We had a couple of drinks in the upstairs bar before going to our table where we chose from the menu.
The menu was not extensive but well informed which caused a problem purely on the basis all the dishes were all amazing, and I would have liked to choose all of them.
Certainly for a special occassion, the food service and setting were great.
At £139 for 2 people, for Drinks, Wine, 3 courses and service charge, not the cheapest restaurant locally (and I have paid more for nothing as good) give it a try.

Diners can see in to the kitchen where the cooks can be seen preparing the food. Its a quiet efficient kitchen giving diners confidence in a very high standard of food. The tables are big enough to accommodate all the extra servings and cutlery without it all falling off the table. Staff are attentive and professional without being intrusive. Although the restaurant and food are beautiful it's that staff that make it a wonderful, relaxed dining experience. It is a modern style, no tablecloths. They don't try to "sell" extras to you. To the extent I have to remind myself to order olives with the drinks, and the bread! Pre-meal drinks are taken upstairs on banquette seating and stools, large cushions ensure comfort for the time diners are there. Our order is taken just at the right moment and we are shown to our table shortly after. We have been going since it opened, we do try various places, but it comes back as a favorite. The scallop starter with Jerusalem artichoke puree and bacon was very tasty, the fish main, Sea Bass for me and Cod for my wife was full of flavor. The restaurant is modern, but at the same time has a traditional feel about it. The food is always fantastic. The only way I would improve it would be to add a couple more mains to the menu and always keep risotto As an option. it is fantastic! I would also prefer it if the meal came with veg and potatoes rather than having to pay extra. The bill can really mount up when you take the kids... The service throughout is excellent and nothing too much trouble. The food is always delicious and I personally always find it hard to decide.......the steaks are always very tasty. On this occasion yet again it exceeded my expectations. The food was wonderful, delicious, what more can I say? They were very accommodating when we requested variations on the menu; the service was everything we required.
