This worked well for this reunion but I would ask for a table in other situations. It was very quiet at 6pm on a Monday night, so was easy to get a table.
The service was great, the food fantastic. The only thing I would say is maybe have fries as an inclusion with the sandwiches, instead of a separate side.

We went for a very late lunch on Saturday and although the lunch time revellers were dispersing when we arrived, the ambience was not lessened by the reduced numbers. The staff were incredibly friendly and offered excellent recommendations of what to choose from the menu. We had delicious cocktails along with incredibly tasty food. Beautiful table ware-silver and glass. We were after a quiet spot for a good catch up and great meal; Shrimpy's (early Saturday evening) did the job (could use a little more light though). They were very accommodating when I needed to change by booking at short notice, and when we asked not to be seated right beside another group.
Staff were friendly, gave accurate descriptions of the dishes and looked after us.
The food was delicious and filling; look out for the monkfish and quinoa, and the banana and peanut butter sandwich to finish. Outstanding and friendly staff. We were unsure about some things on the menu and the waitress explained them in detail and made recommendations. We had Plaintain Chips and Salt Cod Croquettes to start. Both were delicious and the dips were full of flavour. For our mains we had cheese burger and fried chicken with the chicory slaw and butter bean salad. Again I couldn't fault it, the flavours were delicious. We washed this down with a nice glass of red. We skipped dessert but I really fancied an Expresso Martini, which wasn't on the menu, five mins later I had the best Expresso Martini, I have ever tasted. 10/10 all round and the soundtrack was brill too. Go soon, as apparently it will be closing in 18 months or so.
A South American influenced menu has some really interesting dishes, the service is very friendly and efficient and there is a view of the canal running past the door.

We were allocated seats at the "counter" which is basically the bar but that was fine as it gave us a great view of the kitchen so we could be nosy and see all the food being made and coming out. It had a great flavour but we thought that it definitely benefited from the addition of our side order of slaw, as, without some crunchy veg to accompany it, it could have been a bit stodgy.
