TrinityExcellent value lunch menu,Excellent value lunch menu, although a limited choice. Quality of produce and cooking is very high. Friendly service and interesting wine list with some good value options. I would strongly recommend Trinity.17/05/2013 00:00:00Nice, great food but expensive!Well, if you are willing to pay around 180 pounds for 2 people with an average quality bottle of wine, then it is worthy a visit. The food is amazingly creative, but very small portions and very expensive bill at the end. I won't go back. But I must say that the service is very warm and nice.17/05/2013 00:00:00Should have got 5 starsExecellent food and service let down by a few unordered items appearing on the bill and blank looks when queried. Check your bill.16/05/2013 00:00:00Fantastic service, lovely mealI was really impressed with some of the innovative dishes on the 5 course tasting menu. I was also really pleased to see Trinity focuses on good quality home grown produce. And the icing on the cake was the super friendly, helpful service. I would definitely go back.16/05/2013 00:00:00Great Food and Great Service! We chose this resturant due to the reviews and the look of the food on the website and were not disappointed! We were tempted by the taster menu for the great value of £50.00 however, we decided to go for the A La Carte. The Trotter starter was probabley the best starter I had ever eaten! It took me back to my partners birthday meal a 4 years ago at the Fat Duck in Bray. It tasted amazing and looked even better, my partner had major food envy even though he had a lovely special on Cornwall Squid. The mains were just as good, really recommend the steak and the lamb. We left hardly able to walk from overeating and the lovely lady who served us all night was a pleasure, the service is what made the experience outstanding! Cant wait to go back!14/05/2013 00:00:00Great as alwaysTrinity is one of my favourite restaurants to visit for a celebration (birthday, parents in town, etc) and never disappoints, the real treat is the tasting menu, which at £50 is well priced for 5 courses (it used to be about £40, but that's a different story)... Wines to match is a good option but can be a little to filling, so think of sharing (half a glass per course), which leaves room for a drink at sun pub afterwards04/05/2013 00:00:00We were a party of 6 for lunchWe were a party of 6 for lunch and in the main had the set lunch menu - 2 choices in each course Wonderful presentation and expertly cooked Extensive wine list and wine by the glass and carafe was good value. Shame was that only one other table was occupied. Need to get the word out or maybe not03/05/2013 00:00:00Wonderful experienceThe decor was nice and simple giving the feeling your not encapsulated and have room to breathe which is good when having lunch. The food was outstanding and fresh, exceeding expectations in flavour combinations and impressed on how the food was presented. The food was satisfying and wasn't heavy at all, which can leave you sluggish afterwards.
The service was excellent as the staff were kind and made us comfortable, the atmosphere was great and the cost for all of this was unbelievable as it was lower than expected.
This place is a perfect venue to hold a casual or business lunch, and we would definitely recommend it as we will be coming back again, especially for the warm banana cake with rum and raisin icecream dessert.02/05/2013 00:00:00Always AMAZING!!I have been to Trinity numerous times and I have never, ever been disappointed. The food is delicious, brilliantly presented and the served by very knowledgeable waiters. A lot of restaurants could learn from Trinity! Of course I'll be back!30/04/2013 00:00:00Birthday Sunday LunchWe had a wonderful Sunday lunch at Trinity, it was almost faultless. Our table was booked for 2:30 and a few items from the menu had proven to be very popular and had sold out but there were alternatives offered. The presentation, food and service were all exceptional and none of us could fault anything. The wine list is extensive and reasonable too. In fact the 3 course meal, with wine, preprandials and coffees for 5 of us was not much more than we had paid for a similar meal in a pub. I would thoroughly recommend Trinity.28/04/2013 00:00:00Back to its bestAfter two or three slightly disappointing trips to Trinity, I'm pleased to report that Adam Byatt's Trinity is back to its best, with well flavoured, well conceived dishes that look beautiful on the plate and deliver in nearly every way. Being hyper-critical, the lamb was a little tougher than one might have liked, but made up for it I'm taste.25/04/2013 00:00:00SW SuperstarAmazing! As per usual. We are regulars at Trinity and it never disappoints. It's better than a lot of restaurants up in town and its right on our doorstep. Food is out of this world, service is impeccable & it is a genuine gem. Go, you won't be disappointed.10/04/2013 00:00:00Well balanced mealTrinity is a nice intimate restaurant with friendly staff. We had the tasting menu which was well balanced and seasonal. We didn't feel overfed and the length of the dinner was just right. We adore the foccacia bread rolls, piping hot and moist.06/04/2013 00:00:00Tasting Menu Wine Pairings ElectricI took my wife to Trinity for our first wedding anniversary last Saturday. We have never been and wanted to do something outstanding and close to home. Trinity did not disappoint! We had an early reservation and were 100% focused on the tasting menu paired with wine. The staff was very attentive to our occasion and sat us in a private seat in the corner of the restaurant. Our meal at Trinity had all the elements of a well executed meal anywhere in Europe: flavors were concentrated, complex and uniquely paired with the accompanying wines. Every course improved, until desert which was a little pedestrian relative to the rest of the meal. Well worth a visit and we will go back!06/04/2013 00:00:00Fine dining at TrinityMy wife & I enjoyed an excellent meal at Trinity. Being indecisive, we went for the tasting menu, with matching wines. We had food that is definitely up to Michelin-star quality (and intentiveness), and service was excellent, particularly in terms of the knowledge of the staff, who waxed lyrical about the ingredients, cooking processes, the reasons why the wines complemented the dish, and were also able to answer questions. Delicious food and good wine.
At £80 per person, it was a nice touch to have unlimited water for just £1.50 pp (as this is an area that aggrieves me in many up-market restaurants), and they even produced a little cake with a candle for my wife's birthday.
Great meal out, just make sure you book: it was very busy at 7pm!06/04/2013 00:00:00Truly amazing every timeTrinity offers the lovely food and fantastic matched wine expected at a top notch restaurant at a fabulous rate. The additional touches of personalised menus and amazing staff make it our favourite!05/04/2013 00:00:00TrinityOne of my favourite restaurants best I have found in clapham03/04/2013 00:00:00A Foodie's DelightWent for the tasting menu with matched wines. Marguerite the sommelier was professional, very well informed and a charming hostess. The food was delicious, using the finest ingredients, each plate beautifully presented with excellent wines to match each dish. Wild garlic, halibut ,Dexter beef....each one a delight. A very very good restaurant!28/03/2013 00:00:00Superb Sunday LunchWe had a fantastic Sunday lunch. Good value for a fantastic meal with excellent service. Even the decor was right. Will definitely return.24/03/2013 00:00:00Lovely Sunday lunch and fantasticLovely Sunday lunch and fantastic service. Set menu price is not cheap but eorth it for quality of the food. Wine selection and advice also very good.24/03/2013 00:00:00Why no Michelin Star ?The food at Trinity was some of the best I have had anywhere. Imaginative play on good fresh ingredients. Outstanding service and a good modern vibe. Reminds me a lot of Chez Bruce but not as frantic. Regardless thoroughly recommended and Adam Byatt a name for the future. Lets hope he stays in the kitchen rather than doing duets with Greg Wallace.21/03/2013 00:00:00A little disappointing in partAs always, a good meal at Trinity. We were a party of 5 and had the taster menu. The Jerusalem artichoke foamy soup and the scallop dish were really good, as was the venison which had be cooked sous vide I imagine, so tender but pink.. However, our Halibut was overcooked, which was a real shame and the de-constructed ' black forest gateau' did not work well we thought, with the sauce for the cherries rather gloopy, in particular. Perhaps the kitchen wasn't having the best of nights, as it is normally very consistent.16/03/2013 00:00:00Exceeded my expectations!Exceeded my expectations! A must do if you are living or visiting London.16/03/2013 00:00:00Excellence in ClaphamTrinity restaurant offers wonderful friendly service and really excellent food. We were in a group of 10 and had a very memorable and enjoyable evening.16/03/2013 00:00:00AmazingThe food was exceptional, service was outstanding and we had a very memorable evening :-)09/03/2013 00:00:00Simply amazingThe staff is discreet unobtrusive. The food is delicious and interesting strongly recommend it.04/03/2013 00:00:00Great local restaurantReally good value tasting menu, with food up to the standard of many top restaurants that cost a lot more28/02/2013 00:00:00Should have a Michelin StarTrinity balances the formal (classical decor & service) & informal (required for a local restaurant) to perfection. The food & produce, however, are very much part of the former category. Most dishes have a central powerful ingredient (trotters, pigeon & beets for the starters, & beef, rabbit & skate for the mains). Around this the team create a mix of complementary (yet still strong) flavours & textures. For example, the Artichoke soup (rich & nutty) was coupled with hazelnuts (for texture & to strengthen the richness of the soup) & al dente pasta filled with butter. On escape the butter added yet more warmth & aroma. The bread is exquisite - fresh milky rolls with goats butter. Presentation is inventive. The staff friendly & efficient.24/02/2013 00:00:00Clapham's gem.We have been visiting Trinity almost since it opened and have long thought it's lack of a Michelin star to be quite the injustice. Adam Byatt's dishes combine innovation and tradition with flair, and, most importantly, at their best they taste eye-rollingly, mouth-wateringly delicious. We know we will always have a lovely experience when we dine at Trinity. But Friday's seven-course tasting menu exceeded our expectations. Several broad themes of taste and texture ran through the dishes so that each seemed like a logical progression from the last, while always offering something new to savour. The wine pairings were perfectly judged and the service from all of the various staff was sleek and unobtrusive yet also friendly and enthusiastic.22/02/2013 00:00:00the warmth of the welcomethe warmth of the welcome from the staff on a very cold night, the quality of the food, the friendly and helpful service from the team all make Trinity a special night out. Noticeable that so many of the waiters have been there a long time now - keep it up guys - you are doing a great job22/02/2013 00:00:00Went to Trinity on a ThursdayWent to Trinity on a Thursday night. Was fully booked. Staff were very friendly, welcoming, attentive without being overbearing and seemed genuinely happy to be there and share their knowledge. The food was fantastic in taste, presentation and creativity, and the little extras were all delicious. The buzz throughout the restaurant from the guests was relaxed yet vibrant and it was a pleasure to be there.20/02/2013 00:00:00PerfectPerfect food. Wonderful service. As always a totally exceptional meal.20/02/2013 00:00:00Excellent food and serviceThe food was outstanding, we had really high expectations and they were all met. Together with this, the service was truly good, one of the best ones I have seen lately... A true recommendation for locals in Clapham or people in London wanting to have a 5* dining experience19/02/2013 00:00:00Gorgeous food and sublime wines. All three courses were outstandingly good and our waiter helped us choose sublime wines to complement each course. the atmosphere was very pleasant, being busy, but also calm. Our waiter was excellent, but the main course did take a little too long to arrive. However, this did not spoil our dining because the food was beautifully prepared, composed and flavoured. I would definitely dine at Trinity again.18/02/2013 00:00:00We went to Trinity for lunch. We went to Trinity for lunch. It is not a cheap option, but for what you get it is affordable. We thoroughly enjoyed the food and the service was enthusiastic and attentive but never overbearing.
The food was light, gave you plenty of options and I was particularly pleased by the existence of a veggie menu. Go.15/02/2013 00:00:00Great Celebration VenueI booked a table for my partner's birthday. The Maitre D' was very welcoming on arrival and the knowledge of all the wait staff we encountered was exceptional. We had the 5 and 7 course tasting menus respectively; Trinity were very accommodating with our personal tastes, i.e. allowing my partner to swap the salad of beets, etc. for the smoked pigeon and Black Forest dessert for a cheese course. A cupcake was also brought to the table at the end of the meal as a birthday gift. I would thoroughly recommend the matched wines with the tasting menu, which featured a superstar white from Argentina. All in all a superb evening. We will bring family with us next time.15/02/2013 00:00:00We went for lunch on theirWe went for lunch on their pre-fix menu which is a great value -- food well executed and innovative. Our dining experience with Trinity has been consistently good.15/02/2013 00:00:00Very interesting menu andVery interesting menu and a very relaxing, but lively atmosphere, without the need for any background music. Exceptionally helpful waiting staff, all looking very smart in their front of house outfits. I went to Thyme just before it closed and I would say this was a far superior experience.09/02/2013 00:00:00Really impressedWas slightly nervous about taking my fussy parents who are in their 60s and don't like anywhere noisy but we couldn't get into Chez Bruce and Trinity got similar reviews.
Was so impressed with our meal here, excellent food, very innovative, fantastic presentation, perfect service and an excellent night out. I'm rarely so impressed, we'd eaten at Dinner by Heston the previous day and every dish here was significantly better and more interesting not to mention half the price (2 courses for 4 people, bottle wine, 1 glass dessert wine, water, service etc- £200). Tasting menu looked well worth trying.
My only annoyance is that after 7 years living around Clapham how on earth do I not know about this place. Go quick!09/02/2013 00:00:00Special eveningReally lovely dinner with my friend. I had warned the restaurant in advance that it was her birthday and they produced a beautiful cup cake with a candle in it when we got to the desert course. Only downside was we were next to the window and it was a bit chilly - but it was a particularly cold February night. Highly recommend it. One of my favourite locals in Clapham.07/02/2013 00:00:00Excellent againThis was the second time I have had Sunday lunch at Trinity, and again, outstanding food and service. I would recommend this to anyone, as long as they are willing to pay the price, a meal so amazing does not come cheap!03/02/2013 00:00:00Inventive foodwe had the Warm Salad of Roast Chestnuts, Truffled Egg and Artichoke and the Dexter Sirloin, Dorset Snail Persillade, Scorched Onions, Truffle Creamed Potatoes. These two dishes combined new flavours and were truly unique.28/01/2013 16:00:00Great Sunday LunchTrinity is a fairly formal restaurant in Clapham Old Town. Tables are a decent size, decor pleasant, not much of a view - looks onto a small side street. The service was great - a lot of staff, all of whom were friendly, efficient and enthusiastic. The food was also great, particularly strong on presentation and desserts. The clementine souffle was sublime, and the pig trotter starter was another highlight. We took our two children, aged 10 and 12, and they felt welcome. Menu maybe a slight challenge for kids, but they coped well and enjoyed everything. Nice to get a follow up email from the restaurant thanking us for going.12/01/2013 16:00:00Very Tasty Buy At Byatt's TableThis place ticks a lot of boxes - location, size, quality, ambience and service. Large enough to generate a good ambience but not too large to stretch the kitchen beyond delivering some of the best prepared and presented food I've tasted for a long time. The relatively limited choice menu is a good thing because it makes you think carefully which dishes to choose. There are lots of clever details in the presentation - to some they may appear fussy - I disagree. It adds to the whole event. The duck starter was a delight, the sirloin was cooked to perfection with its truffle mashed potato, and the St Hallett Shiraz was very smooth. To top it off, I could not fault the service. I've already booked a return visit with a group of friends.11/01/2013 16:00:00We had a fantastic meal atWe had a fantastic meal at Trinity on Saturday. The Venison Wellington (for 2) was spectacular. The Chef's Cellar wines were incredibly good value with some impressive French and Italian wines in particular. Friendly and unhurried service.04/01/2013 16:00:00Still going great gunsSecond visit to trinity after 2 years and delighted to see that the food is still tremendous. staff were excellent also. highly recommended.21/12/2012 16:00:00Festive treatPerfect place for a super supper when you want to make-up for not being there for Christmas. We shared the venison Wellington, which was as beautifully presented as it was tasty. Food as theatre; Trinity never disappoints.18/12/2012 00:00:00Adam Byatt and his team alwaysAdam Byatt and his team always deliver - the food and service is consistently excellent.16/12/2012 16:00:00We had lunch at Trinity andWe had lunch at Trinity and enjoyed their Autumn Menu. This really is a very good restaurant, with superb food, wine list and service. It was a thoroughly enjoyable experience from start to finish. I cannot recommend the place strongly enough.06/11/2012 00:00:00Deserves a Michelin StarFanastic restaurant - food is amazing - though my favourite thing was the bread and goats milk butter at the begining of the meal - definitely attempting to get its first Michelin star and it fully deserves it.18/10/2012 16:00:00
