The ambiance was fantastic and the food was just as good. The service was impeccable.

I booked the TopTable offer (yes i know I'm a cheap skate!;-) but believe you me, you would not have thought so because the meal was as good as any I have had in 5 star restaurants! The quality, taste and presentation, were all excellent and best of all were the surprise additional excellent 'amuse bouche' type dishes that were included in the price paid. We were given a very romantic table by the window. Would definitely recommend this restaurant for a romantic meal for two or for a good meal out with friends!19/10/2012 16:00:00GOOD VALUE LUNCHDining room impeccably set out with fresh table cloths, linen napkins and sparkling glassware. The special lunch menu was the choice of all 12. The food was prepared, cooked and presented very well but was just a little sparse. Extra bread was quickly produced after asking. Helpings perhaps 15% larger would have been easily consumed. That apart, the lunch was very good, the staff never pressing to hurry us along (so why the 1200 hrs start?). We drank 6 bottles of the house wine which was of a good quality and we sat for almost an hour after coffee and sweets nattering away - always a good sign of a good place to eat.
Individual cost of £34 (incl tip) made the meal very good value.

The food on offer was absolutely excellent for the £19.98 per head deal, which included a lovely light bottle of Italian red. The ballotine of rabbit with carrot and cumin was outstanding, as were both mains and desserts. It was obviously a popular choice as by 1pm, the restaurant was full! As most previous reviews have stated, the service was excellent and the 3 course special with a glass of wine was of good quality and value. I chose particularly well and my meal was excellent, reports from the three others were that the food was very good, atmosphere and service top notch.

The weather outside was atrocious but the food, drink, service and ambiance inside were excellent and to the usual high standard.
