We enjoyed both our meals. Though I'd say my main meal was slightly salty. But it wasn't overly so and didn't detract from our enjoyment on the day. We ordered the burger --one of the best burgers I've had in London.24/09/2012 00:00:00Celebration mealI got promoted recently and my Husband wanted to take me out for a celebratory meal - i was so very impressed with eveything about the Salt house, especially the food - i had the best mussels i have ever eaten followed by a seriously good steak - cooked exactly how i liked.
The wine list was excellent and the atmosphere was just lovely - we chose the table recessed back ( a lovely intimate dining experience) The open fire made it all the more special. Bustling inside and out, food was superbly tasty and portions generous, service was delightful, attentive but not irritatingly in your face all the time. Just perfectly judged. And the interior refurb has added warmth without ruining the charm of the original building. New lounge upstairs adds more space and a nice vibe. Only the toilets still need some TLC.
