A word from The Fulham Wine Rooms
Restaurant - Wine Bar - Wine Shop

We love wine, and all that"s enjoyable around wine: good food, good friends, good conversation.

Head Chef Lorenzo Pintor designs menus to complement our extensive selection of wines, using quality ingredients from suppliers such as Brindisa or Neal's Yard, fresh, well sourced, and simply cooked. We suggest wine matches for all menu items.

Our wine list covers some 200 different bins, sourced to give you a snapshot of what we like from around the world. At any one time you can sample 48 of those by the glass, armed with a pre-paid wine card, with or without help from our wine specialists. We also stock a selection of sparkling and sweet wines, beers and spirits, and our wines are all available at take-out prices for home consumption.

Diner Reviews
  • "We went for the first time in last month, mainly for the selection of wines by the glass. The selection of wines was very good, as expected, and the food was excellent too. The grilled calamari appetizer was very tender and the jamon selection was very good. The côte de boeuf main was excellent and cooked to order. Service was wonderful with advice on wine and food. Overall, it was a great night and we'll go back."

  • "We ordered calamari & "blood orange, walnut& goats cheese salad" as starters. The calamari was tasty, but the so called goat's cheese salad was shockingly poor - simply a huge heap of cabbage dotted with two minuscule slices of orange, one (one!) walnut & a tiny piece of goat's cheese (hardly visible to the naked eye). the waitress was notified but nothing was done to correct the situation. Our cote de boeuf main was cooked well, but it was served with chips rather than new potatoes(their menu description). this is the most expensive main on the menu, but no explanation was offered why they were not serving it with the side described on the menu! Nice ambiance, good wine selection but the food is clearly hit & miss and the staff don't care."

  • "Booked birthday dinner for my better half. As always with the Fulham wine rooms we received excellent service. I'd notice slight tweaks to the food menu which were superb. would highly recommend to anyone in the area"

  • "Excellent warm and friendly service. As you would expect a comprehensive wine list a tapas style 'sharing plates' were very popular, especially the Neale's Yard cheeses which complimented the wine well. Great evening."

  • "The food choices on the menu were nice although simple. What made it special however was the wine options they provided. I never would have chosen, for example, to drink a rose with calamari if it had not been suggested. In this sense the Fulham wine rooms was special and it certainly stimulated conversation around the table."

  • "Very romantic and cosy restaurant. Had a great dinner with my friends, very good service and delicious meals. The only downside was a small selection on the menu and the prices. Apart from that it was a very good experience, would definitely recommend."

  • "Food was excellent. The starters were very good with the assorted hams and bread with olive oil shining. our party of six picked fish and meat from the menu. the bream and tuna were cooked to perfection. 4 of us went for t bone steaks (to be shared) and they were tasty but not particularly tender. The ambiance was welcoming with all wine bottles of the world displayed on the walls. A great dining experience. Wholly recommend."

  • "Excellent venue, very attentive staff with a good choice of food at very sensible prices. Myself and a friend dined at the restaurant following a Fulham game and enjoyed the experience which included wine tasting using the very quirky but fun wine dispensing wall...........food was prompt and excellent quality."

  • "The kitchen here only opens at 4! luckily they made an exception in our case (booked 2:45 online). TOPTABLE mucked up - nothing about this on their site. The cooked food -delicious & hard to fault. The tapas though - generic - Brindisa distribution? Cambio de Tercio's croquetas much better. My Spanish friend was left underwhelmed by the hams, though in their defense, he's very difficult to please and he agreed that this is more down to the UK's humidity than anything else. Brilliant wine. Gavi d Gavi to start then an expensive Rioja - which was corked. As was the next bottle. Our waiter was fantastic, replacing both bottles immediately with another decent Spanish red that went down a storm. Impressed overall. Will certainly go back!"

  • "Extremely helpful and attentive staff, great (and interesting) food and a lovely variety of wine choices make an evening at the Fulham Wine Rooms a real treat. Have only ever been twice, both in the last month and already looking forward to returning. The Enomatic Wine Dispenser makes it possible to try many great wines by the glass. Recommend for a casual catch up with a friend or as a midweek date location!"

  • "We had a delicious dinner..the lamb was particularly good. The service was very good with the waitress even remembering to say that our pudding order would take some time as it was cooked to demand! My only criticism is that it was a little noisy with some large groups at the back of the restaurant coupled with a wooden floor etc. So I wouldn't take my elderly parents there but the ambience was excellent and we thoroughly enjoyed our evening."

  • "Had dinner with a friend and it had a lovely ambience...especially when trying to escape Chelsea football fans! Service can be a bit hit or miss. Food, although good...isn't worth the near-£20 price-tag for mains. Probably better for a wine-tasting and nibbles if you don't mind splashing a bit on good wine. (Funny that...given it's a wine bar!)"

  • "FWR's is one of my favourite places to eat and drink in Fulham. The staff are always polite, professional and knowledgeable. Food is amazing and reasonably priced. I probably would struggle to find anything negative to say about this place...."

  • "Really good food, and offers omething a bit different with the quirky way it sells wine. Will visit again."
    dined on 30/10/2013
  • "FWR would be terrific if they took out three or four tables, letting people breathe and not have to listen to neighbours' conversations. The food - rack of lamb and salmon - was very good and the choice of wine great. Our glasses of Amarone were punk (no arguments), and they didn't have another bottle (??), but the Ribera del Duero substitute was really fine."

  • "Lovely place with a varied and interesting menu. Really buzzy. Food is great but some dishes such as the meat selection were badly overpriced."

  • "Nice good, large portions and a decent bottle of wine. All for a reasonable price."

  • "If you love to try new wines, this is the place to be. Knowledgeable staff combined with a wall of wine by the glass. I loved it! Great concept! I can't wait to go back."

  • "Really lovely and patient staff who provided excellent service. Fantastic ambiance which set the stage for a wonderful night out with new friends. Will continue to recommend the venue to friends and family. Many thanks ... once again!"

  • "The Fulham Wine Rooms offers a busy and friendly wine bar ambiance. Very much a wine bar with restaurant attached rather than formal restaurant in feel. The menu is short and to the point confirming again that you get what it says on the bottle - an emphasis on wine not food. But that said some of the dishes are excellent so while not for foodies you need not feel let down by the food offer. The staff are very pleased and able to provided good wine selection advice.... but a bit slow to notice that you might like a coffee or the bill. All together if you accept its limitations an exceptionally good place to spend an evening eating and drinking with friends."

  • "Great place for an intimate dinner, a business event or some fun times with friends. great wines that you can taste and change according to the meal and you can also organise wine tasting. food as well is very good and particular. a bit on the expensive side, but every now and again, it is worth it!"

  • "Beautiful food, and a wonderful atmosphere - this is a great place to relax with good company. The wine list is extensive and excellent. Highly recommended."

  • "My girlfriend and I came for lunch on Sunday and were nothing but impressed by the Fulham Wine Rooms. It is a beautiful looking restaurant which is both full of light and cosy, the old posters and contemporary prints make a good aesthetic. We are both vegetarian and advocates of natural wine and were pleased to see a great selection of both, especially on the tapas menu. The staff were attentive and polite, with a knowledge of wine that was informative and not intimidating. We were taken through the lunch menu and had the dishes explained in a clear and understandable way. It was a wonderful afternoon, we were made to feel welcome and look forward to our next visit."

  • "Having dined here on several occasions my wife and I have come to the conclusion that it's simply not worth the cost. Although they do have a fairly good selection of over-priced wine their food, quite simply, is not up to par. My wife ordered a medium-rare fillet that was served well done, and my chicken dish--although it tasted okay--was a bit odd as it was merely a grilled chicken breast atop a Greek salad. In the end, this is a great place a glass of wine and some starters but, in my opinion, they have work to do in order to become a proper restaurant."

  • "We loved the wine rooms, good food but be prepared to pay over the odds for wine."

  • "We always go past the Fulham Wine Rooms and we say we should go there one day. As we had visitors we decided to go. The wine selection is fabulous and delicious, the service was great and the food was delicious. We ordered different types of steaks and they all just melted in your mouth. Just delicious. It was such a pleasant surprise as we were going there just to have a nice wine with some food - but the food exceeded expectations. The deserts were also great."
    dined on 24/07/2013
  • "A lovely evening.Windows and doors open out onto busy Fulham Road, but atmosphere was still quite good. The food was actually better than the wine. However the service was so slow at times that they volunteered our dessert (which was delicious) for free."
    dined on 23/07/2013
  • "Fantastic food and a great evening all round. We booked this Fulham Wine Rooms for a group of six to celebrate a birthday. We started the evening with tasting some delicious wines then went to our table to have a delightful three course meal. The squid starter was delicious, perfectly cooked and great flavours, everyone really enjoyed their meals and we will be back very soon."

  • "It is a great place to have a nice (expensive) bottle of wine and some small snacks! The service was good too. I would definitely go back and would recommend it to a friend. Classy but not uncomfortable place!"
    dined on 10/04/2013
  • "Excellent wines, knowledgeable and courteous staff ready to advise and recommend including some outside the box experience that is enriching in wine choices. Lively, friendly and intimate atmosphere conducive to a relaxing and conversational evening."
    dined on 01/05/2013
  • "We all really enjoyed the wine concept. Was great and fun to taste a few different wines before selecting a glass for the meal. The wine tastings only could make for a good evening. Service was excellent and the food delicious. The little platters are very suitable for sharing."

  • "great place to go, can be informal if you are at the bar less formal n the main resturant"

  • "Having visited the Kensington Wine Rooms I knew what this was all about. However, the set-up is better at the FWR. Staff are very friendly and helpful. The whole concept is a good one and the wine tasting adds a fun element to the evening, Be careful though as you can quickly run out of credit with your wine card. It's a bit like a Pick'n'Mix for grown-ups. Have to say the food was exceptional - best fillet steak I've had in a long time. Go visit!"
    dined on 16/03/2013
  • "Parsons Green is not the back of beyond but the Fulham Wine Rooms do require some thought if you are not local. Allow lots of time if you are on public transport. The wet Sunday evening it took us about an hour from Piccadilly when we took the bus and then got diverted becasue of a football match. After all that, it was a relief to find the atmospheric restaurant. Service was friendly but not obsequious. The wine shone - we had an Italian - Bellotti Bianco Cortese, Cascina degli Ulivi, Piedmont 2011 and it had a spiciness which complemented by seafood and my companion's beef. It was unusual and we had a taste before commiting to a bottle. Next visit tapas and wine."
    dined on 17/03/2013
  • "my third visit and Fulham wine rooms lived up to expectations. Atmosphere convivially buzzy. service very polite and attentive without being intusive. Good choice from regularly updated menu. wine advice from waitress was outstanding - a 'very different' but delicious Sauvignon Blanc and a wondrous Rioja. The food was very well cooked and served and delicious whether the Cote de Boeuf for 2 which they managed to produce between rare and medium rare as requested to the fish dish of the day which (apparently) was delicious. Rounded off with delicious deserts, coffee and silky smooth desert wines. A very good evening we will hope to repeat."

  • "We had a very good first visit to the restaurant having visited the wine bar for tapas before. The service and the food were good and there was a nice atmosphere. I did think the wine selection was on the pricey side and maybe they could carry a few more "house wines" We will visit again."

  • "Good food, would be better for dining in small groups (we were a big group). Great wine choice though"
