Excellent fois gras
We came here for a treat for lunch. We ordered salmon and fois gras for our starters - the fois gras was decadent and was the highlight of the lunch. We had paella and spit roast for our mains - both very nice. The service was at a good standard, but not at the perfect level you may expect for a top michelin starred restaurant. Overall, it was a nice experience.
The Perfect Saturday Lunch
I took my god daughter to lunch as a birthday present. She has a keen interest in food and is an excellent cook. We had the 2 course menu with wine, and opted for the Maine lobster. The whole meal was just perfect. The blend of flavours in the dishes we chose – including the amuse bouche which can often be rather bland – was amazing. There was originality and style in everything. I think it was the best lunch I have ever had and for both of us one of the best meals! We will be back.
Excellent small tapas style
Excellent small tapas style sharing plates, beautifully presented. Entertaining sitting at the bar counter watching the food being prepared. Good selection of gins for an aperitif.
Outstanding food and restaurant decorated great
We ordered an apéritif when arriving (pre-theatre menu): mine arrived minutes before the first course, my partner's wasn't served at all. Pitty within the context of an oustanding experience.
We stopped in Robuchon after Book of Mormon and our meal was "icing on the cake" to a great evening. While there was a minor hiccup at the beginning (we'd booked through toptable and couldn't specify we wanted to sit in the more formal second floor, not the casual downstairs where our original table was), we were swiftly seated upstairs and very happy. The service was seamless - effective sommelier, attentive waiters and nicely paced tasting menu. We asked for brioche with our foie gras, and it appeared within 3 minutes. The sommelier didn't hesitate to open a '98 Suduiraut for some sweet wine with the foie, too. We'd return, happily.
We had the 8 course tasting
We had the 8 course tasting menu and every dish was superb. The quality of the food and presentation is excellent. Worthy of its 2 Michelin star status and a must try.
Great brunch/Lunch place
Great food and amazing value as well with wine paired with the meal..
The food was excellent although portions did seem quite small when you compare it to other restaurants of this calibre. We went for the sommeliar wine selection with the menu and each of the wines were excellent, only niggle would be that the wine arrived some time before the food although they would refill your glass when asked.
From an ambience point of view the music did make it feel like you were in a nightclub as opposed to a restaurant.
Having said all this we would go back again, would just be prepared for the amount of food you get.
Went to L'Atelier de Joel Robuchon on Friday and had a fantastic evening. We went early to take advantage of the pre-theatre menu, which is great value for money and you still get a choice of at least four starters/mains/desserts to choose from, plus matching wines if you wish. We sat up at the bar and it is fascinating watching all the chefs at work. They were also very sweet and prepared a special dessert for my sister whose birthday we were celebrating. Highly recommend.
We had a wonderful Pre Theatre
We had a wonderful Pre Theatre menu off the fixed price meal with matching wine, it was superb!
Highly recommend and the service and ambience was outstanding.
We really enjoyed our meal at L Atelier de Joel Robuchon. The food was excellent with a great choice on the menu. The service was friendly and swift. Overall we would highly recommend this restaurant if anyone was interested in a great dining experience with an Asian twist.
Has to be experienced
The food here is absolutely outstanding. The pre-theatre menu with paired wines is also fantastic value for the quality you get. Atmosphere is incredible, we felt transported - as though we were on holiday. Service is quick, friendly, and attentive, but really it's all about the food and atmosphere. If you like your food perfectly cooked, spectacularly presented, and packed with flavour this is the place for you.
Great pre fixe menu
It was lovely to sit around the bar and watch the chefs cook. my only advice is don't get them to choose the wine for you. you will be waiting a while for a dirnk and when it comes it will be a very small measure.
Delicious pre-theatre dinner
We booked fairly last minute for a pre-theatre dinner, arriving at 6pm. We were a bit conscious of the time and initially thought we would only have time for a couple of courses, but we had plenty of time for three plus coffee and were off to the ballet by 7.15.
The food was outstanding, as you might hope and we were sat front and centre opposite the kitchen, which really added a lot to the experience. No shouty Ramsays in this kitchen: it was a well-oiled machine working precisely and expertly. Fabulous to watch. Drinks range from sensible prices for London to a bit wild, so our bill came in a bit higher than we expected.
We will definitely be back!
Nice weekend lunch
I went to this restaurant for a birthday lunch on a Saturday afternoon. I really liked the interior and the decor of the restaurant. The staff were very friendly and the food was very tasty, fresh and well made. The set lunch menu with the matching wines was good value too. We found after two courses (starter and main course) that, with the small extras (eg amuse bouche, bread) we were full. We stayed for over three hours and at no point were we rushed to leave. I'd definitely return again.
Another wonderful meal
Went for the pre-theatre menu which was varied and big enough to please everyone. Really enjoyed every part of the evening
Great value lunch menu
We found an offer through toptable for a 2-course lunch menu and decided to go on a whim.. La cuisine did not disappoint! The offer menu was in no way limited or constrained, the food was excellent, service was impeccable, and we left happy. Will definitely return again.
I have been at Joel Robuchon,
I have been at Joel Robuchon, London, a few times. I would say that the food is great but I would prefer the testing menu rather than the a la carte. Service, of course, very good. Friendly, having a sense of humor, slow sometimes but acceptable.
L'Atelier de Joel Robuchon
It takes a few moments to adjust to the dim lighting and dark decor of L'Atelier on a summer's day, but the rooftop bar on the 3rd floor was a great spot to try their cocktails and enjoy the last of the sunshine. The service is impeccible, and the food was beautifully presented, but expect small portions on the pre-theatre deal - I had to fill up with the bread basket. And if you take the 'with wine' menu option, the sommelier barely covers the bottom of the glass with his selection for each course. So I'd suggest buying wine by the glass or bottle instead.
I love l'Atelier de Joel Robuchon. The service is delightful and the place is attractivge and smart whiler still being relaxed. But the real star is the food. A stunning meal.
Pre theatre lunch
Tried this on the basis of a Time out offer. Everything was superb from the attentive staff to the elegantly presented food. The cocktails after lunch .. Which was a bit of an indulgence were very nice too. Will return when the bank balance allows
quite simply excellent
visited this venue for pre theatre meal. wow.amazing food. brilliant staff.
i could go on but recommend you visit yourself and defo try the chili coxktail
Horses for Courses
The food here is very good, as you would expect. However, we went for Sunday lunch, and it is a place much more suited to business lunches. Nevertheless, an enjoyable experience.
Overall great except for one thing.
The food and service were excellent. My only complaint was being seated at the bar and not being asked if we wanted a table. This was not specified at the time of booking so we should have been given a choice. Other than that, a really enjoyable lunch!
Excellent food, one of the
Excellent food, one of the most enjoyable meals we had in London. Service was not too attentive. The place looked like a high end diner and the atmosphere was quite relaxed. I'd definitely go back for the food.
I took my wife here for her birthday and we both had a thorough ably great time. The service was truly outstanding and it was a fascinating experience to see the chefs cook in front of your own eyes - truly unique
Truly superb .... excellent
Truly superb .... excellent fare and impeccable service.... Legendary cooking equalling that of Alain Ducasse , Pierre Koffman and Helene Darroze..
Fast and friendly service,
Fast and friendly service, fantastic food and wine. Very highly recommended for a pre-theatre meal. Sadly my wife received the wrong main course (chicken instead of the special), but I think that this was a graciously admitted mistake and it did not spoil our evening.
An evening to remember with 5 star service in every area. Food and wine was outstanding. Fine dining with a relaxed edge. Will become a regular indulgence.
We visited L'atelier for a post show meal. We were seated at a table for two, but there's also seating at the counter, from where you can watch the chefs at work. The black & red colour scheme and cool tunes lend a funky atmosphere, and there's a real late night buzz. All the dishes we ordered were beautifully presented and contained the best quality ingredients. The main problem was what to order as there were so many wonderful choices!
After dinner we were escorted by lift to the rooftop bar for coffee. We thought that it was good value for the quality of the meal.
We thoroughly enjoyed the experience and would happily recommend for a great night out.
Always something for everything and everything tastes great
We had a nice experience at
We had a nice experience at Robuchon's place, nice food and service
We had a degustation menu and until the cod course , the quality and pace were really perfect, but suddenly when we waited for the pork/Quail more than half an hour!!
It was the only stain in a beautiful dinner
Enjoyed a beautiful lunch
Enjoyed a beautiful lunch at atelier, the service was impeccable and very friendly, an interesting menu with lovely presentation. The decor very attractive and lively
First try of Joel Robuchon...
A bit surprised to be seated next to one another at the bar, but then L'Atelier de Joel Robuchon doesn't seem to have a great deal of space! The food was really good, though, and the service friendly and professional without being over-bearing. It wasn't cheap, but for food that good, it was worth it.
Amazing, inventive and delicious!
You can't miss at this venerable establishment that offers, amazingly delicious, meticulously prepared, inventive dishes. The pre and post dinner deals are a bargain. Worth every penny and then some!
Outstanding French cuisine
Phenomenal food from start to finish, with very attentive and friendly service.
Excellent food and very attentive
Excellent food and very attentive service. Pre theatre deal is fantastic.
A very fine lunch time meal
My wife and I both elected the special 3-courses with matching wines option.
All 3 courses (and the preceding amuse-bouche) were delicious and the wines complemented them perfectly.
The service was attentive and friendly.
We ate upstairs at La Cuisine section of the restaurant. It has good ambience although a bit warm for perfect comfort.
We will definitely return to try the downstairs L'Atelier section.
One of the most amazing gastronomical experiences we have ever had. We had great service, great food and they even gave us a tour of all three levels of the restaurant / bar etc. We will definitely be going back (and very soon hopefully). Highly recommended - especially for the Head of Service and the Head Chef :-)
Lunch at L'Atelier de Joel Robuchon
A wonderful place just around the corner from the Ivy. It is a hidden gem with beautiful dark red and black decor and a wall of green foliage to make you feel you're outdoors inside. Food was delicious, starting with an amuse bouche and then risotto nero with grilled squid and chorizo as my starter; it was wonderful. My main was the spit roast of the day (pork ribs) with mash and accompanying veg. Everything was presented perfectly and we had a lovely wine chosen to compliment the food. My 2 tiny quibbles were 1) not being offered a wine list to choose from myself and see the prices & 2) the waiter we had was over-keen to interrupt, clear our table and get us to pay. Without that I would have rated the experience outstanding.
Experience luxury dining at L'Ateli
We asked to be sat at the bar and we then spent our time watching the chefs prepare some fantastic food and overall a total luxury dining experience. We opted for the 2 course lunch with matching wines. My food selection was poached egg is light batter (not a clue how they kept the yoke runny) followed by the days spit-roast which was belly or pork and lots of accompanying tasty veg. My lady had a main of confit duck with gratin top which was also excellent and cheese for dessert. Really very good food.
The service was very French and overall ambiance was one of luxury dining so comes recomended. The staff took time to look after you and explaim the food. if you get a choice sit at the bar and spend a few hours in heaven.
Great food, great service
Great food, great service overall a wonderful fine dining experience
Very nice restaurant
Firstly, the decor in the restaurant is beautiful and what struck me when we walked in was that, unlike many of the other fine dining restaurants in London, this place wasn't stuffy. There was actually hustle and bustle, noise and a great atmosphere!
We took the 2 starters, main and dessert with wine pairings for £59 which was very, very good value. I'd recommend this restaurant and will certainly be returning.
L'Atelier de Joel Robuchon
We has a wonderful meal at this restaurant. It was our third time and we absolutely love it. Service and food are excellent. Would highly recommend for any occasion.
Sometimes when I need to treat myself I take myself on a lunch date to L'Atelier where I am guaranteed excellent food, excellent service and a delightful dining experience
Wins on many levels
This is one of my favourite restaurants because it combines superb food and service with a very cool, sophisticated but informal setting. The wide selection of dishes provides the opportunity to tailor the experience to one's mood and appetite on the day, from small plates to regular a la carte. The big guns are there: foie gras, langoustines, lobster, etc and you can mix and match without having to commit to an 8 course tasting menu, although that's also on offer if the fancy takes you. Service is superb without being too formal. It really provides the complete experience.
Just marvellous food
Atelier is very well placed for covent garden and the city centre. It's decor is modern and menu marvellous with a wine list suitably expensive and comprehensive. It was a perfect setting for a late lunch to catch up with my son. It deserves its 2 Michellin stars
best food with excellent service
Visited Robuchon in London for lunch. The food and service were both impressive. Great value for money!
This was a treat day for our
This was a treat day for our family. So we went with our two daughters , 19 and 21 yrs and started with the lunch here followed by Jeeves and Wooster at the Duke of York theatre round the corner. Then a bit of Christmas shopping, cocktails then Gaucho restaurant . This was the highlight for me. Amazing food and impeccable service. My youngest daughter found it difficult to hold back tears of joy when she had her first mouthful of the Duck Confit main. She loves Duck Confit but this version was sublime.
Really good food!
The restaurant is really nice and cosy, the staff is lovely and very professional, but most of all, food is amazing.
Lunch is totally affordable.
