However, the set-up is better at the FWR. Staff are very friendly and helpful. The whole concept is a good one and the wine tasting adds a fun element to the evening, Be careful though as you can quickly run out of credit with your wine card. It's a bit like a Pick'n'Mix for grown-ups. Have to say the food was exceptional - best fillet steak I've had in a long time. Good choice from regularly updated menu. wine advice from waitress was outstanding - a 'very different' but delicious Sauvignon Blanc and a wondrous Rioja. The food was very well cooked and served and delicious whether the Cote de Boeuf for 2 which they managed to produce between rare and medium rare as requested to the fish dish of the day which (apparently) was delicious. Rounded off with delicious deserts, coffee and silky smooth desert wines. A very good evening we will hope to repeat.02/03/2013 00:00:00Already booking a return visitI have always wanted to give the Fulham Wine Rooms a visit having passed it by on many occassion and I was very pleased I finally got around to booking a table. The ambience was fantastic and the range of wines (as one would expect) was equally fantastic. I had the sea bream for a main and it was outstanding.
At first I thought we were going to be rushed through as our dinner arrived so very quickly after ordering and our glasses of champagne came with our bottle of wine however this was a misleading impression as we were able to enjoy an unrushed dinner and take our time through the bottle of wine, ordering desserts and coffee...

We had dinner at the restaurant before embarking on the wine tasting experience. We were a group of six and unlike other restaurants, we never felt rushed to free up the table. The food was great and reasonably priced considering the standard. The service was superb and they were very kowledgeable about the food and wines on offer. After dinner, we transferred to the bar to begin the wine tasting experience. This was a unique concept and one I recommend everyone should try. Again, the staff were on hand to assist and offer recommendations for the wines on offer. We had a great time, food was delicious and wine selection will surprise even most fussy wine drinkers. Everything was topped up with a great and friendly service.
