It was just amazing! Beautiful view and the waiters came and sang a birthday song for me. They was so friendly and I will totally come back, if I'm going to London again.

The choice of the menu seemed to cater for all tastes and I chosed the chicken & forest mushroom pie. It was delicious. (The mash potato was to die for!)
Dessert was a hard choice because there was so much to choose from so I settled for the lemon posset with vanilla shortbread and it was so smooth and delicious on the palate, a perfect choice.

Considering that 12.5% service charge is added to the bill it took too long to get the attention of the waiter. There was no one at reception on arrival. In my opinion it shows that staff does not have to work for tips. All things said our waiter was very friendly.

Greeted warmly on arrival, and shown straight to our table, I found the service excellent. Once ordered, the food arrived promptly, we were not rushed between courses, and the waiting staff were courteous, friendly and attentive at all times.
On departure, we were shaken warmly by the hand as we said farewell, and we left feeling we had been made important and valued.

To be honest, went in for the Narrow short rib burger to see if there would be any discernable difference from other 'gourmet' burger places, as well as to see if it warranted being on an otherwise top flight menu. I wanted to say "tasted like anything else", but this would be a bold-faced lie. It was sumptuous, perfectly cooked, with exactly the right crunchiness coming from the bacon and slaw. The handcut chips were perfect and crispy on the outside, fluffy and flavourfull in the inside. Coupled this with a 2010 Little Yering pinot noir which was great without being too sweet. The banana sticky toffee with Jersey clotted cream for after was also fantastic. Therefore, me and my colleague had high expectations for our second visit and they were fully met, probably because we had the same attentive and swift Portuguese waiter. The food is also fantastic and although not overly expensive, I believe that 22 pounds for a tiny steak is pushing it a bit, specially when you take into account that it doesn't even come with chips. The manager was wonderfully friendly. We went in the evening but as it is on the Thames I think it would be an ideal lunch time venue. There was an outdoor seating area which would be perfect on a good summer's day. I had fish and chips and the portions were good and very tasty. This is a Gordon Ramsay restaurant but the dishes were not overpriced (important when you are on the SA rand where the exchange rate is 14:1!!!). We were seated right by the window. One of the staff noticed straightaway that my friend was giving me a present and asked if there was a special occasion and I told her. We had a bottle of prosecco and 3 courses and a coffee each and it only came to £54 per head with service so I thought it was really fantastic value. A pleasant and warm atmosphere greeted us when we entered. It is a perfect blend of sunday pub for a drink and a relaxed restaurant. We came for a late lunch and were pleasantly surpirsed with the option to dine in the bar or restaurant. After that we had "the Narrow" and gnocchi: the first one is a -perfect- burger, the second is a typical italian dish -well made, and we are Italians!-. We also took wine, it was great too.
We were there for a special occasion, Sil's Birthday; we absolutely recommend it, we enjoyed the place, the food, the location, the service... ALL PERFECT!

Wine list weren't to expensive, cocktails were a bit more expensive, but very tasty. Only thing that was not as good was the 12.5% service charge but we gave the waitress the cash instead. The menu is really good because it offers a roast, fish and chips and good vegetarian option. The portions are really good. The staff are excellent - efficient and friendly. The view of the river is really lovely especially. There was a heater close to our table so comments have been noted and actions.
