The food options we got on their recommendation were all perfect, the Chef's special in particular. It was very quiet, but I suspect people do not know it is there as it is fairly well concealed. The entire evening we were attended to by a lovely, friendly and polite waitress and waiter. The waiter serving us was extremely attentive and gave us the best recommendation for dessert (coconut filled crepes) which was delicious! They have a lovely variety of starters, mains and desserts on their menu which is great for both vegetarians and non-vegetarians. We were a table of 6 (4 adults, 2 students) and all of us found the food to be outstanding. We all easily found dishes to appeal to us. The service was very good and the waitress staff were very helpful whenever a question arose. All the food arrived quickly and piping hot and very, very tasty. It's a nice option to be able to choose either a small Tasting size or a larger Sharing size dish, depending on tables hunger. The food was tasty and gave a fine representation of the food on offer. Portions were just right and service was very attentive. We arrived at about 6.30 on New Years Day after booking about 20 minutes previously and were given a choice of tables which would have been limited by about 7.30. I reduced the service charge to a reasonable £5 which I felt was an excessive £11 and just seems to be a common feature in London restaurants. Food was plentiful. Main course fish good, beef rendang far too much coconut to be authentic or balanced in flavours. Satays and Lamb soup excellent.

The staff appeared knowledgeable. The menu was short but with enogh choices. My friend had the prawn/lychee starter which was unusual but the flavours worked well. I had the Gado Gado which was tasty. We had mains of vegetarian pad thai (good but would have preferred non deep fried tofu which unfortunately gave me indigestion as they were so tough/chewy) & the duck which was tasty.
