The Black Pig Pub and Dining RoomGreat Quality IngredientsAs always, top quality meat and vegetables, impeccably sourced. Imaginative and well-judged cooking too. My roast belly pork was super (well-cooked and lovely flavour - definitely free-range) and Brixham crab with pickled vegetables to start: lovely and fresh. Great service and nice surroundings plus good wine list. And good value, too.

Only minor criticisms: the crackling could have crackled more (too soft) and there were (very) small bits of shell in the crab dish (hadn't worked carefully through the meat by hand as they should after cracking the shell). But only minor quibbles. Food was excellent and the chef was happy to accommodate two of our party who had allergies/special dietary requirements (also at short notice). It was busy but the service was still good and the food well cooked. The wine list is extensive with lots of choice on food. Ideal for groups with a nice ambiance.
