here. From the start we were made to feel welcome and comfortable, all the staff were attentive. The food was delicious. The restaurant was full and there was a nice buzz. A bit more than we would normally pay but well worth it27/04/2013 00:00:00Surfed around on the internetSurfed around on the internet looking for a restaurant near the Palladium. Found this gem. Wonderful experience. Will be back for sure.20/04/2013 00:00:00Bellissima!A warm welcome and attentive staff. The restaurant was full and had a nice atmosphere.
The menu is not massive which makes it much easier to choose.
Exquisite beef starter. The mozzarella was so milky and delicious. Guinea fowl pasta was a delight as was the linguine with king prawns. What a shame the tiramisu had run out but it was only wanted out of pure greed!
Great evening - definitely returning.19/04/2013 00:00:00Going backI used to frequent this restaurant whilst working in the Soho area.
It was a pleasant surprise to go back some years later to find that the service and food
were still excellent.
Thoroughly recommend.16/04/2013 00:00:00Superb!It's already 2 days ago, bit I can still taste those amazing flavoures !13/04/2013 00:00:00Really nice greeting and serviceReally nice greeting and service throughout. Wines are lovely but very very expensive (£40 - £70 per bottle.). Food was tasty and presented beautifully but again expensive - £21 for main course. In the end was £75 per head without desert so on the very expensive side. Would I be back? Only on a deal I think.09/04/2013 00:00:00Italian food at its bestUncomplicated and unfussy, the flavours and the kitchen skills speak for themselves. Beautiful carpaccio of beef and a stunning vegetarian salad to start, followed by excellent fish cakes and wonderfully tender squid. The staff (and in particular the owner) were charming and attentive. Lovely room (if a little tight on space). I'll be back!28/03/2013 00:00:00Consistently goodI've been taken here three times before and this is the first time I've been the 'host' (i.e. paid the bill). Every time I eat here the experience is unforgettable. I can't rate the Pavilion highly enough - exquisite menu, polite, attentive and efficient service and beautifully understated ambience. I don't normally pay these prices when eating out but when the dining experience is this good, the extra expense is totally justified.
Thank you Vasco and Piero - I hope to be back very soon!22/03/2013 00:00:00LovelyThis is the second time I have visited this restaurant. It's a little gem- lovely food and very reasonably priced. The food is rustic and simple and relies on wonderfully fresh ingredients. The ambience is very relaxed and service is good.22/03/2013 00:00:00A gem of a find.We went for a birthday treat and I was a little disappointed at first by the interior. How wrong could I have been. Everything about it shouted quality and authenticity. Food was spectacular, service was attentive but not overbearing. Would go back in a heartbeat.21/03/2013 00:00:00Top restaurantAs always, Vasco & Piero's Pavilion Restaurant scores 10/10.. a rela gem14/03/2013 00:00:00What a fabulous restaurant!!The service, food and ambience was second to none. A birthday treat for my daughter turned out wonderfully. The menu was excellent, everyone in the group had different starters and mains and all couldn't fault anything. I would definitely recommend the restaurant, personally I am looking forward to going to Vasco and Piero's again02/03/2013 00:00:00Italian dining at its bestSuperb food and staff so attentive!
The best food we have enjoyed in the uk for ages!02/03/2013 00:00:00My fav italian restaurantMy fav italian restaurant in London. Consistently excellent quality and preparation.22/02/2013 00:00:00Saturday NightThe food is incredible, and the thoughtful staff asked if we had tickets for a show as we ate quite early in the evening. The squid main was the finest squid dish I have ever eaten but at £20 was overpriced. My only only problem was the tiny tables! The waiter struggled to place our main starters on the table.22/02/2013 00:00:00Great food, great experienceWas looking for something different for a work team dinner. Booked this restaurant based on rating and comments from other diners. Didn't request it, but we had the private dining room downstairs which worked out great for our "no work talk" team dinner. Had our own dedicated waitress and bar. Couldn't have been better! Highly recommend.21/02/2013 00:00:00ATMOSPHERIC AND APPETISINGReally good value, excellent variety on the menu, a lively but intimate atmosphere. This place is a well kept secret!18/02/2013 00:00:00Genuine Italian food and ambienceItaly - and Umbria in particular - is a place that is justifiably admired for its quality, food culture. There is no such thing as just eating. Food is one of life's chief joys.
Unlike many restaurants in London and elsewhere, that take the name of a chef and promise to deliver some of their magic secondhand - Vasco and Piero's delivers the kind of cooking that one can find only in the kitchens of Italian families. It's not sophisticated, but it is genuine, heartwarming and reliable Italian cooking. Lovely and very rare!14/02/2013 00:00:00Excellent food and serviceFood was exceptionally good. The tuna, calamari
And beef tagliata was among the best we had ever eaten.
The owners stopped by when serving us and we talked
About Italy, Umbria, where they're from and Piedmont
Which we visit often. They couldn't have been nicer
And even sent out a little extra ravioli from the owner
Which was divine. Prices are fair and food quality is
Top notch. Would return in a minute!11/02/2013 00:00:00great restaurant - a must visitI found this restaurant on the Toptable website and chose it over others based on the reviews. A friendly welcome, just enough attention by the staff without being over the top, Food was great, fresh and tasty. It was delivered to our table just a the right time, not to quick or too slowly. We were well looked after.09/02/2013 00:00:00Exceptional ServiceMy colleague and I were very impressed with the service, and by the exceptional care by the wait staff in accomodating a gluten free diner. All courses and wine were of high quality, I will definitely return for business as well as for pre-theater dining.24/01/2013 16:00:00Having first discovered thisHaving first discovered this restaurant nearly 25 years ago it has been a firm favourite ever since.
The welcome is always friendly and the food never fails to impress. Fresh produce well cooked and well presented.
And the service cannot be faulted.
Highly recommended.
And NO MUSIC! Wonderful!22/01/2013 16:00:00Always reliableWe were taking a group of clients out, and after some recent experiences needed somewhere we could rely upon. The Pavilion has been a staple for me for the last twenty years and can always be relied upon for great food and good service.
Everyone enjoyed their meal. The carpaccio of Tuna, the Calves Liver, and the Fudge Cake were particularly commented on, and the Nero D'Avolo went down very well.15/01/2013 16:00:00Another good meal at V & P'sUsual good quality ingredients very well cooked at Vasco and Piero's. I have been here many times and am sure I will come again.08/01/2013 16:00:00Great ItialianOn a diet when visited, they were more than happy to change things around for my diet. Well clued up on gluten free, and any other allergies diners might have.
The food was very fresh and very tasty
Can't wait to go back.
Thanks for a great lunch.03/01/2013 16:00:00Simplified EleganceAfter eating at many of the London hot spots, we wanted to find a quiet and special place to celebrate our last night of our holiday. just by chance, we found this gem of a restaurant that embodies everything we wanted and more. Fresh foods with a commitment to quality, flavors, and an honesty that made this a memorable evening, The burrata mozzarella with cherry tomato melted in our mouths and is a must appetizer. The pastas were homemade, the fish was fresh, and the veal was so thin and tender. The pineapple carpaccio capped off a great evening and our holiday in London.28/12/2012 16:00:00Still excellentVasco and Piero's has been one of my in-laws favourites for the last 18 years and every time we go there I fall a little bit more in love with the place (and I was pretty smitten on my first visit). Friendly and efficient service which never topples into intrusive, excellent food prepared simply and with care and a willingness to adapt dishes to dietary requirements (including "can I have extra asparagus?"). A lovely place for a delicious meal.26/12/2012 16:00:00Great Italian! This was our second visit to Vasco & Piero's and loved the food again. We took friends as the first visit was so good. They thoroughly enjoyed the food, wines and service too. The ingrediants are very fresh and the flavours in the food are superb. Definately one to re visit.04/08/2012 00:00:00Very Good ItalianThe food at Vasco & Pieros was superb and served very well. We were surprised though that the place was not full on a Saturday evening. Perhaps if it were in Knightsbridge or Kensington, it would receive far more recognition which it deserves! A good Italian wine list to go with the food.07/07/2012 00:00:00Went to Vasco & Piero's asWent to Vasco & Piero's as a group of 4. Lovely small restaurant, with good service, and a very good menu with plenty of choice. The homemade pasta was the best pasta I've ever had31/05/2012 00:00:00Vasco & Pieros has a niceVasco & Pieros has a nice buzz about it. this is supported by a menu which is very Italian but bringing out the regional emphasis of Umbria. we took friends and we all enjoyed our food. the wine list is short but provides interesting Italian shoices with good support if you want help to make a choice. We will go again and take our friends too.25/03/2012 16:00:00
