The BotanistAn excellent choice for aAn excellent choice for a relaxed birthday luncheon for visitors from the country. Great location for shopping. Good variety of interesting and well prepared food. Worth the money. £17.50 wine was excellent.09/05/2013 00:00:00Enjoyable food & Good AtmosphereThe Botanist has a vibrant atmosphere on a Saturday evening. Menu was varied and food cooked well, with both my burger and my Wife's fish were tasty. Service was good with staff engaging and very friendly. A great place for cocktails and a drink before a meal as well. Cocktails made with precision and care. Very happy with this everything here and would certainly come back again to sample the other dishes on the menu.04/05/2013 00:00:00Dinner with ChildrenWhen I take my children out for dinner rather than just food I want to be able to enjoy the experience myself. My girls (14&9) want to be able to dress up yet it has to be early for my son (7) I have taken them to the Botanist now 3 times for early evening dinner. The food is very enjoyable and has always been perfectly served and even though its always early when we are there the atmosphere is great...
Its also a regular haunt for my husband and I for after shopping drinks and dinner. It is always very busy and the cocktail guys are fantastic!!!
Perfect all round venue in my book....04/05/2013 00:00:00A great venue to meet friendsThe bar was packed, but thankfully the restaurant behind sliding glass doors is much more relaxed. The service was very efficient and friendly. Not having ordered starters we were expecting a long wait for our main courses but were pleasantly surprised at how quickly it arrived. The food was delicious and there was a lot of choice on the menu with varying levels of pricing so something for every pocket. Had a really enjoyable and relaxing evening. The only small negative thing I would say is that some of the tables were a little too close to each other. But don't let that put you off.13/04/2013 00:00:00The service from the beginningThe service from the beginning was very good, friendly and efficient. The drinks were lovely Prosecco was lovely and light and refreshing, I had the lobster and chips it was cooked perfectly and to finish a creme brulee with millionaire shortbread which was really good. The decor and ambience were just right, overall a really good experience.31/03/2013 00:00:00pleasant eveningI was entertaining a guest from Paris and we both were quite impressed.30/03/2013 00:00:00Sunday BrunchWe had a brunch with friends and familly and it was just what we were looking for, a nice place, with pleasant staff and good and various food choice.
I definitively will recommand it.
Sani24/03/2013 00:00:00The best knickerbocker gloryThe best knickerbocker glory ever! Food was delicious and service friendly and they offered tap water without being asked - not trying to push expensive drinks01/03/2013 00:00:00Always vibrantI always enjoy going to The Botanist, food, service and atmosphere consistently great.25/02/2013 00:00:00Bon soir at the botanistLovely food, good service. Fridenly, relaxed atmosphere. One comment - my sister is pregnant, and there was very little on the pre-theatre menu that she was allowed to eat (she's not allowed any raw or runny eggs, so no Hollandaise, also no rare meat, no shell fish or smoked salmon or cured meats - things like that, which seem to feature quite heavily in the pre-theatre menu). We both enjoyed the food very much though- delicious.22/02/2013 00:00:00Pleasant atmosphere and good foodI had a very good and nice business lunch, with good service and food.21/02/2013 00:00:00Great Food Great ServiceGreat Cocktails, Excellent Chateaubriand, service was attentive great fresh warm bread.
Well Priced Great Location.14/02/2013 00:00:00The BotanistThis is a lively restaurant with an upmarket clientele. Good food: fresh and in season. A nice selection of wines by the glass. Good ambience in a contemporary setting,11/02/2013 00:00:00The BotanistThe service was excellent; We asked to share a smoked salmon starter and they divided it and presented it very nicely on two plates. The fish was beautifully cooked and when I asked them to remove the bacon, they replaced the bacon with potatoes which was a nice touch. I would go back there again. This is not a special occasion restaurant but it is great for a relaxed dinner.11/02/2013 00:00:00Best choice for SouthbankWe needed an early supper before attending a concert at the Queen Elizabeth Hall, and as always the Archduke was our first choice for easy booking and efficient service. We weren't able to book for exactly the time we would have preferred, as it was a Friday and we only tried that morning, but the best available time was still entirely satisfactory. Moral - book early for the weekend!07/02/2013 00:00:00Perfect saturday lunchLovely lunch with my family on saturday lunchtime. Great value for money as the food is fantastically presented and takes wonderful. Great location in Sloane Square and easily accessible from Knightsbridge, Fulham and Victoria. I have been to this restaurant many times and each time is as good as the last.02/02/2013 00:00:00Pre-concert mealThe restaurant is less than 100 metres from the Cadogan Hall. The pre-concert menu offers a good choice of options for £20 for 2 courses. Excellent ambience and food. Perfect for visiting prior to a concert at the Cadogan Hall.24/01/2013 16:00:00Lovely waitress, really lookedLovely waitress, really looked after us, made a lovely fuss of our mum who's birthday it was! Was really noisy environment though - difficult to hear.18/01/2013 16:00:00Good, quick, cheap - pick any twoWe needed somewhere to eat before heading to the Cadogan Hall, where we coiuld all easily meet - it is less than 100 yards away, and very near the tube, so fitted those criteria. Service was very good, the food was too, and though not the cheapest meal around, it was good and quick, so ... yes, would visit again, and happily send friends here too.16/01/2013 16:00:00Great NightHad a lovely meal to celebrate our friends wedding. Made all the more enjoyable by a waitress named Irene who was absolutely brilliant!11/01/2013 16:00:00Buzz in LondonA great buzzing atmosphere, good wine list and excellent cocktails!
Very enjoyable meal.
Great for people watching xx11/01/2013 16:00:00Excellent lunchesThe Botanist is a very reliable place to eat in Sloane Square, as the service is good - without being excessive - and the food is of good quality which is well-matched by the price. I have been several tiems for lunch and will definitely return.01/01/2013 16:00:00Great food, good service.Great food, good service. Only criticism is that the tables are too close together which detracts slightly from the otherwise enjoyable experience.29/12/2012 16:00:00Nice buzzVery enjoyable long boozy lunch last Tuesday. Good menu, great service and good atmosphere without being too much. pretty good value for Sloane square too! if I had one criticism it was that the food was lukewarm when served. Would definitely recommend.17/12/2012 16:00:00The evening at The BotanistThe evening at The Botanist was excellent.
We were served efficiently and politely throughout
our meal. The food was first class. We would definitely
recommend this restaurant.15/12/2012 16:00:00great pre-theatrewas on way to Cadogan Hall just round corner. Excellent buzzing venue, bar gets very busy . restaurant quality and value great, including the fixed pre-theatre menu. staff very attentive and friendly.29/11/2012 16:00:00Buzzing atmosphereGem of a place with good brasserie classics, helpful staff26/11/2012 16:00:00Schnitzel heaven! The Botanist is perfectly located for a pre-theatre meal if you're seeing a show at the Royal Court or the Cadogan Hall. The prix fixe menu is decent value at £21 for two courses, but make sure you're sitting down by 6.30pm, otherwise you'll have to choose from the pricier a la carte menu. Don't be put off by the frenetic bar (full of young Russian women making friends with Middle Eastern businessman) and head straight for the dining room, which is an oasis of calm and refinement. The food's great. The celeraic soup with truffle oil was as deep and comforting as it sounds, and the schnitzels.. well, let's just say there are many worse schnitzels to be had in Vienna, although the beurre noisette on the side was a bridge too far for me.08/11/2012 16:00:00Busy, buzzy and flavourfulThe Botanist is situated at Number 7 Sloane Square. I arrived late and with only 50 minutes to spare before due at the theatre. Service was good and food was deliscious - nevertheless there was no time for dessert. However, after the show we returned seeking a table for the uneaten dessert. Even though the restaurant was busy and the bar buzzing with people, this request was promptly accommodated. The best Tarte Tatin ever followed. Can't recommend this dish for two, highly enough. Try it for yourself - it's yummy.27/09/2012 16:00:00Lovely ambience with all theLovely ambience with all the white leather.
The lemon sole was spectacular.
Lovely lunch.23/08/2012 00:00:00Lovely afternoon teaWe visited The Botanist for afternoon tea on a Sunday, and it was a great selection of cakes and sandwiches - we tried very hard but didn't quite have room to eat everything... The scones and the fruit tarts were a particular favourite, and the service was very friendly and made the whole experience better. I would definitely go for afternoon tea again, but am now very keen to go back again for lunch or dinner.08/07/2012 00:00:00BotanistWent for a meal after visinting the Sattchi Gallery, thought it might be quiet with time 9.00 and being a Monday, not full but very buzzy and lively. Food was good, service excellent.28/05/2012 00:00:00sloan squarethe botantist is great for cadogan hall, great for victoria, excellent food, wine and service,23/05/2012 00:00:00We had a very nice time atWe had a very nice time at The Botanist. The service was excellent, with good food and the location is superb. Only drawback is that in my opinion it's far too expensive - my salmon fishcake was £15, and a herb salad to accompany it was £4, which was just a very small bowl of leaves and dressing. The bill soon becomes very expensive here, be warned!03/03/2012 00:00:00
