I recently took my partner for her Birthday, as we had stopped off one before, but just had the burger, and this is still on my top 5 list.. ;-)
The food was lovely, faultless, and the service was just as good. We were never left waiting and there was always someone around to ask if we needed anything.
The whole meal was very reasonably priced, and I would defiantly recommend this restaurant to anyone in the area, or even travelling, as it is well worth a visit....14/04/2013 00:00:00We had a super meal and theWe had a super meal and the food was excellent!! Will certainly be back before too long.10/04/2013 00:00:00One of my favorite restaurantsThe Rams Head consistently put out great food for it's customers. We often go and although new to the area almost feel like locals there. The staff are professional and welcoming. The food is outstanding. What can I say, just s truly lovely place set in beautiful countryside. The meals are filling without being too big. Do yourself a favour and support your local pub/restaurant and go. I doubt you will regret it.05/04/2013 00:00:00Very welcoming pub the openVery welcoming pub the open fire made it feel very cosy on such a cold evening, although the starters were very ordinary, the main course was excellent and we will go back to eat there again.31/03/2013 00:00:00Well worth itA very enjoyable meal, well cooked and presented. The food is extremely good and plentiful. Whilst we are not meat eaters, there are plenty of fish and vegetarian options. The home-made chips are wonderful.
The staff are pleasant and friendly and were very kind to my 84 year-old mother.03/02/2013 00:00:00A class actA dramatic location for this traditional inn with the very best traditional values. The menus are extensive, the wine list is impressive and the quality of the food is second to none.03/02/2013 00:00:00Seafood PancakeI have never tasted a seafood pancake quite like it it melted in my mouth and the proper chips were as they are described - beautiful - I will definitely return.20/12/2012 16:00:00A foggy December nightTook us longer to arrive than expected due to fog, but this did not present any problems. Service excellent, all staff very attentive. Good selection of real ales i had Landord which was a very good pint.I had the pigeon Breast and black pudding salad, followed by steak and Xmas pudding. All well cooked and extremely well flavoured. Unfortunately we were seated right next to the kitchen door, not the best place and next time will try to avoid this. Would have given 5 stars but for the seating arrangement.20/12/2012 16:00:00
