Good choice of starters I had pork
terrine with pickled shallots and cornichons which was delicious. Roast beef and all the trimmings was excellent and huge portion. Good choice of desserts recommend the cheese board. Great value and good service."

We chose our first ever visit to
TNQ for a Saturday evening meal after a matinee at The Palace Theatre and it was just what we were looking for. A welcoming restaurant, friendly staff and good food. We couldn't really fault them for these things and we're glad that we had booked a table as maybe 12 or so times during our meal they had to apologise to "walk in" customers that they were fully booked. If we had to pick faults, the menu is perhaps a little brief and we felt they were a little cheeky adding 10% (£9) service charge to our bill. We would had left a very good tip anyway as we were pleased with everything. It is just the principle. We will certainly go back."
dined on 25/01/2014
Lovely evening. We've been here
before but a long time ago. Food was absolutely outstanding and our waitress was really attentive. Just one issue was that our food sat on the side waiting to be served to us while several staff walked past. Hence it wasn't as warm as it could have been. Would definitely recommend however."

this was my third time here, I try
to come every time I am n Manchester. The food is consistently good, I would not hesitate to recommend this restaurant. The service is excellent and tables are cleared quickly and efficiently to an able a nice turnaround of customers. Looking forward to coming back !!"

Had a very enjoyable dinner in a
packed TNQ with super friends"

TNQ is one of the few restaurants
where vegeterian and meat-lovers can have a peaceful night with excellent food! The restaurant tends to be a bit noisy and the wine selection a bit expensive but the food and service compensates for everything."
dined on 13/12/2013
Very busy but very good service
and a lovely meal. The fish main was delightful all in all a very good experience."
dined on 13/12/2013
This is Manchester's outstanding
restaurant for modern British cooking. The menu is excellent and the schedule of themed events such as Game Night is exciting and clever. I want this place to continue to thrive."
dined on 12/12/2013
Excellent food, specially from the
sea. Lovely staff providing good service on a busy evening. Good choice of wines. Recommended and would visit again."
dined on 07/12/2013
Limited menu but fabulous food
well presented. Freindly waitress who was able to provide assistance with choice's and had clearly been working in the restraunt for some time."
dined on 04/12/2013
Great choice of menu. There is
something for all tastes. The staff are very attentive and friendly. There is a great atmosphere as well."
dined on 06/12/2013
We went on Sunday as we'd heard
that the sunday lunch was excellent. We went for the 2 courses deal, and all the starters were of a very high standard, and we weren't disappointed by the roast either. Lots of veg came with the meal, and everything tasted brilliant. Great atmosphere, we stayed for a couple of hours as we finished our bottle of wine and never felt rushed by the staff, i wish we'd had enough room for dessert as they also looked very tasty."
dined on 24/11/2013
Me and my girls had a fabulous 3
course lunch in this restaurant. We were recommended by a friend and so glad we went along. The food was great, staff were brilliant and it was great value. The next time I'm in Manchester I'll be back!"
dined on 23/11/2013
extremely nice, efficient and
friendly staff, who knew the menu well. Interesting veggie options for me, helpful reaction to a friend who can.t eat onions, garlic...etc! Bit noisy for my taste."
dined on 22/11/2013
Brought partner here for 30th
birthday celebrations, it was a great choice with great portion size and so much effort into each individual dish. I absolutely recommend the pumpkin risotto. Even the leaves scattered for decoration were somehow delicious! Go on Monday if possible!"
dined on 18/11/2013
Great fresh and delicious food all
round. Everyone in our group loved their starters and mains and the wine which was recommended to us, went perfectly with our food selection. You can see the chefs busy in the kitchen making sure all thethe dishes are cooked and presented to perfection. Also great value for money, for what is more of a fine dining experience. We would definitely go again and would highly recommend."
dined on 26/10/2013
We had heard that TNQ did a good
Sunday lunch, we had the roast beef and the roast lamb. The lamb was lovely and tender but the beef was extremely tough. The rest of the accompaniments were well cooked presented and very tasty. I would defiantly go again and hope that the bad beef was just a one off glitch. Staff were lovely too."
dined on 20/10/2013
We've been to TnQ a couple of
times before and this time didn't disappoint! Lovely menu with unusual twists that make it different to many other restaurants. Good quality food, great friendly staff and a lovely atmosphere! Definitely would recommend...make sure you book though - you might be disappointed as it is a busy, popular restaurant."
dined on 19/10/2013
We went to TNQ to celebrate
getting engaged with a party of 6. The setting is superb, with a great view of the redeveloped market opposite. Right in the bustling area of the NQ but the restaurant retained a calm and relaxed atmosphere. We were bang in the middle of the restaurant but it was still a very intimate and private experience and we did not feel exposed at all. The staff were great, v attentive but never overbearing and v friendly. V knowledgeable of the food. The food was spot on. No complaints from anyone. Music was great, in keeping with the NQ atmosphere and set the right tone. We were the last in the restaurant but were never made to feel like we had to leave anytime soon."

On a cold wet Tuesday evening in
Manchester where do you go for great food? Yet again NQR delivered top quality food. Table for two near to the pass, love watching the kitchen prepare the dishes. We've been to NQR several times, as a couple, as part of larger family groups - never been disappointed. Melt in the mouth beef carpaccio starter followed by suckling pig with the best crackling I've ever tasted, even managed to find room for a vanilla panacotta! All delivered with excellent service."

Went for a leisurely lunch with
family and chose from the lunch deal ( 2 courses for £13.95) good choice and the food was very nice. Service was efficient and friendly."

We had a lovely meal on Sunday. It
was my friends birthday and she was really pleased. I have been twice before, been great on both occasions. Thanks"

I recently dined here with my
boyfriend. On arrival we were greeted by friendly staff and given a choice of tables to sit at. Once we were seated service was prompt, friendly and professional. The staff had a good knowledge of the menu. We chose from the a la carte menu and also the specials which were a nice additional and were very tasty. The atmosphere is lovely and relaxing despite being big and open it doesn't feel too empty and still feels quite cosy. It's not cheap but reasonable value for the service and quality of food. Would recommend."
dined on 24/08/2013
The restaurant was in a complete
state when we arrived. There were 2 tables of customers, and a swarm of people drinking at the newly set up outdoor area. The bar was covered in dirty glasses and empty bottles. I have not seen a more univiting scene at a restaurant before. The staff were all preoccupied and got orders wrong, and we ordered the meal which came with unlimited wine. The waitress wouldn't leave the bottle, instead saying she would fill our glasses as and when, which only happened the once as the staff were very inattentive. A request for a jug of tap water was ignored, even when my ftaher choked on a chilli. The service was very poor, the food was not as described, and the price was far too high for the service and quality."

After a day out in Manchester we
wanted a good dinner to round off the day. I found TNQ was recommended on Tripadvisor so booked a table for Sat night. We'd finished visiting museum/art gallery so walked up to the restaurant to see if they could seat us an hour earlier. The waitress greeted us with a smile, checked their bookings and seated us quickly. Choice of a la carte or specials menu. Good range of meat, fish and vegetarian dishes and reasonably priced. Good quality wine list too. I chose tempura vegetables in a chilli and lime dressing, followed by vege-burger, real chips and slaw (red cabbage and beetroot). Glass of South African chenin blanc was an excellent accompaniment. Friendly attentive service. £55 for two including service."

Four of us went for dinner on
Saturday, prebooked. Service was attentive and friendly. The menu was interesting and varied enough without being overwhelming and mentioned local produce. I had the lamb which was lean and tender but the dish didn't come with potatoes or similar and I felt this could've been pointed out as the other mains we had did. Then had salted caramel chocolate cheesecake which was delicious. The atmosphere was good if slightly loud and lively which I felt didn't quite gel with the type of food on offer. Overall, a good experience and we weren't rushed - the timing of service were just right."

Being in the trendy Northern
Quarter I had high hopes and booked a table ..... We were the only people dining! It was a Monday lunch so didn't expect it to be crazy busy, the head waiter was very blaze and not very accommodating, the reasonably priced dry white an Sauvignon blanc were out of stock so we were offered a medium sweet house, giving us no option but to purchase the most expensive white, when asked if he could do anything on the price he basically threw up his arms and said take it or leave it! Frankly at this pointt I would have left the restaurant, but I had 2 elderly clients with me so it wasn't an option. The food was average. I would not return to this restaurant or reccomend to any friends or clients."

I have been to NQ4 Restaurant
several times and it never fails to impress. The seasonal menus are packed with amazing flavour combinations, and there's always something unexpected to tempt you to try something new. The service is faultless, and the wine selection compliments the cuisine perfectly. The special offers for lunches and weekday dining are perfect for all pockets, while the weekend al la carte promises to deliver that bit extra for a special occassion or celebration."
dined on 24/08/2012
overall a good restaurant, but the
it seems under staffed for a Saturday business. As the rest we waited to be served. It doesn't seems to cater for mid-range prices for wines."
dined on 22/06/2013
Food was good - freshly prepared -
far better than say a typical bar or a chain restaurant. Wine choice was great with plenty of choice by the glass Ambience is pub/bar like eg pub quality tables and noisy. Our table for two was too small to easily fit food plates and drinks. Service efficient but casual. We were served/seen to by four different staff members over our meal Overall a good meal and I think you'd enjoy a visit. But the food/experience not sufficient to stand out as a "must do" place to dine"
dined on 22/06/2013
Excellent food with good choices
and the set menu is very good value. However, what starts as a £16.95 meal soon racks up to £35.00 per head after 2 or 3 drinks! The staff are very pleasant however it's difficult to get their attention and they forget what you have asked them for I.e. drinks and bill you needs to ask two or three times. We have had the same experience on two visits. Watch put for the Service Charge."
dined on 21/06/2013
Really good food, and great value
if you go for the pre-7pm deal. The staff were really friendly. I'll definitely be going there again."
dined on 17/06/2013
I took my dad for fathers day, he
eats out alot and said it was one of the besrt Sunday roasts he had had in a very long time."
dined on 16/06/2013
We were taken by the look of the
restaurant first, and so booked a pre-theatre table, enabling us to take advantage of the love lunch menu. Once at our table, (in an empty restaurant), it took the waitress a good 10 mins or so to give us some menus. After that, she was very attentive. The food was tasty, nicely presented and well cooked throughout. However, as it was the lunch menu, the portion sizes were quite small. I would recommend ordering a few sides! On the whole a fairly good experience, and would probably visit again."
dined on 06/06/2013
We don't live in Manchester,
otherwise we'd dine here often. Lovely and relaxed, with top class food, not always things you'd find together. Staff friendly and helpful without being too much in your face. Would suit lots of different people: well, people who love good food!"
dined on 31/05/2013
If you get there by 6:30 you get a
three-course meal for £17 -- great value! We had tempura and the goats cheese fritter for starters. Both were very good -- delicately fried, with interesting and appropriate side salads. For mains, we had fish and chips and the veggie burger. The burger was amazing -- ridiculously dense, savoury, and tasty. The fish was less good, though the peas it came with were great. Both came with really excellent chips -- chunky but light and crisp. For dessert we had sticky toffee pudding (enormous and easily the best I've ever had), and creme brulee (also very good, with a nice thick glaze on top). Finally, the staff were the friendliest I've encountered in ages -- easy-going, considerate, and conversational."

evening with friends for a last minute birthday celebration - fantastic value offer - food, as always, very high standard and fun"
