The menu was captivating on several levels; food came swiftly. A heel of beef turned out to be a formed pot of delicious shredded beef; corn-fed chicken might well have been fed on precisely that, but it made no difference and was merely a menu-writer's affectation. It was excellent. So too were the 'rooftop' chunky chips. Puddings were outstandingly good. A banoffee pudding filled with surprising varieties of sweetnesses. Service was attentive and very friendly. The restaurant was very busy when we arrived, so we were glad we had booked a table. The service was geared up to make sure we would get to our theatre seat in good time. The service was excellent, there was a reasonable selection of food which was generally of good quality and the wine by the glass was reasonably priced and suited our palates. We enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. We have used the restaurant a few times now and on all occasions the service has been to an impeccable standard. The people who work there set a benchmark for service [we dine out a lot]. Meals are first class, served quickly and you are guaranteed to be in your seat by curtain rise. A touch pricey but hey, if you want the best and the convenience, there's a slight premium to pay.

Didn't particularly agree with the optional tip being included in the bill. This should be offered by the customers
on an individual basis.
