The Grazing GoatLondon CallingA thoroughly enjoyable evening. We were leaving London the next day but our friends who were staying on thought about going back and trying some other dishes.18/05/2013 00:00:00Second visit - gorgeous!Great service! Good wine advice. Fantastic food and lo Ely ambiance! Will be back!11/05/2013 00:00:00I was looking for somewhereI was looking for somewhere to meet friends in this part of London and tripped over the Grazing Goat. Downstairs is the bar and table for eating and upstairs there are tables you can book. I did consider taking pot luck and not booking but I was glad we didn't. Both downstairs and upstairs were full on a Wednesday evening, always a good sign. The food was excellent and the staff were friendly, attentive but informal. Recommended.08/05/2013 00:00:00Can't wait to go back! The atmosphere was buzzing, the setting informal, the staff attentive without being intrusive, and every dish we had was excellent - the meat and fish dishes were cooked to perfection, everything was served beautifully, and even the vegetarian amongst us was delighted. We will definitely be going back!04/05/2013 00:00:00Great for drinks or a quiet meal!We went on a Sunny Thursday evening straight from work, and it was already heaving outside and downstairs despite being on a quiet little road in Marble Arch. We went upstairs to the restaurant which was slightly quieter, but already busy and bustling with a nice atmosphere. The tables were a good size, and the décor was fresh and tasteful, and the waitress was extremely attentive and helpful, and always had a smile. We had the fish of the day, which was beautiful and moist, and the buffalo ricotta & rocket salad was divine and extremely filling! Will definitely be going back in the near future, and have already told many of my friends about this place!25/04/2013 00:00:00A venue fit for fine grazingI have had Sunday lunch here are couple of times and both have been exceptional. Now I have also had a very pleasant evening meal with friends this is a great restaurant and I would highly recommend it....fine food, good wine and smiley swift service.22/04/2013 00:00:00No goats but a great placeThe Grazing Goat is a sily name but fortunately, there are no goats either on the menu or in the pub. This is a smart pub downstairs with a pleasant, airy restaurant upstairs. All the usual gastro pub fare is on the menu: battered cod & chunky chips, beef burger & chips & so on. All is well executed & served. The service is fast, friendly & efficient. It is just a very short walk from Oxford Street at the Marble Arch end & recommended for lunch or dinner (I have eaten both here) if you are shopping locally. It is a quiet oasis adjacent to the mad bustle of Oxford Street. Ignore the name & visit;I will certainly go again.08/04/2013 00:00:00Very nice eveningEverything was just really solid which is harder to find than you'd expect. We had a table of six for a business dinner - we booked for the convenient location. Service on arrival upstairs was prompt and courteous. It was a cold March night and the restaurant was nicely warm with a good atmosphere - busy but not overfilled. The wine and beer selection is good and it came out promptly. I had salt and chilli squid for starter and a Mey fillet for main. Both were prepared well and very tasty. Service throughout the meal was attentive but not invasive - no one wanted for anything for more than a few secoonds. I would have no hesitation returning here.25/03/2013 00:00:00Excellent Sunday lunchOverall a very pleasant dining experience. Quality food and excellent service. Not cheap but you get what you pay for.17/03/2013 00:00:00Great Birthday LunchI booked a table upstairs at the Grazing Goat for Sunday lunch to celebrate my mother's birthday. with a couple of days' notice, you can order a sharing roast beforehand and thought this would be a good idea for a party of four, and really glad we did. The joint of roast belly pork was absolutely delicious, as were the veg, crackling, etc. I also arranged a birthday cake, which too, was delicious and just right for the day. As ever the service was just right - friendly without being over the top. Can't recommend this place enough.17/03/2013 00:00:00Lunch at the Grazing GoatI've now had lunch at the Grazing Goat several times. On this occasion I went with a couple of friends. I had a tasty fish and chips with an excellent tomato and mozzarella side salad. The service is friendly, upbeat and helpful. The atmosphere is cosy but clean and airy: there's lots of light wood furniture and panelling on the walls, and big windows.16/03/2013 00:00:00Amazing CocktailsSome of the best cocktails I've had in London and the waitress was (too) good at telling us what others there were that might not have been on the menu still. The food was also great. A lovely relaxed atmosphere for a girlie catch up. Definitely recommend.15/02/2013 00:00:00Great againMy second visit to the grazing goat ...liked it so much the first time I visited again a week later !! This is my favourite smart yet casual west end pubby eatery ,,.....highly recommended. Next time I might go the whole hog & book a room (its a boutique hotel too!) so I can stagger up stairs after my yummy dinner !14/02/2013 00:00:00Good time at the grazing goatVisited the grazing goat for a Saturday lunch with a couple of girlfriends , it was my first time there & we all thoroughly enjoyed it ! A great menu which included lots of favourite dishes, really relaxed atmosphere, cool decor, very nice staff & excellent food. I eat out alot, and couldn't fault it - very good value - in fact am already booked in for next week with my husband!
Highly recommended. - hope my next visit is as good as the last ,02/02/2013 00:00:00Great value, friendly staffWe have been to the Grazing Goat on several weekends for afternoon and evening meals. Each time, the quality of food, prompt and friendy service has been of great value making for a gratifying experience. The establishment is casual, friendly and takes very seriously its apparent mission to make its customers happy. I recommend it highly.02/02/2013 00:00:00The amazing goatGreat lunch with great food and brilliant service at the Grazing Goat - brilliant!30/01/2013 00:00:00Very goodVery goof food in a great location! Hat off to the chef.23/01/2013 16:00:00Best steakCame here on a recommendation and wasn't disappointed. Couldn't fault the service. We came on a Friday lunchtime, it was pretty quiet. Despite this, the food took a bit longer to arrive than we expected, but once it had arrived it didn't fail to impress. I had the sirloin (£28) which was honestly excellent. The "market fish" option changes daily - apparently the trout was very good.
Only one quibble - we all felt the portions could have been more generous, and we went to the restaurant next door afterwards to "finish off" - however we each have large appetites, so this won't be a problem for some.
The bill came to £90+ for three (one course each). Not cheap, but definitely not bad, considering this was the best steak I've had in a while.10/01/2013 16:00:00Great Place!!Our family was visiting London from the US over the holidays and we made reservations for the Grazing Goat on Boxing Day. The service and food was great, the ambience really nice and comfortable and it was the best value for our dining experience during our entire stay (10 days)--I highly recommend!!25/12/2012 16:00:00Excellent food in a cozy ambienceThe food is amazing! Equivalent to that of Michelin star restaurants but in a cozy wooden gastropub ambience. Highly recommended to foodies. I can also see it as fit for a date for a romantic dinner as it's cozy and not noisy with nice music in the background making it easy to talk to each other. For same reason maybe also fit for family dinners on a special occasion!23/12/2012 16:00:00wonderfulWe had a great experience at the grazing goat. It has a lovely atmosphere, the decor is interesting, warm and welcoming - candles and tasteful Xmas lights. Food and wine were very good, no complaints. We had a charming waitress who responded cheerfully to our every need.21/12/2012 16:00:00Gorgeous food an wonderful serviceHad a lovely meal there recently. Very friendly service but not in your face.
Great menu making British food top of the bill. The mackerel starter was divine and the lamb rump main was gorgeous and a generous portion!
Couldn't resist the cheesecake to finish although it beat me in the end!
Seriously can't fault the place! Ideal for a special occasion!
Will be sure to return!!21/12/2012 16:00:00Grhhhhreat Grhhhhhazing GoatThought I knew most of the places to eat with great service, food and ambiance near Marylebone but dare I admit whilst watching an episode of MiC I discovered The Grazing Goat. What a find.28/11/2012 00:00:00Delicious food and excellentDelicious food and excellent service at the Grazing Goat. My only complaint is that it is a tad pricey, but I would probably still return once in a while for the overall experience.18/10/2012 16:00:00Amazing Fish n ChipsOne of these days I WILL try something else on the menu but once again, I enjoyed the beer battered FnC - simply delicious!14/09/2012 00:00:00The Grazing GoatBeginning to lose count on the amount of times I have taken new and old guests to The Grazing Goat - obviously just really like it !10/07/2012 00:00:00Food was impeccable as usualFood was impeccable as usual at the Grazing Goat! I would highly recommend the steak tartare and scallops. I do think it is a little on the expensive side but nice for a treat! the staff are always so helpful and lovely. Would recomend to anyone.05/07/2012 00:00:00Great Food In A Lovely Setting!Second time I have been here and another fab meal. Nice atmosphere...really good service and some lovely food.15/06/2012 00:00:00The first floor dining roomThe first floor dining room is relaxed, well-lit and comfortable decorated, with good beer and unfussy service. The meals are well-thought out and there is something on the menu to please almost anyone.
A good wine list as well.25/04/2012 00:00:00Grazing Goat, London
We hadGrazing Goat, London
We had spicy Bloody Marys and the roast Sunday lunch - all of which were delicious. The beef got an extra round of applause for being very tender, although a purist would call it beef fillet rather than traditional roast beef. The staff did a nice job of keeping the atmosphere relaxed and friendly while staying on top of a busy lunchtime. Only complaint is it's rather expensive - but that's Marylebone for you.24/03/2012 17:00:00The Grazing Goat - The foodThe Grazing Goat - The food is superb with generous portions. The staff are very attentive and happy to chat to you. Service was quick too.26/01/2012 16:00:00
