Excellent Spanish Escapism
Great food, tried rump steak, which comes tapas style, but the perfect size. Atmospheric space.
Great wine choice.
Great waitress from Barcelona - speaks Catalan - well done.
very nice meal pre a concert at the Proms. Some excellent and unusual dishes.
Easy dinner out
Nice relaxed restaurant, kind service
Just a little expensive
This is a great place for a fun night with friends. It is buzzy and lively.
Great quality food and service.
Great quality food and service. This is a very popular venue so bookings at peak times would be wise. The iberica ham is devine, absolutely outstanding.
We booked for lunch for after a visit to an exhibition. We were early but that was not a problem. The waiter talked us through the menu giving recommendations. There were 3 of us and we shared 6 tapas which was more than plenty for us for lunch, a bottle of tap water and a bottle of very nice chilled white wine. Superb.
Great lunch,excellent service
Booked a table for three for lunch before heading up to Albert Hall for Proms Last Night. Arrived early but were received politely and our requested table (in window) was available almost immediately. The waiter was extremely attentive but not pushy, recommended an excellent wine (Jose Pariente) and when taking our food order, clarified the order in which the various tapas items would be brought to the table.
We particularly liked the gazpacho, beetroot and blue cheese salad, Catalan spinach and chicken and ham croquettas. We all tried the leche frita dessert, having had it explained to us. It hit the spot with me but one of my companions thought it a bit bland.
All in all, a very pleasing experience. Looking forward to another visit.
Amazing friendly staff
My friends and I had a wonderful dinner at Casa Brindisa last night. The food was fantastic (iberico selection, gambas, octopus etc etc) of course. But the highlight were the staff, who entertained our request to change tables to sit closer to the kitchen and watch the chefs prepare their delightful dishes, and bantered with us and created a wonderful atmosphere for dinner.
I've been to Casa Brindisa more than once. The location is very convenient, easy to reach from the tube station but facing a pretty little square in the heart of south Kensington. Food is excellent and quite decent portions considering that most of them are "tapas". Good service and nice atmosphere inside the venue. Last time I went there was a Sunday evening but was good that I booked in advance anyway because the restaurant was really full.
The servings were tasty and good sized. Good attentive staff. A great birthday surprise for my wife. Sauted spinach with raisons and pine nuts was yummy!
Was what I was looking for that day. Really have a good time. The service was great, cause it was like being home. Spanish waitress with good recommendation for the wine. The food!!!! We had several dishes and all of them were good prepared.
A good find
Great tasting food with some tapas dishes that are different from the norm. Very courteous, friendly and helpful staff, quick service and good atmosphere. Would recommend.
We had a lovely meal at Casa Brindisa on a Saturday lunchtime. Ate the vegetarian dishes that were all fab - espcially the monte enebro cheese in honey! Highly recommend it.
The staff coped well with
The staff coped well with our large party. The food quality was good, the atmosphere lively and the staff friendly and efficient.
Great food, great service
Been to casa brindisi a few times by now, and they continue to serve consistently great Spanish tapas. Especially love the gambas (prawns), iberico ham, steak (cant rem the name of the dish. it's the one written on the blackboard) and octopus! Looking forward to the next meal :)
Delicious Tapas experience
Love this place. The food is excellent - chorizo and octopus are my favourites. Service is also attentive and friendly. Highly recommend.
Fifth visit - perhaps the most of any restaurant in London. Delicious tapas plates, swiftly delivered. The fact that I keep going back is recommendation enough.
The food is really good and
The food is really good and authentic. I enjoyed the variety, the quality and the good service. The ambience was great too. A good experience.
Nice Al Fresco Drinks & Nibbles
This is a great little spot for afterwork drinks. I meet my girls here because it is so conveniently located just behind South Ken tube station, it has outdoor tables, and a decent wine list. The service is just okay, but hey - it's London.. and it's not a fine dining spot, it's perfect for what it is!! Give it a go.
Our fourth time and a change of menu. All dishes chosen were very good and arrived in their usual staggered style which makes for a great leisurely meal. Definitely the best tapas in town!
Super sherry and top tapas
The first time at Case Brindisa did not disappoint. The Manzanilla to start the meal was outstanding for flavour and bouquet. Attentive service brought a fine selection of tapas, with a lightness and freshness not always found in such dishes. The choice of Spanish wines by the glass is very good - and the bill by no means painful. Shall visit again.
Delicious Spanish food
I love Spain and I love tapas so Brindisa is on to a winner with me but the tapas her really hear a cut about the rest and we'll priced given the convenient location and quality of the food. I've been before and I'll vertically be going back. Perfect for meeting friends.
Easy to navigate menu which offers excellent choices of meat, fish or vegetable based dishes which are ample size for authentic sharing tapas. Service was very friendly and efficient and even the staff are authentically Spanish too! Good wine list to accompany the food and a great ambience.
Welcoming staff, lovely ambience, warm decor and delicious food!
Definitely recommend booking online. We arrived at 5:30pm on a Saturday and the place was buzzing! We were welcomed and quickly shown to our table. Staff were attentive when needed to be without being overbearing and pushy. Each course did not take long to arrive and despite being extremely busy we were not kept waiting when we finished each part of the meal. The food was delicious and the menu had plenty of choice. We were surrounded by 3 or 4 different tables of spanish speaking customers (all different parties), so we reckon it's got to be good!!!
Delicious but pricey
The food cannot be faulted - delicious and beautifully presented. My only gripe is that some dishes like the cuttlefish were expensive for the size of the portion.
Very tasty tapas
We came here as a family of 4 (no children) before going to a concert at the Albert Hall. Most of the plates were delicious (a clam dish that should have been amazing was spoiled by sherry-overload), the service was excellent, friendly and authentic, and wine was very good. It was perfect for what we needed, but if we had gone there solely for a meal I would have been slightly disappointed by the atmosphere. Not quite as buzzy as I'd have hoped (although it was a Monday), and the lighting was much too harsh, giving an almost cafe feel. Overall though, we all had a lovely meal and I would recommend to friends.
What a lovely spot. Close to South Ken tube station with outdoor tables for al fresco dining. The restaurant itself was a little noisy for a Tuesday night, but the general atmosphere was warm, buzzy and convivial.
Outstanding tapas dishes - the iberico ham was a standout. As was the goats cheese with orange blossom honey. I could go on and on. But I won't. Just go there.
Lunch with a zing
Really enjoyed Casa Brindisa, lively atmosphere and terrific Spanish food with great service in the way only the Spanish know how.
on a Thursday evening it was full and buzzing...we had a lovely meal but felt a bit rushed by the staff. Very convenient for the South Ken tube and the Albert Hall.
Lively atmosphere, great food
Lively atmosphere, great food and terrific service. I was delayed for my reserved table, but the staff couldn't have been nicer to my friend while he waited and there was no rush when I did eventually arrive. So good to feel welcomed and relaxed after a stressful day. It's service like this that makes a difference.
a little taste of Spain
Ate here pre a concert at Albert Hall - convenient venue for tube and the Hall. It's always busy and has a good buzz. This evening there were a lot of families (half term) but the staff managed the mixed clientele well. We were encouraged by our waitress to pick from the special Andalucian menu - a good choice, especially the aubergines in chestnut honey and the accompanying wine. Good value for what you get and would go again.
Fantastic food - very friendly staff with 7 of us aged 7 to 70
It couldn't have been better.
5 STAR +++++
Spanish omelet and soup
Their hearty soups are worth it. Their tapas could be seen has pricey but its South Kensington, did you see what the museum cafe charge? Just pick 1-2 tapas, 2 omelets and a plate of cold cut meats and you can feed 4 adults for £12 each
Consistently great food
We eat at Casa Brindisa every time we visit London and they are always great. Food is super, and service is very kind and friendly. Whenever we had company our guests enjoyed it too. We recommended to other friends that are visiting London and always thanked for it. Best garlic prawns and grilled octopus in addition to many others.
Second time here and food was great again, service excellent, it's always busy as it's so close to the museums. Not cheap but well worth a visit.
Great tapas perfect location
Good food something for everyone and we shared everything, wonderful location close to museums and South Ken tube station pedestrian area so no traffic noise and no car fumes. Would be lovely outside in summer.
A welcoming restaurant offering
A welcoming restaurant offering simple food of excellent quality, and diners clearly enjoying the experience. The staff were friendly, knowledgeable, efficient and supportive without being obtrusive. A very much enjoyed lunch, and to be repeated......
Great place to feel the buzz and eat delicious Spanish Tapas. Great for sharing and laughing the night away.
Excellent food and lovely service
Brindisa across all its venues delivers outstanding food. It is relatively expensive for tapas but the quality is outstanding. Food you want to eat again and again and spend days savouring the memory. Lovely, charming staff as well.
Very swift and efficient service means that you can indulge in a Brindisa meal over a one hour working lunch.
I think that the food is tasty. There are enough tapas that you walk away satisfied that you had a good meal with lots of flavor, something that would be difficult to achieve at home on your own.
The table was booked for three
The table was booked for three of us - all family members - one of whom was arriving an hour after the other two. This was no problem for the restaurant. The two of us were served immediately with a series of delicious plates - especially the octupus leg - one dinner - a vegetarian - found a tempting choice on the menu. The food was outstanding - the plates were brought promptly and discreetly. When the other family member arrived, staff appeared and brought his order immediately. More drinks were required which were also speedily brought after informed discussion on the relative merits of buying a further bottle or ordering separate glasses of wine. Ideal for pre/post theatre or informal gathering. Highly recommended.
Excellent place. They gave us a small separate area as it was my daughter's birthday.
We had a candle in the desert and they sung 'happy birthday' for her beautifully.
Love Brindisa and this branch takes reservation which is a big plus and real handy for a group going there before catching a show
I feel I should start this review by admitting we were probably the maitre d's worst nightmare. Somehow, we managed to turn up to dinner with an extra two guests - yet the maitre d' managed to find two spare chairs in an already packed restaurant and (just) squeezed them onto our table to make a rowdy group of 8. Excellent customer service - thank you! The food was lovely and it all came out quickly. We ordered about 16 dishes to share between us, which was plenty. I would definitely recommend. The price was very reasonable too.
Went for Sunday lunch with my partner and another couple. Promptly seated, pleasant staff, warm atmosphere including the temperature as it was a cold day out! The food was excellent!! We shared tapas plates and had a great time. The prices were good and I would say it was a very good value. Will definitely go back!
This restaurant provides good choices for those who like tapas style eating as well as those who would prefer a larger main dish. Potato Tortilla is especially delicious. The staff are very helpful and we found the wine recommendation perfect. Service is attentive and speedy, making this an ideal stop before theatre.
Best Tapas in London ?
Excellent restaurant which sticks to its promise of specialising in the best of Basque food. Interesting wine list and good advice from staff. Clean, open room, with a couple of quieter tables at the back.
Great food & good, efficient
Great food & good, efficient service. Very busy, even on a Tuesday night. Tables a bit close together.
Noisy and in keeping with the area
This is a kid friendly restaurant, being so close to the museums. As such its noisy.
However the food is good as are the wine selections. The staff are a little badly behaved in that they were openly pointing to and discussing customers but overall service was quick and efficient.
