A word from Tom's Kitchen
Tom’s Kitchen is a modern British twist on a French brasserie. While brasserie means comfort food – there is Caesar salad and steak tartare, fish pie and macaroni cheese (with a grating of truffle), Tom’s Kitchen also puts its well-executed spin on other dishes such as hand-dived baked scallops with chorizo, and duck confit. Desserts are no less exciting - and comforting, from milk chocolate mousse profiteroles to espresso crème brûlée.
Tom’s Kitchen believes in making the most of the seasons, so the menu changes accordingly, bringing the best each month has to offer.
Breakfast is big at Tom’s Kitchen - voted Best Breakfast in London by Time Out. As well as The Full English, dishes include eggs royale with smoked salmon, crisp Belgian waffles with caramelized apples, cinnamon cream and maple syrup, plus homemade granola with mixed berries and Greek yoghurt.

Diner Reviews
  • "Amazing brunch menu- great for hangovers. Mac n cheese seemed a little overpriced though. But overall, decently priced meal. Second time dining here and food has yet to fail. Staff was quite busy this sunday so a little difficult to get their attention at times but nonetheless pleasant experience."

  • "We visited on Saturday as the menu suited our family, my hubby loves gourmet burgers and my daughter loves god home cooked favourites such as Shepherds Pie. The quality of the food is superb, the Shepherds Pie was the best we have ever had, served in a lovely little dish and the chips were delicious. The burger was excellent, good bun and accompaniments. Service was superb and It's a lovely little restuarant on a quiet Chelsea street. The best part was the Baked Alaska that they light at the table, IIts really boozy and food heaven. We will be back."

  • "With a house just around the corner from this restaurant we are frequent customers and consider it one of our favourite venues. We have been dining here since the week it opened its doors and seldom had anything other than a great experience. However, on Wednesday evening it fell far short of our expectations. The food, particularly the main courses was very disappointing. The fish cakes were inedible and the fish pie enormous and contained almost no fish. The staff were friendly and the manageress couldn't have been nicer when she saw that we were unable to eat our food. I felt let down as my mother had been really looking forward to her first visit here to celebrate her birthday."
    dined on 09/04/2014
  • "Foie gras and salmon starters were excellent and went perfectly with the wine. The sea bass main was fine though not particularly sensational in flavour. Fine place for a simple night out and some good food, company, wine, and I like the atmosphere of the restaurant."
    dined on 07/04/2014
  • "Average food, served with warmish wine, from an unengaged waiter. Overrated and not to be recommended."
    dined on 01/04/2014
  • "Whilst I appreciate it was Mothering Sunday the staff could not cope. Reception was lukewarm and we were seated for 20 mins before anyone offered us a menu and took our drinks order. Staff seemed to be everywhere running around aimlessly with no one obviously in control. When the peak period quietened off rather grubby kitchen staff seemed to appear from downstairs in the main dining area and also a couple of staff in suits were having their meal in the restaurant. Upon asking for a hot chocolate pot dessert the waitress pulled her face and said there is a wait for those, so chose an alternative to then have to wait 25 mins! We did not complain and paid the gratuity but we won't we rushing back."

  • "We shared the truffled macaroni cheese which I can highly recommend (£13). We then both had the roast wild duck with celeriac mash, spiced pear and port sauce. It was not bad and price reasonable at £22 but not outstanding. For pudding I had the hot choc pot with pistachio ice cream, which was good from what I remembered. My friend had the sherry trifle which he enjoyed (£7.50 each). We had a cocktail to start with (£20). Bottle of chablis to follow (£44) and a glass of pudding wine to finish (£15) + 12.5% service and before you know if the total bill is £170!!"

  • "Being a regular of their CW location I can say food was pretty consistent. Ambiance wise I prefer CW though."
    dined on 27/03/2014
  • "Not too long ago a friend suggested coming here after work, and what a find! Great atmosphere, friendly service, and tasty food. I love their mushroom ragout with herb gnocchi."
    dined on 28/02/2014
  • "Didn't have a great experience, food not as good as expected. Small restaurant, space very tight and very noisy. Overpriced for what we had."
    dined on 23/03/2014
  • "I met a friend here for lunch and had a lovely brunch. Delicious eggs florentine! The service is exceptional and there is a great ambience in the busy restaurant. Loved the menu too. Will be back!"
    dined on 08/03/2014
  • "This was the fourth time we came here as a group for breakfast. All dishes, eggs, pancakes, waffles are fresh and delicious. Even the fruit is amazing. Staff are welcoming and helpful but not too interfering. Perfect place for breakfast."
    dined on 20/03/2014
  • "We had heard about the 7 hour lamb from friends - and it certainly lived up to expectations. Delicious! Friendly service, a bit crowded and chaotic though."
    dined on 17/03/2014
  • "We went for a Saturday brunch which was delicious. Informal, relaxed surroundings and fast service. Portions were huge, couldn’t finish all the food! Eggs yolks are a rich yellow colour, apparently all due to their Cornish heritage. Quite a hefty price for brunch, but it is a lovely restaurant in Chelsea. Would definitely return."
    dined on 15/03/2014
  • "Met up with oldest son and ex husband for a really good meal in a very relaxing environment. Ace Bloody Mary, outstanding steak sandwich and outrageous chocolate pudding. The staff have their customer interaction at just the right level and the relaxed vibe and easy surroundings made for an excellent Saturday lunch. We shall return!"
    dined on 08/03/2014
  • "we amended he booking from 2 people to 3 people at 1830 however te rest only showed the original reservation for 2 people and hence we were seated upstairs..... toptable reservation amendment didn't work it seems"
    dined on 06/03/2014
  • "Unfortunately very good service by waitress was brought down by reception and friendliness of receptionist. She was quite rude."
    dined on 05/03/2014
  • "Brunch here is excellent. I've been here every weekend since I discovered it. It does not disappoint."
    dined on 02/03/2014
  • "I Definitely recommend this place, nice atmosphere, a friendly staff and delicious food! Simple but yummy! The burger and steak sandwich are absolutely divine and the portions are quite big. Amazing for a dinner with the boyfriend, a lunch with the family or a brunch with your friends, this place is just great!"
    dined on 01/03/2014
  • "A beautiful setting, lively fun atmosphere, fabulous feed and the best service. A wonderful night was delivered."
    dined on 20/02/2014
  • "Great food and laid back atmosphere. Good, friendly service. This was my 3rd visit and it didn't disappoint. I've been for lunch and dinner but apparently the brunch menu is not to be missed either."
    dined on 16/02/2014
  • "Very noisy and cramped. Found it difficult to have a conversation. They were keen for you to move on quickly so they could get the table ready for those people who hadn't booked."
    dined on 16/02/2014
  • "I love Toms kitchen - the food is consistently very good indeed. Their breakfast is great but when 2 English breakfasts and a couple of drinks comes to best part if £50 with service you can't help feel like you've been taken advantage of. Shame."
    dined on 14/02/2014
  • "If you don't know about English food, you won't get convinced here. I found the description on the website very flattering and not in accordance at all with what we had in our plates. Prices are OK but as food is really not sexy, you just get dissappointed. The restaurant is in addition very noisy, downstairs like upstairs. Nevertheless, service is good and the waiters are really attentive. For all these reasons, I won't come back and I wouldn't recommend."
    dined on 07/02/2014
  • "Toms kitchen was one of the best meals I have had. The food was delicious, cocktails were great and the staff were very attentive. The restaurant is quite small and its a bit of a squeeze between tables. The menu is not overly expensive but its not cheap either however you really are getting fresh quality food."
    dined on 31/01/2014
  • "I had dinner at Tom's Kitchen with three friends last Friday night. We'd made a reservation weeks in advance and my friend had been emailing with the host regarding a vegan meal. We were told the chef could put together a three course vegan meal. When we arrived the server was not aware of this request. The chef decided to make a salad both for the starter and main, which was quite disappointing. Additionally, the meal was not in fact vegan as I went home that night and had a reaction to dairy that must have been in the sauce or vegetable saute. With an increase of food allergies and dietary needs it's truly a shame that Tom's Kitchen could not manage one vegan meal and perhaps shouldn't have offered to accommodate a special request at all."
    dined on 24/01/2014
  • "Toms kitchen met out expectations having read the good reviews! The shepherds pie and chicken in bread crumbs with sweet peppers were both delicious! The sticky toffee pudding was to die for! The service great and even though it was very busy we felt well looked after! Thank you for a perfect lunch we will definitely return"
    dined on 01/02/2014
  • "Superb sunday lunch and a great way to spend my birthday afternoon"
    dined on 26/01/2014
  • "Table booked for 2:00pm, didn't eat until 45mins later. Menu over priced for the standard of food. Enjoyable but won't be returning or recommending. Unimpressed, sorry."
    dined on 25/01/2014
  • "Menu was true to a good bistro and the food was delicious. There is a cracking atmosphere in the restaurant. Having read previous comments I was apprehensive of the service, but we found our waiter to be very charming and very good at this job."
    dined on 25/01/2014
  • "Crammed table that all passing waiters constantly knocked into, haphazard service - sad as this has always been a good place, clearly trying to cram as many people in as possible with less but clumsy staff"
    dined on 23/01/2014
  • "I first read about Tom's Kitchen when I was running a Google search on the best Truffled Mac and Cheese in London. Every review I read praised the restaurant and quality of its food - I can confirm - they weren't lying! When I arrived at the restaurant with my party, the first thing we were given was a Truffled Mac and Cheese on the house to share as a starter. It was delicious! I was close to ordering it as a main course too, but instead decided on the Wild Mushroom Pappardelle, which was equally fabulous! The wine and desserts were also well received and absolutely lovely. On a final note, we were offered a bottle of champagne on the house, so it was definitely a great way to end the day!"
    dined on 17/01/2014
  • "My overall feedback will be skewed because of the bad experience with the rude waitress. We had a 3 months old baby who was crying for few mins when we first arrived and he slept quietly for the rest of the meal. None of the guests were bothered as the noise level at Tom's was already quite high. The waitress serving us, gave us a look and asked us if we think the baby is going to cry for the whole time. She was unbelievably rude! We spent few hours researching online looking for a baby friendly place in the area before we decided on Tom's Kitchen. So it was really disappointing to receive such bad service. But other than that, all other service staff was really nice and helpful."
    dined on 22/01/2014
  • "We went for a pre-theatre dinner, so arrived at 6pm just as the restaurant opened for the evening - it did mean it was quiet, but the staff managed to provide exceptional service without hovering around. The food is great, pretty straight forward but so tasty. I had the burger which was lovely and one of my friends raved about the fish and chips - really good Gastropub style food but a step up."
    dined on 22/01/2014
  • "Nicely decorated and good ambience, good wine and cocktails, but food was distinctly average and the prices did not reflect that."
    dined on 17/01/2014
  • "Everytime I come to London I stop by here. The food is fresh, seasonal, expertly prepared and a great value for the high quality. I love Tom's Kitchen!"
    dined on 17/01/2014
  • "been to toms before and had a great meal. the special risotto of the day was way too salty. stek sandwich more of steak salad but was tasty with yumbo chips. service was spot on if robotic.staff liked to stand around and chat to each other."
    dined on 14/01/2014
  • "Food was excellent - fresh, simply prepared, cooked perfectly. Service was fair at best - alternating between intrusive and nonexistent, with every interaction including a hefty dose of attitude/contempt. Attractive interior with a nice balance of rustic and chic decor. Pity about the service, it put a damper on an otherwise excellent experience at this restaurant."
    dined on 12/01/2014
  • "Great service and delicious breakfast! Dont miss the french toast and waffles"
    dined on 13/01/2014
  • "Overall experience was pretty poor. The food was served barely warm and went cold very quickly as we were sat upstairs next to a large window with cold air seeping through. The waiting staff were slow and one of the waiters used a swear word at the table when he got the order wrong. The food was extremely over priced for what it was. It's disappointing as I was expecting a lot better."
