The Living Room did remind me of Smithfields in London.The bar area was great and had live music. The cocktail menu was also very perfect and had lots to choose from. We had a table booked and was seated promptly by a very friendly member of staff, who looked after us throughout the meal. The table was lovely and the menu was great. The food was exactly as I expected, very good! The only negative I could fine about the place was that the bathroom was two floors down below the resturant. Overall it is good and I will be going back but there are improvements to be made. We found the restaurant a little chilly which isn't very comfortable when dining. We also ordered some bread and oil to eat while waiting for our starters but unfortunately they came out with the starters! Id strongly suggest changing that. The waitress was very nice though so can't fault the staff.
The restaurant wouldn't be suitable for anyone who struggled to walk either as the stairs are very steep and lots of them.
Food was nice and they have a children's menu .

The contact from the restaurant beforehand was brilliant and we were able to pre-order our food which meant that we were able to focus on enjoying the night. The staff are very friendly and they food is great - something for everyone!! Value for money cannot be touched with January's 50% off food voucher, hence the service rating of 4 star, as the staff were caught unaware of the number of finers turning up without booking... With the bonus of a 50% off voucher, we enjoyed starters, mains and a bottle of wine for around £60. The scallop and black pudding starter was divine and cooked to perfection.
We love the booths in the restaurant. It is a small venue but still manages to allow private dining with the way it is laid out. The waiting staff are attentive but not over-bearing. Though we were the only ones there to start with, the ambience in the dining area was so good that you wouldn't notice. The menu was very good and catered for both of us - her being vegetarian and me being gluten-free. Also, for dishes that were not usually gluten-free they offered to make them so.
