Diner Reviews
  • "The welcome was great. The service, both in the bar and in the restaurant was excellent. Our waiter knew the menu inside out, and was very helpful in making suggestions. The food was excellent! It was a pricey meal, but well worth the experience."

  • "Went for a birthday treat with my family. The view was spectacular. The food and service, however, was disappointing. Enjoyed the novelty of some of the starters, but I would eat at Nobu anytime over Sushi Samba as the food there is consistently excellent. Sushi Samba is really hit and miss. The prices are high but the food is not up to scratch, especially the hot food, which was very average. The service, though friendly, was slow at the best of time and at the end, we had to leave the last course as we had been dining for well over 2 hours. The whole experience was underwhelming."

  • "We love taking guests to SushiSamba for their first time as it completely blows them away. The view and venue are stunning, matched by the unbelievable service. The Peruvian twist on traditional Japanese cuisine offers some unique flavours and textures while the sushi remains some of the finest in London. If it wasn't so expensive we'd be regulars, but I guess if you want a 5 star meal, your pay for it. ALWAYS worth it though. "

  • "I decided to come to SUSHISAMBA for my birthday meal. Absolutely loved the whole atmosphere, vibe and decor! The tiger maki was amazing and very well-presented! Full of flavour, I highly recommend it to all sushi lovers! Gorgeous restaurant, slightly on the pricier side but worth it! The waiters are also lovely and very attentive! AMAZING RESTAURANT!"

  • "I had high expectations from this place before going and was not disappointed. From the service through to the food I was pleased. We went for lunch during the week and was expecting it to be busy but fortunately it wasn't so being able to relax at the bar to take in the view before dining was a bonus. The waiters were helpful with what to choose but I think whatever we would have eaten it would have been good. Overall a very pleasant experience and will visit again."

  • "The outstanding views of London, are matched by the experience that awaits at Sushisamba. From the moment you step out of the lift and walk the corridor to the restaurant, where your vista and anticipation widens. A per dinner drink to wet the appetite , before you are effortlessly guided to your table. We let our experienced and very friendly waiter choose a small plates menu for us and over the next couple of hours we were treated to a wide range of taste experience, all extremly well presented and absolutely delicious. Timing was great and the waiting staff attentitive, prompt friendly, but not imposing. Very highly recommended "

  • "Wonderful evening treating my Mum and younger brother to a meal out. Food was superb, cocktails great, ambience amazing, service attentive but not pushy. "

  • "After all the hype we looked forward to trying out sushi samba and got there an hour early for our 6.30 reservation, just in time for a cocktail. The cocktail preparation itself was messy, splashes went on the bar, he did not realise I got drops on my shirt. Well he didn't even realise we were stood at the empty bar ready to order until his colleague pointed it out. Nevertheless paid the 12.5% service charge, drinks were delicious. Well at £30 for 2 cocktails shouldn't they be? Food service we had 2 male french staff switching, looking elsewhere when taking orders and odd comment in French. I told him, so far I don't intend on paying the service charge. Well, after that the service picked up. Food bill £105 for 2 lightly hungry people. "

  • "I HAD A GREAT TIME. GOOD FOOD, AWESOME ATMOSPHERE AND GREAT SERVICE!"

  • "Our first impression of this restaurant wasn't great as we had to wait 10minutes behind someone that didn't have reservation. It wasn't until I raised my hands to one of the two ladies at reception we were even spoken to and then, we were told we had to wait for our table while the couple behind us were taken to their seat straight away (no explanation!). Once at the table, staff fuss around you a little but still service isn't quite up to scratch for a restaurant of its level. Most of the food tasted good although we had some fish that was past its best and smelly. The dinner table itself was very small and the eight dishes we ordered as the number recommended by the waiter for two people was just too much for two people. "

  • "Really great food, great specials. Not cheap but comes with an amazing view. Service was outstanding, attentive, great recommendations and very friendly. Great place to take someone you are trying to impress. Head up for a drinking if nothing else to catch the view. Summer drinks on patio! "

  • "I had a great time here - everything was just perfect. Definitely go back and definitely recommend (if you can get a table)! "

  • "I had my birthday lunch there and I was really impressed with the ambience, service and most importantly with the food. I am not a huge fan of Japanese food but love Brazilian so was interested of the fusion of the two. The meals were simply amazing, all of them. Plus great cocktails. Of course, a bit pricey but given the location, view and the quality of the food I can justify it. Attentive and nice waiters as well. I would go back anytime."

  • "Went for a girlie catchup on a Friday night. The bar area was crowded and buzzing, but they were still able to serve me very quickly and courteously. Went over for dinner and suddenly the loud noise disappeared and we were greeted with stunning views of the city from the table we were given. The staff were friendly, helpful and spent time going over the menu with us, recommending certain dishes after asking us what type of things we normally prefer. The suggestions were excellent. Right from the first bite the flavours were amazing! Every single item we ordered was brilliant. We weren't rushed to leave the table, the staff always on hand to answer questions and take extra orders. I'm definitely going back, and taking more people with me!"

  • "Amazing night with friends this weekend. Sunday wasn't too crazy - weather was perfect for a great view, then sunset and then city lights. The food is superb - stunning in presentation and so fresh, light and delicious. We loved everything we ordered. But the best part of the evening was the incredibly attentive staff. Tareq in particular guided us through the daunting menu and made it such a special evening. Andrea was also lovely - everyone there could not have been any nicer. We felt so welcome and cannot wait to return."

  • "On the 34th floor of the Heron in the heart of the City off London. The lift up Heron Tower is just as spectacular as the views at the top, which has some of the best views in London. It was fantastic. Great food, great service and fantastic cocktails. And for that view ….looking forward to going back!"

  • "This place is in my top 5 in London, so I had to come here for my celebratory meal. 4 of us went, got some cocktail on arrival and our table was ready spot on tome 9:30. Service was really fast this time , which i gues was good as we didnt want to be eating too late. Best dishes i recommend are the Rio Grande meat platter and the El Topo rolls... UNBLEIEVEABLE :) I will be returning for sure, recommend to all sushi / fusion / brazilian food lovers"

  • "Best restaurant I have ever been to. And I have been to a LOT of restaurants. The food is incredible, but combined with the view, the ambience... beyond words."

  • "Having read and heard a lot of reviews about SushiSamba, I had built up a fantastic image of what to expect out of my dinner. While the food, service and value where great, the venue itself was a little underwhelming?! The bar lacked any oomph and you could been have been having a drink at any relatively newly opened bar in London, rather than on the 37th floor of the Heron Tower. That said, the serving staff where excellent, only too helpful. The food, yummy and pretty good value....ok, I'm speaking relatively to other similar restaurants in the area (about £60-80/head) Also, worth pointing out, the lift ride to go up/down is awesome! Great views across London and faster than I expected."

  • "Never been to a restaurant and enjoyed the whole experience as much as this eatery. waited almost 3 months to dine at SS. So book early! The lifts/entrance/bar/s enjoyable experience in there own right which adds to the whole visit. service superb attended by polite helpful well presented hands on staff all very well trained and who helped us choose amazing dishes. The food was exceptional, calamari great, lamp chops wow. Dressy and a little heavy on the pocket but nice to go somewhere were the punters dress for the evening and you get what you pay for. High expectations high in the sky but truly high quality through out. 10/10"

  • "The food was great, as was the service and, of course, the view! such a treat - definitely plan to go again !!"

  • "If you suffer from vertigo like me, the lift ride up to the restaurant will get your legs wobbling, but it is worth it. The view is great and to food is fantastic, some amazing versions of japanese food here. The rock shrimp with black truffle is outstanding!"
    dined on 05/04/2014
  • "Long awaited experienced after booking so far in advance. The food was very good and had great vegetarian options. The drinks were imaginative. Overall dining experience was fantastic. Things where the evening left a little sour note: Diners at booking are informed about the table turnaround time, the group found it rude in the way we were badgered to leave especially when we were waiting for drinks and the requested bill. The transfer from the restaurant to bar wasn't particularly handled well and we were left ages waiting for a few drinks. I also found plastic in my cocktail from a wrapper. The drinks were on the house after mentioning how we had been treated however undone what had been a night that was very good."
    dined on 05/04/2014
  • "The food is good, especially the sushi called tiger and sasa, very special and delicious. The beef is good too. However, the service was a little delayed as the servicer forgot some of my orders, a little mass in their service, hope they can improve. The lift to 38th floor was impressive, worth a visiting but a little expensive, suitable for some special occasion."
    dined on 03/04/2014
  • "Cocktails quirky and delicious. Service exceptional - attentive and engaging without being smothering. Waiter recommended most dishes, all of which were wonderful, and the views are stunning. Great for a catch up with the girls, or a romantic date."
    dined on 03/04/2014
  • "We went to celebrate my wife's birthday and really enjoyed ourselves. Yes it's pricey but that's what you pay for such a stunning view. My only criticism would be that the plates arrived in too rapid succession giving little time to recover from dish to dish. Possibly they were trying to turn the tables round well ahead of what I would otherwise assume to be a two hour slot. That said we will definitely return"

  • "I have been once before but this time decided to bring my mum as she was here for a few days. They just blew my mind, was even better than the first time! Had some Taquitos, Gyosas, Samba Roll for starters, they came all separate which was perfect as we enjoyed each and one of them properly! For main course I went for the assorments of tiraditos and it was good, not as GREAT as the starters but I was loving the food too much to fault anything. My mum had the Moqueca and she enjoyed it very much I tried the rice which was delicious. Can't Fault the Food and Service!! Only thing that I noticed was the cables of the lamps were full of dust..But apart from that great place!"
