There was a wedding disco going on in the room joined onto the restaurant, and each time the door was opened it was a little noisy, but a good meal overall. It really is a fabulous place to dine, there is a lovely ambience and it is always extremely busy. Dishes selected from both the alcarte and fixed priced menus. The resturant was very busy, with a Wedding Party, two Family Parties and Dinners enjoying themselves both within and outside the restaurant. However, this did not distract us a very enjoyable meal. The reception from staff was good, we were seated by the bar swiftly and drinks were not far behind, once shown to our table the service was good and we didn't feel rushed.

We decided on the day to have our lunch in the bar rather than at a table and found a very comfortable seat in the lounge near to the bar.
The food is delicious, both my husband and daughter had the cod and chunky chips. The fish was huge which caused some amusement. The portion of chunky chips looked quite small compared to the fish when the food arrived but proved to be enough, any more would have been gluttony. I had a chicken wrap & skinny chips which were equally tasty.
The service is warm and friendly and you always feel welcome. The service was outstanding at all times. The menu had a lot of choice, unusual for Sunday lunch, all the roasts you would expect plus a few other dishes including fish of the day and vegetarian. The roasts come with beautiful puffy yorkies and lots of fresh vegetables. my other half's fish came with a beautifully dressed salad. There is a lot of choice for desserts too, including the famous Rossi ice cream and a delectably light sponge pudding. For three courses plus a little smoked duck appetiser you pay £24.50 which is amazing value.
