Restaurant Michael Nadra ChiswickVery attentive service. Didn'tVery attentive service. Didn't blink at gluten intolerance and made very considerate substitutions. Excellent food quality. Very nice atmosphere.14/05/2013 00:00:00Great restaurant in ChiswickVery good food. The tasting menu was a treat and the accompanying wine tasting was excellent as well.09/05/2013 00:00:00Excellent mealWe had a superb meal in Michael Nadra Chiswick. The menu is interesting and the food great - I think my meal was the best I have had for a while and I eat out a lot. It has a good, if a bit expensive, wine list and I was happy because it included a Lebanese wine which is one of my favourites. The service is friendly and efficient. Michael Nadra isn't cheap but it is good quality and worth spending a bit extra on.08/05/2013 00:00:00Michael Nadra revisitedBooked for a friend's birthday. It was a bit quiet when we arrived (Monday evening) but soon several other tables filled up. The menu choice was excellent and the food was absolutely delicious - probably the best I've had in a long time. Great to have 3 fish options in the set dinner, lovely touch with the amuse bouche which they tailored because they noticed we were not eating meat. The range of flavours and textures in the starters and mains were fantastic. Service was excellent, observant and timely and never oppresive. My friend loved it and we will definitely go again.06/05/2013 00:00:00Birthday DinnersBooked early dinner for joint birthday celebration - welcome, service and food all excellent with a pleasant relaxed feel to the whole experience. Set menu good value - very hard to fault anything.
Will definitely return.01/05/2013 00:00:00Great Tasting MenuThe tasting menu was fabulous. This was a great way to celebrate our anniversary, and the wait staff was very accommodating. They are even within walking distance of a tube station. Excellent wine list.27/04/2013 00:00:00Michael is a starThis was our third visit.
Food remains innovative beautifully presented and very good value for the high standard.
Staff are attentive and knowledgable13/04/2013 00:00:00First timers!First time we tried this restaurant and there is great competition nearby - Michael Nadra stood up well though. Food excellent with well thought through combinations and seasoning. Will most certainly revisit.
PS I am a tough marker so a '5' IS a '5'!12/04/2013 00:00:00Excellent cuisineWe booked lunch to celebrate a special occasion. There really was no need to book as it turned out to be a quiet time. But our table was ready, in the window and very comfortable. The food was superb - all of it and between us we had quite a selection. There was the right amount of waiter attention and spaces between courses without us sitting there wondering what form of semaphore would be required to indicate our presence. If I had any complaint at all it would be that I found it difficult to understand our waiter at times but he was really lovely, knowledgeable and helpful. I couldn't recommend this restaurant highly enough, especially if you like first class food, well cooked, beautifully served in a clean and comfortable setting.10/04/2013 00:00:00Grannies' LunchWe met at Michael Nadra's on Wednesday for a catch up and enjoyed a very good lunch. The tempura soft shelled crab was excellent as usual and my cassoulet with butter beans and 3 types of pork was an very good starter for a cold day.
Sea bass on basil tagliatelli with king prawns was also delicious. The South African Chenin Blanc was a good accompaniment to the meal.03/04/2013 00:00:00Incredible foodMichelin star cooking without a star and therefore under £30 for starter and main. Le Gavroche was the closest comparison from the point of view of the food. Less ceremony of course but way way cheaper.02/04/2013 00:00:00Chiswick Hidden GemAlthough we live in Barnes SW13, we have been regulars from the opening and last Saturday after wearing out my Harden's Guide, I decided to take my wife and daughter to Michael Nadra for their tasting menu and wine pairing for a treat.
Another enjoyable evening there with excellent food, wine and service, without the fuss that Michelin star restaurants acquire which I find irritaing, as I like good relaced service.
I predict a Michelin star soon, so get in while you can.
Their Sunday lunches are also a treat.30/03/2013 00:00:00highly recommendedI went there for BD dinner. I had great time with them.
I definitely will come back to there again!29/03/2013 00:00:00One of the best restaurantsOne of the best restaurants outside of Central London. Quality options, seasonal food and service.27/03/2013 00:00:00We ate on a weekday afternoonWe ate on a weekday afternoon and the restaurant was quiet, which didn't help the ambiance, but otherwise the restaurant was excellent and the food superb. Service was just right - there when you needed it, unobtrusive otherwise. Both my dishes were beautifully presented and melt in the mouth. I would go back but probably in the evening when there is more of a buzz.22/03/2013 00:00:00top class cookingWe had a superb Sunday lunch here - highly original cooking, beautifully presented. The tempura of crab, the tortellini and the prawn dumplings were all given high marks, as were the sea bass and the stuffed rabbit leg - a well-judged combination of succulent meat and vegetables. Service was impeccable, though I do prefer to be left with the wine bottle so I can refill glasses when I choose. I also found the background music not quite 'background' enough, though the music itself was good, and the level was reduced when I asked. But cooking this good doesn't need the distraction of music. All in all we were very impressed.17/03/2013 00:00:00The food was amazing! I haveThe food was amazing! I have eaten here several times now and I think the food continues to get better and better. The portions are just enough to satisfy and leave enough room for the next course. Service this time was more attentive than my last visit. I brought along guests from out of London and they loved it. Lovely setting and great ambience, not rushed or snooty - considering it's Chiswick! This is one of my favourite fine dining restaurants and will definitely be back!16/03/2013 00:00:00Went on a quiet Monday nightWent on a quiet Monday night with my daughter and was very pleased with everything. Great service greeted us a soon as we arrived and throughout the meal. Our waiter was attentive without being intrusive. Fodd was excellent, oozing with great flavours, especially the foie gras and quail starter. Not cheap, but worth it.11/03/2013 00:00:00Dinner at Michael Nadra, ChiswickAnother fantastic evening at Michael Nadra's restaurant. Thursday evening was very busy and yet the service was as good and efficient as ever. The food was to the same high standard as our previous visit, however we were a little disappointed to see that the menu hadn't changed since our last visit, nor were we told of any specials.
A very enjoyable evening nevertheless.07/03/2013 00:00:00Amazing!!Awesome food...lovely attentive staff. Cant fault them on anything really!
We were so pleased with the restaurant that we have booked it for our small wedding reception later this month!03/03/2013 00:00:00Every course a delightWe were a group of 4 who go to quite a few decent restaurants. No-one had a course they could fault and some rated it amongst their best meals ever. The room itself we were in was nothing special, although we had the alcove table by the road which was nice. Really good and friendly service from all the staff. We'll be back!23/02/2013 00:00:00No idea why they don't have a star!Michael Nadra is, without a doubt, one of the best restaurants in Chiswick. Fantastic food at good prices (especially with the Olive offer) and friendly service make this restaurant oustanding without being pretentious. Equal to, if not better than La Trompette, so I just don't understand why they don't have a michelin star. I'd recommend in a heartbeat!21/02/2013 00:00:00For those who enjoy good eatingExcellent food. Nothing too off-the-wall, just thoughtful combinations, very well prepared. Good wine list, with some excellent wines available by the glass. I chose a Staete Landt Sauvignon Blanc, and was delighted to be told by the waiter we could have it by the glass, as my wife and I weren't up to consuming a bottle.20/02/2013 00:00:00Top SpotConsistently good service, food and atmosphere. Stands out in an area of London with lots of competition.19/02/2013 00:00:00successful valentines dinnerWanted to do something a little special for Valentines Day this year and was certainly not let down by Restaurant Micheal Nadra. Everything about the meal was fantastic, especially the bitter chocolate tart with pistachio ice-cream. The service was attentive without being overbearing and overall felt it was reasonably priced for such a good meal.
Would recommend to anyone as the perfect place for a special occasion.14/02/2013 00:00:00Easily missed gemYou usually hear about restaurants being tucked away in the countryside; not usually that a gem is hidden down a small side street in Chiswick. However, the detour is worth it.
The welcome was immediate but not gushing. Service was prompt rather than rushed, and the waiters actually knew the ingredients of the various dishes, which is rarely the case. The food was tasty; burrata and beetrot salad followed by cod and sea bass. Wonderful flavours and portion size just right so you didn't waddle out of the door. Sadly there was not really a dessert for gluten intolerant customers except for the ubiquitous ice cream, which did taste better than the norm. My wife enjoyed a delicious chocolate fondant.
All in all most enjoyable. We'll be back!13/02/2013 00:00:00Dinner at Michael Nadra, ChiswickWe had a fantastic meal at Michael Nadra's restaurant on Monday evening. Being the start of the week, the restaurant was very quiet which we liked as we didn't need to shout over other diners. The food was excellent; the service friendly, efficient and attentive without being overbearing. We would definitely recommend this restaurant except that it might be nice to keep it as a secret for the chosen few.11/02/2013 00:00:00Great valuehad a great Saturday lunch - very good value. Michelin star level food for Chiswick prices, even more reasonable for lunch. I enjoyed the soft shell crab and seabass; my partner enjoyed the prawn dumplings and sole which were all delicate and beautifully presented09/02/2013 00:00:00will defintely be going back....Good quality food. Reasonably priced. Nice ambiance in a small restaurant. Food was delicious. Will be going back.09/02/2013 00:00:00A little tweaking for perfectionSuperb food, beautifully cooked and presented, good service and a sommelier who knows his stuff. Just a couple of small gripes. We were seated right next to a somewhat noisy group, even though the restaurant was otherwise empty. Another table of five and then another couple arrived, by which time our side of the restaurant was full. When we left two hours later, there were five tables of two still empty on the other side of the restaurant, so we could easily have been accommodated with a little more space and peace. The other gripe was that the food was brought out far too quickly. After a delicious amuse bouche, our starter arrived within minutes and our mains were on the table within half an hour of arrival. Otherwise all was excellent.07/02/2013 00:00:00What a lovely little restaurant. What a lovely little restaurant. Food was fabulous with lots of choice at a very good price, as well as being very tasty and filling. My friend and I decided to share a desert as although we were feeling really full we didn't want to miss out trying them. Although this is a small restaurant the ambience was great and would be a lovely place to go for a romantic meal. Service was great. I can't wait to go back and try something else from the menu.05/02/2013 00:00:00Eating ExcellenceI recently went to Micheal Nadra for my anniversary dinner. The food, the service and ambience were exceptional!! The choice from the menu was incredible and the quality of the food outstanding. Not once did we have to wait for service and the quality of the service provided was second to none. I would highly recommend dining at Micheal Nadra for any special occasion or just for a meal out.05/02/2013 00:00:00Saturday LunchExcellent food, great value at lunch.
Quality service, but seemed to be a bit slow all things considered.
All round, really good and given the evident proffessionalism and high standards I would suspect a good experience could be guarenteed.02/02/2013 00:00:00Tucked Away ExcellenceGreat restaurant, friendly discreet unhurried service, fabulous food, nice relaxed ambience, couldnt fault my experience would definitely recommend29/01/2013 16:00:00super value for moneyAmazing food.
I had a best sea bass which was cooked exceptionally.
Can't wait for my next visit to this restaurant.28/01/2013 16:00:00Really enjoyed the whole evening.Really enjoyed the whole evening. The food and wine was amazing and will be definitely going back again.25/01/2013 16:00:00An outstanding evening in ChiswickAfter nearly two years we visited this restaurant again and everything matched our good memories: Once again, the food and the service were excellent! Our waiter certainly paid attention to detail and was very attentive, the food was very delicious. All in all, we hope we will be dining there soon again!17/01/2013 16:00:00Great tasting menuWe went for dinner (for 2) on Saturday night. It was quite busy and noisy when we arrived, because they had pushed some tables together for a large party. The restaurant did not feel quite spacious enough.
However, the food and the service were both wonderful. We had the tasting menu, which was delicious! We will return!11/01/2013 16:00:00DinnerWoud highly recommend for dinner with friends and for couples. Food and service were great.11/01/2013 16:00:00It was our first visit toIt was our first visit to this restaurant and we loved it!
The interior was very nicely done though quite low key for one that serves food of this quality.
The food was absolutely superb and the service by all the staff was knowedgeable, attentive and friendly.
We will definitely be returning and would recommend this as one of the very best restaurants in West London.
JWP10/01/2013 16:00:00GreatMy Third visit and everything lived up to my expectations09/01/2013 16:00:00ExcellantSecond visit to restaurant and although I was very disappointed they no longer had the Venison, the alternative suggestion of Duck was just as good. The staff are always polite and very professional. One of the best places to go with 'posh' food without the pricetag.03/01/2013 16:00:00Post New Year lunchTwo families dined at Michael Nadra 2/1/13. The food was first class. Delicious and beautifully presented. The lunch prix fixe menu is excellent value for money. MN's is definitely in our top 3 west London restaurants.01/01/2013 16:00:00AmazingWent for Nye food was excellent definitely come back for dinner during normal service30/12/2012 16:00:00Really delicious food.helpfulReally delicious food.helpful recommendations on wine.definately worth a repeat visit.one of the best meals we had had for a long time.22/12/2012 16:00:00Just rightWe wanted to celebrate my husband's birthday with great, creative food, but not the enormous prices or supercilious service that often comes attached. The service was just right - attentive but relaxed. The food was beautiful. We had a lovely time.21/12/2012 16:00:00Amazing FoodWe had a whole crab tempura at the start and salmon ceviche. Then we had the lamb and the duck and we finished with the chocolat fondant and tarte tatin. Each meal was beautifully presented and had a succulent taste to it. I highly recommend it.18/07/2012 16:00:00Highly recommended 6 course lunchMy fiancé and I still remember this meal almost a year ago after we ate at Michael Nadra's restaurant. The 6 course meal was perfect! It was just what we needed after feeling tired of being constantly disappointed at hotel food. We stayed at the Chiswick Moran Hotel which is the best value hotel in London, in my opinion. So our meal was the icing on the cake. Before this meal I never liked the idea of eating raw fish until I tried the salmon.. Wow! It was actually my favourite dish. The salmon was cut into fine pieces with avocado and a type of salsa, all very smooth, so much the chef may have lost money on this dish! My fiancé is allergic to chocolate, so was very happy with the variety of dessert options and loved the rose water sorbet.07/07/2012 00:00:00Nadra impresses once again!I took a party of four to Michael Nadra's for a Jubilee Tasting Menu - but found in fact that once again, the a-la-carte menu was so enticing, we all ordered from there instead. I can't recommend the Sea Bass highly enough - whilst the rest of the party swore by the Duck, Lamb and Cod. The food here is exquisite! It is only unfortunate that the restaurant is no longer a 'hidden' gem - as it attracts a decent quantity of custom which very unfortunately seems to include (on more than one occasion) a brash American female who can't quite get her volume levels down to acceptable levels - but I guess that's just bad luck! Go here, you will not regret it - and use the Top Table offers which may excellent value just get better and better!01/06/2012 16:00:00Great gem just off the highGreat gem just off the high street in Chiswick. The servers were wonderful and the food was just delicious. I'd definitely recommend this.18/03/2012 17:00:00
