Restaurant Gordon Ramsay Ratings and Reviews
The food was amazing, the ambiance very intimate, and the service impeccable. The only complaint was the value for money. We were travelers and wanted to try Gordon's restaurant. It's slightly pricey.
3 star service from 5 star people
What I like about Gordon Ramsay Hospital Road is the excellent food prepared and served as if you are in a restaurant where you eat weekly. Friendly, calm but with knowledge and a feeling of genuine welcome. We know many french star-restaurants where you get the feeling that you may be lucky to be able to eat with them. At Gordon Ramsay Hospital Road you are really welcome !
A great dinner
I am really have a great dinner time at Gordon Ramsay. The food is great and all the staffs are friendly and helpful.
We had long aspired to eat at Restaurant Gordon Ramsey and our expectations for the evening were met in every respect. Based upon Gordons' cook books, which we find some of the clearest to use , we hoped for food of the highest culinary order and consistent quality throughout. This was all achieved together with a quality of service to match and as a bonus (because it was our wedding anniversary) we were invited into the kitchens afterwards; a real tree. The number of staff, both out in the restaurant and in the kitchen, is a testament to the restaurants commitment to quality. Every detail is carefully thought out. My wife is a coeliac and the service and flexibility towards this was first class. They ran through the deserts menu at an early stage in order that they could have time to offer my wife an almost free choice off the menu ; leaving enough time to do the necessary adaptions. Restaurant Gordon Ramsey is the "Tops" for us and we we endeavour to use it for very special occasions
I have eaten at this restaurant on more than one occasion and the food, service and ambiance are always excellent. It is a restaurant that I would find hard to criticise

We went for the £65 set lunch menu (on a bit of a budget) and it was just perfect. After reading the other menu option it was a little disheartening going of the lunch menu but we were truly blown away. The restaurant it self is quite small and intimate, which just makes the service even more effortless. Would highly recommend to anyone.
A Birthday Treat
We had wanted to go to this restaurant for a very long time, but the waiting list is understandably long. However, a significant round birthday made booking well in advance worthwhile. Lunch proved to be every bit as good as we had hoped. The food and service were both excellent and the three course lunch menu is extremely good value for such high quality. None of our party had anything but the highest praise for any course, but the desserts in particular were wonderful.

Service was a bit slow to start but the Maitre'd top notch Food outstanding and great place for anyone who appreciates faultless food full of flavour
An excellent meal
I had never been here before but would certainly recommend it - the food, service and staff were perfect. It is expensive but worth the money and you are treated so well. Thank you for a lovely experience.

Hands down the best meal I've ever eaten. Luxurious, delicate, exquisite flavours. The wine was wonderful & the staff were welcoming & warm throughout the night. A great experience.
Superb in every resepct
What can I say? Superb food. Marvelous wines. Impeccable staff. Great friendly atmosphere. We have dined around the world and this restaurant is one of the very best.
Certainly in the Top3 restaurants in the UK
Hi This was the second time I have attended and the food is absolutely superb. We had the tasting menu prestige and every dish is beautifully presented and absolutely divine. The portions are slightly on the small size. The plus's are definitely the food, the service is very good. The negatives are that the wine list is very expensive and the tables are cramped quite close together. They have cleverly faced the chairs away from each other so that you cannot hear conversations from other tables, but I did feel cramped. It probably could do with a makeover as the inside of the restaurant is very boring and plain. However, the food is exceptional and I suppose that is what it is really about. One point is that although the website says smart clothes and man to wear jackets. in reality the customers were not that smartly dressed. Some people were in jeans and others looked like they had walked off the street whilst on their way to the shops. So don't get too bothered about what you wear. I would go again but probably would use the ala carte menu as the Prestige menu doesn't appear to change too much.
Can't recommend enough
Brilliant food from start to finish, with the service to match! We booked this restaurant for my birthday three months in advance and it was worth the wait. We tried all the desserts and it was the best 10 pounds we spent. The crab starter was spot on especially. A bit pricey but well worth it in my opinion
Best meal I have ever eaten.
Every mouthful of this 7 course taster menu was outstanding. The staff were helpful but not pushy and very welcoming.
over priced n so so service
a very rude reception on arrival. we are expecting a much friendly reception for such a the high end and renouced restaurant
We chose to have the taster menu and the food was, as expected, very good. Although the whole party chose to have the taster menu together, it would have been possible for members of the party to differ on their menu choice which was a pleasant change from most other top restaurants. What really set them apart however, was the exceptional service from the moment we walked in. All the staff were friendly and responsive. I often feel it is important for the service not to feel stuffy and the team here were very natural yet efficient. I would certainly go back.
Just great, can't be better!
For Gordon's finest, we had very high expectation for our Lunch. Even so, the food and service had far exceeded our expectation. As tourists from Hong Kong, we really don't expect much, as it won't be possible for us to re-visit the restaurant for a long while. There is a high variety of food in the menu, and all clearly explained. Staff are very detailed in everything, especially on food allergy, and even provided a separate peanut-free set for the complimentary dessert. We ordered some very common dishes, but they just taste different (and far better) than what we had before. Service is just as great even we are not wine-drinkers. After the lunch, Mr. Jean-Claude Breton even brought us in the kitchen and show us the stations. For a triple star restaurant this is a very amazing experience and made a great part of our memory!
Food was great, service was absolutely wonderful. Tour of the kitchen offered by the generous manager is going to be a memory of our trip to London. A must-visit destination in London. Will come back every time we're in London.
Dinner at Royal Hospital Rd
Our evening was a delight. The food was full of flavours and invention, the service was just the right tone and the staff were exceptionally knowledgeable and pleasant. This restaurant went right to the top of our list of Michelin star restaurants. The price isn't cheap though and it would be a great shame if one had to compromise what to eat and drink because of cost. It's not great value but it is a delightful indulgence
An end of season celebration
We took our top fashion team to Restaurant Gordon Ramsey last Friday to celebrate the end of a successful season having visited previously for a birthday celebration in March. As before the welcome was prompt with a genuine warmth. The restaurant has a marvellous balance of intimacy, warmth & professionalism. We ate sumptuous food perfectly served by a team who are able to deliver more than just a plate & sommeliers who are passionate about their speciality making it a pleasure to discuss wine with them. The Maitre d' has a perfectly balanced sense of humour & of course let's not forget the team in the kitchen serving up such rich unctuous & fabulous flavours. When we can we'll be back again.
Elegant and friendly
Outstanding service and atmosphere, delicious dishes prepared meticulously, good pace for the Prestige menu degustation and observant staff that could anticipate our needs. Very well done.
I booked this almost a year ago for my partners birthday and I am so glad I did, well worth the wait! We were looked after exceptionally well from the moment the taxi pulled up outside, the food was sublime, every flavour bursting on your tongue, so intense it was out of this world. Very attentive staff and had a couple of extra special treats that made my partners birthday and our entire experience, thank you for that's. We were both so pleased we will be going back again. Amazing!
An outstanding lunch. Service impecable yet very welcoming at the same time. Set menu at £65 for three course per head works out at £125 all in including an aperatif and bottle of wine. Not cheap but worth it once ina while ! All three courses were sumptuous and so delicate at the same time. Individual flavours stood out in each dish providing a fabulous experience
Outstanding fine dining
The service was great, very attentive, without being over you, the little surprises are delicious, the food is just PERFECT, the portions are good, they left you full but not overloaded, and you get a real taste of the food, and are able to explore the different flavors to the palate. Delicious, it was just a great experience, the food is simply delicious. And the service great, they speak every possible language you can image and bend over themselves to serve you and satisfy your needs.
We visited this restaurant yesterday for the first time and since then food has tasted differently. The food they make there is at another level of excellence and, although ridiculously expensive and tiny (portion-wise), still thrills and amazes you.
the food was excellent, the service was fun and we were given a tour of the kitchen after our meal. A great experience overall
Everything was more than perfect! We loved our italian waiter (it was a real help to have someone to talk with), he helped us even to translate the menù. The service was impeccable, maybe too much! (The restaurant is full of waiters, but is a price to pay for a good service without long waits). We felt like two Queens! Talking about food, products were extra fresh! Everything accurate and special flavours! But I have to admit that we expected more (maybe because we choose the lunch menù with less dishes). In the end I absolutely would recommend this restaurant to a friend for a special day!
A tree michelin stars restaurant, where you eat feeling at home, normal food presented like im paradise.
Exquisite dining experience
Everything was excellent. The maitre d'hôtel Jean-Claude and all the staff were exceptionally pleasant and the food was outstanding.
Very Nice as expected
Everything was perfect. Very good meal, a lot of serving people. Very Nice place and ambiance. French speaking people.
I went for a fairly special occasion - my 40th - and was simply fabulous! Highlights were the halibut and the lamb (which I think was the best lamb dish I've ever had!). Topped off by meeting Clare Smyth in the kitchen!!
Special experience as promised
Every individual staff was friendly and attentive. One of them who is in charge serve us with a sense of humour which add on more laughter we already had as a couple. I did not plan anything for my BF and informed them on the day saying we are celebrating my BF birthday. In addition to the amazing food, fabulous atmosphere we were offered to pay a visit to the kitchen before we leave. We felt extremely honoured and indeed our experience was very special as promised when I called up to make a reservation.
A delicious meal.
We very much enjoyed our meal here. The service was excellent and the food outstanding. The only negative point I would mention is the price. Although it is what you might expect to pay for a 3* restaurant, it still feels a little painful when your meal for two has ended and you are presented with a bill for £360.
The food was incredibly good no description can do it justice; I can still remember every course. The staff were all very friendly and attentive without being over the top. It will now be difficult to eat anywhere else because it has set us such a high standard.
This was our first visit and I guess my expectations were high, but we both left feeling a little short changed. The service was great, but we found the food and ambiance to be lacking. Good points The sommelier was fantastic as were the waiting staff Negative points Both out starters and main were underwhelming. No comparison to similar starred restaurants we have eaten at recently Main course of suckling pig was served luke warm There were children in the restaurant during lunch, walking round some of the tables whilst we were eating. Wouldn't return
Being of a certain age, my husband and I have eaten in some very special restaurants all over the world but we still rate Gordon Ramsey's Hospital Road as the very best - food and service are always outstanding..
Great experience. Oustanding staff and fantastic food.
The food was exceptional in every way.
As we entered the restaurant the host welcomed us with a nice smile and warm greeting. As we chose our wine and selected our dinner for the evening, it was difficult to make some decisions base on the wonderful selection of wines and entree's. Each course that we selected was presented in a first class manner, and the taste was exceptional. When the dinner was completed and the dessert had been served, we were in awe of the presentations. To say the least, dining at this restaurant was the height of enjoying food prepared and presented in a first class manner.
Lunch in Ramsays
The food was lovely. Not exceptional but lovely. The service was very very good and attentive. The fault I would find is that drink is severely over priced. 79 pounds was the cheapest price for a mere bottle of sparkling wine! The menu is also slightly over priced for what we ate. I understand the illusion of exclusivity but this is a step too far really. It is a shame as it really is not necessary. While we had a pleasant experience and could not fault the staff whatsoever, I really feel that the pricing is a little ridiculous. I could not recommend at these prices I'm afraid.
Really!!Good!!!the best in London!!!
