The Brown CowVibrant atmosphere, good foodNice lively pub with some good food options. Food not overly special but nice and well prepared. Would recommend.11/04/2013 00:00:00Good for a weekday night outAn early week night evening meal was a delight at this pub/restaurant. The service was friendly and the room was not crowded with good ambience. The menu had good depth for a pub meal offering that little bit extra. Felt more relaxed than on the weekend when service and space can be less desirable.08/04/2013 00:00:00Lively - very good serviceThis location in Fulham has had many incarnations - back in the day Tall Orders was a success, we had Cafe Flo, and others. Mansons until the chef changed was probably the best. Now the Brown Cow.This has proved to be a real success - not a surprise as from the same stable as the Sands End. It is a restaurent/pub rather than pub/restaurent. You can drop in for a drink and join the mostly young professional good looking people at the bar or opt for dinner. We came as a group of 6 on a busy evening - the manager happily extended our table to 8. Service was prompt and friendly and the food was very good. I was with some Belgians who are "foodies" and they rated it. This is a really welcome addition - if I was 20-30 I would be in every night!21/03/2013 00:00:00Good food, service and atmosphereWe regularly visit The Brown Cow's sister pub The Sands End so wanted to try it out. The food, service, wine list and atmosphere was just as good as The Sands End but it is pricey for a pub. We had a few bottles of wine between six of us, mains and a couple of desserts and it was around 42 pounds per person. Not a cheap pub meal but if you want something a bit more spesh then you do have to expect to pay for it.
Great to go for dinner or just a few post work drinks but would definitely recommend booking as it gets very busy.08/03/2013 00:00:00The Brown Cow restaurant looksThe Brown Cow restaurant looks and feels like its predessessor Manson however it has a more laid back and casual atmosphere owing to its bar/cafe area. I think it is a great weekend spot, the food is simple and good, the staff are very pleasant and attentive but in short supply. A good local place to go.17/02/2013 00:00:00Fit for a royal! As soon as we got there, it was clear to see the place was packed out...it was a Friday night!! The waiters and waitresses were very apologetic when we couldn't be seated at our allotted time, but as mentioned, it was a Friday night and there just happened a super VIP in house in the form of Prince Harry!
Once seated, the service was very quick which our stomachs appreciated. To start we had pâté with crisp bread and salmon respectively. All I can say is...YUM! Our mains consisted of a wild mushroom and parmasan risotto and mussels with triple cooked chips! Again both were excellent! There was no room for dessert unfortunately, looking at what was to offer, we definitely would have had it if not so full from the previous courses :)24/01/2013 16:00:00Good local restaurantBrown Cow looks and feels like its predessessors but it is non the worse for that. It was busy and noisy. Food was good and the service was attentive although haphazard. A goo local restaurant/bar.14/12/2012 00:00:00Very good, againThis is the second time I've been to The Brown Cow and I wasn't disappointed. I brought my mum and aunt who were visiting London and they were thoroughly impressed not only with the food but also by the general feel of the place.
I will definitely be back for more.25/11/2012 00:00:00Nice new place in FulhamThis is much more casual than Manson that was there before. The nice booths are still there but they made the rest of the room cosier. The lunch menu offers nice gastro pub options, though the selection is fairly limited. A great addition to Fulham's restaurants, probably nicer for dinner and drinks.11/10/2012 00:00:00Great localI've been to The Brown Cow a couple of times now and it's great to have such a good gastropub just around the corner.
The food is excellent and very reasonably priced; the service very friendly, efficient and attentive.
Just beware that this is a child and dog friendly restaurant.06/10/2012 00:00:00great neighbourhood placeAlways brilliant food, nice atmosphere, friendly service18/05/2012 00:00:00
