The service was attentive and seamless without being intrusive, and because they seated us well, the ambience managed to have enough buzz despite being a Monday night. There is an Austrian white wine that I didn't know but they loved, which was great as well. There is an extensive spirits list as well. The food was delicious and the peanut butter, rum and caramel dessert was fantastic. It was all capped off by friendly, engaging serving staff. I'm not sure what was happening on those nights but I can say that when I took my date there we were both thoroughly delighted with both service and food.
The waiter asked us if we'd like to order a drink, we'd chatted so much and forgot to look at the wine list but he was great, asking us what we liked (white/red, dry/sweet etc.) and then gave us a couple of options, wow!
We ordered the same starter and I did receive the wrong one (only cross against the night) but this turned out to be a good thing. The starters and main that we had were amazing, best food EVER.

Though there were hoards of young people milling around, our table was quiet and we were able to conduct our conversations without shouting at each other, very important when you're not in the first flush of youth!

The bar with open (gas) fire and seating is a great place to relax before eating. The restaurant area is pretty informal too. It really does feel like you are a long way from central London - but you aren't. The food is surprisingly good too.
