The PoacherA Quiet Place In The CountryThe Poacher is set in the countryside, not far from a river and short post-meal walk to a lock. The dining room is well spaced, allowing quiet conversation at the table - no intrusive musak. The food is delicious and the Poacher's mixed platter for desert is good to share over coffee.

The service was excellent - we did not have to wait for service of delivery of the food, but we did not feel rushed, and had use of the table all evening.
The food is a little pricey, but don't mind this as the quality is excellent.
We have been here a few times now and have never been disappointed.
