Food is french bistro, Friday special of fish stew was superb. It's a wonderful high ceiled dining room that it a pleasure to dine in. Fast becoming one of our favourites.

Most of the wine list is available by the glass so my friend and I were able to make our own specific choices to match our food.

It was a bit of scrum to get in on wet night, but other than that a delightful experience. The setting is terrific and the menu harks back to an earlier era of service and elegance. Not much room around the tables, but that is consistent with a brasserie style. Food was top notch and will definitely go again. Staff seemed quite stressed on arrival and forgot to take our coats from us, which was dissappointing considering other diners had their coats placed in the cloak room, leaving us to place on our chairs.
Service throughout the meal however was exceptional, very attentive.
Shame some of the restaurant tables are so close together, you could feel like you are literally dining with strangers; however we did not let this dampen our experience as the ambience was vibrant and noise levels were at a good point so you could hold your conversations between yourselves and not with the strangers next to you.

We ordered the mixed basket of pastries, all of which were superb. In addition, my wife ordered the fish cake while I ordered the potato rosti, both of which were superb. The rosti, however, was a bit too small for my liking but tasted perfect nonetheless. The fish cake, on the other hand, was perfect in evey way and is definitely something we'll order again.
