The surf and turf is a perfect combination of age matured steak and a choice of scallops to prawns.
One of few venues that stock Spy Valley Sauvignon Blanc - a perfect addition to the meal and surroundings.

He chose mussells in white wine sauce & I had soup with salmon, pesto & parmesan. Both were excellent. We both chose rock cod with prawns & thermidor sauce served on bed of mash - again an excellent choice. As we were driving we both had soft drinks which we felt were a bit hefty at £2.60 each.
Waiting staff are lovely, professional & friendly as is Steve, the owner. Ambience is lovely too. However as said in previous feedback, we feel the price of drinks - alcoholic & non-alcoholic - are a bit overpriced.This is what stops us giving an overall 5 stars.13/02/2013 00:00:00Consistently good foodThere were four of us on Saturday and the food was excellent as always. Alison takes time to greet all guests as they come in and that is a nice personal touch
The service was nice not too hurried and Steph was very attentive but not intrusive also very helpful with choosing the wine
As always Steve and the kitchen staff producing top notch food about time he got a Michelin star ! but he is our star anyway

Then you'll love this!Our most recent outing was taking Mum there for her birthday to sample the very reasonably priced 2 or 3 course luncheon menu. The staff were welcoming, very pleasant and attentive as well as being efficient. We really enjoyed the ambiance and the music wasn't too loud as is often the case in some other restaurants. The seats were comfortable and the decor was stylish and pleasing. The menu had a good selection of dishes for fish lovers and catered for vegetarians and meat eaters too but to a lesser degree. They happily provided a starter as a main course too. The food was beautifully presented, was full of flavour and cooked to absolute perfection so we thoroughly enjoyed every mouthful. Attentive, helpful waitresses :) The food was stunning - I couldn't fault it and really nice presentation - compliments to the chef(s)! Easy to book online. The only flaw was it was a little expensive. I really wanted to try the lobster but it was too much to pay for one dish. And we both had a pasta seafood dish that was stunning but I wouldn't normally pay £20 for a pasta dish. We live around 35 miles from Dundee and I some time looking on the internet for a restaurant that had good reviews. The Blue Marlin didn't disappoint and I have recommend it to friends and will most likely return for a non occassion meal.
