food at the roo.m
I felt way too much garlic in my meal. Garlic mash had too much garlic and overpowered the taste of everything else or was it disguising the lack of taste of something else on plate. Too much garlic is always a bit sis. Over as 'll experience very good and will be back.
The best meal I have ever eaten!
Wow wow wow!
Our first trip back to The Living Room since the menu change and boy we weren't disappointed! The food was outstanding and delicious worth a Michelin star I would say! Staff are very friendly and keen to help.
I would definitely return
I would definitely return to the Living Room. It was a great place for a meal with friends. The menu choices were very interesting and unusual, with plenty of extra options availabl as specials. Presentation was excellant, food was hot and tasty, served by very helpful staff.
Great food, but expensive, eg £14 for fish and chips.
Preferred old menu to new, but had 40% off voucher so thought we'd go. We were told voucher was not valid on new menu, despite there being no expiry date on it and only having received it a few weeks ago just prior to new menu launch.
Got discount in the end as another couple complained so profusely about a deal they were supposed to get!
Living up to standards
Impossible to fault. The food and service was excellent. A little expensive, but that was to be expected. I would reccomend this restraunt to anyone, as it was to me.
Had a great eveing at the Living Room in Glasgow. Having been to its counterpart in Edinburgh and been impressed we were a little worried it might not live up to our expectations. We needn't have worried as the staff, the food and the ambience all added up to a wonderful experience. We were even royally entertained at our table by Billy Reid who performed some incredible card tricks right in front of us! Highly recommended!
Fab experience, cant wait to go back
It was our 1st time visiting TLR&we were delighted.
We email@example.com to be greeted with a live pianist. This set the tone&created a very romantic &relaxed atmosphere.Cocktails-divine&we were delighted to learn that they are al 1/2 price on a Fri.
Service &meal first class-attentive helpful,very friendly.
We both had 3 course.Portions plentiful.
I had chicken with popcorn for starter, sea bass with lentils &orange infused broccoli for mains.I fell in love with the choco fondant.Dreamy& delicious!!
Value wise we had a voucher, but looking at the prices on the menu,it was well worth it.When it comes to dining out, if you get fab food &service then i'll pay what ever. TLR ticked all the boxes and the atmosphere was wonderful.
A good evening
Me and my wife recently visited the living rooms for out first wedding anniversary meal. We arrived early for our booking so we had a seat at the bar and had a couple of cocktails before our booking time. Onto the meal and both starters were very nice and very well presented. For the mains my wife had fish and chips (which she really enjoyed ) I opted for the steak and chips. Having asked for it to be well done I was disappointed when it came out and was rare. It was sent back and when it came back out it was still about the medium mark. However I was too embarrassed to send it back for a second time. Desserts were very nice and again well presented. A nice touch at the end when we recieved a free cocktail in a tea pot for our anniversary.
Visited the Living Room for the first time on the 25th for Robbie WIlliams. The food was fantastic along with very friendly staff which added to the overall experience.
Superb pre concert lunch and drinks and %50 off as we booked with top table....1st class place great service!
This was my first visit to Glasgow's Living Room. I have previously dined a couple of times in Edinburgh. However I will definitely be back, the new menu is superb, and value for money amazing.. Great Service from very friendly attentive staff.
Exceeded all expectations
Having enjoyed the Living Room in Edinburgh last year, I knew my time in Glasgow would likely be just as good, but it was even better! Great ambience, restaurant has a nice layout, staff were very pleasant and efficient, and the food was out of this world. I'd happily recommend it to anyone.
Excellent service from Sean
Excellent service from Sean (Irish boy) who served us throughout the night and catered to all our needs.
My husband and I both work
My husband and I both work in the hospitality industry and we often find it difficult to "switch off" from work when out for a meal.
However, we could not fault a single thing. We receieved fantastic service from Sean (he was attentive without being over the top, and seemed very genuine), lovely, peaceful surrounding (we later moved to the bar area with a window seat to drink our wine).
And massive compliments to the chef. I eat a lot of vegetarian dishes, and the gnocci was the best I have ever had!
An afternoon without the kids at "The Living Room" was just what we needed to relax and unwind.
Excellent meal food ,service could not be faulted and the atmosphere was fantastic. Would thoroughly recommend this restaurant.
Great value for money. Went

We had a fantastic meal at the Living room, Glasgow. The staff were friendly, patient (if you can't make up your mind!), attentive but not intrusive and poliite, The food is excellent as was the value.
Our 1stlunch experience
My daughter and I went for lunch last week at the Living Room. We were surprised and delighted that we got 50 % discount off our bill!
Our round table was quite tight to accommodate and manouevre around at times! Food choice was great and quality of food was very good. Waiters were very attentive most of the time but sometimes you had to wait a bit , as you did waiting for your food. Wine measures were not terribly generous ie for Proscecco Rose (£6 a glass).!
We would certainly return again.
Went with the girls and couldn't have been happier with the service and food... Would definitely recommend to friend and family.
Was again at GLR for my birthday staff wonderful and I even got a discount and a free drink Manager came and spoke to me and I felt so important. Always have a great time well worth a visit. Thanx again
Really enjoyed our meal at the weekend beautiful food, great service and heat value for money.
Felt welcomed as soon as we walked in, the waiters were justso ffriendly and helpful. The food was amazin . Too
It was my birthday when we
It was my birthday when we visited and i had a lovely time. The food and drinks menu were fab.
This was my first visit to the Living Room. Took my mum prior to going to the theatre. We were early so had a drink in the bar, which was very relaxing. Both our meals were very good, hot when they arrived and good sized portions. The sea bass was particularly good. All the staff were very polite and attentive. Really nice way to begin our evening.
Can't wait to go again.
Haven't stopped talking about The Living Room since I was there, great food, great service, was a great start to a perfect night. :) Keep up the good work and thanks for everything.
Had a fantastic meal on a Saturday evening. Great food, friendly and efficient service and quality live music. Will definitely be back.
I have visited the Living Room several times for different occasions and never been disappointed. Great, well presented food and warm and friendly service

Needed a quick lunch and The Living Room obliged with good fast service and food served well within our limited time. Only comment was that it was a bit quiet!
once again this restaurant
once again this restaurant never fails me. the service is excellent, the food amazing & the whole experience of dining is first class. would recommend to any & of course, will return once again.
Dinner at the livingroom
Had a fantastic evening on Saturday at The Livingroom bar and restaurant. The ambience was fantastic and service could not be faulted. The background music of the piano was an added bonus and just contributed to the atmosophere.
This is now a few times I have been at the venue, all of which I cannot fault.
the cherry on top
I found this place online just browsing through good restaurants near central station in Glasgow because my group did not want to stray too far from our train. The atmosphere was warm and inviting and pretty hip for college students like us. We ordered dinners and desserts and they were all fantastic/1 /good portions and good prices. The best part of the evening was the bill. To our surprise, the restaurant was having a special that weekend of half off the total bill. Being a budget-conscious college student travelling abroad, it was a great ending to a wonderful meal. The staff was friendly and did not pressure us for anything. I would love to go back.
A great atmosphere for dinner after the theatre. There were six in our party and the service was excellent throughout the evening where we never felt rushed. We have booked again for another special evening at the end of November.
Went with some work collegues and we had wonderful cocktails ( half price) and the food was amazing with 2 having the monkfish and myself having the pulled pork brioche i would thoroughly recommed this dish, the service was also amazing
Wanted somewhere new for my
Wanted somewhere new for my wife's birthday -the Living Room turned out to be an excellent choice
Lunch menu is a winner
We had the lunch menu with extra £10 bottle of white
Sticky toffee pudding
Outstanding value with 2 extra drinks and the food was great, liked the burgers.
I did not see any evidence of the lunch menu being a cut price version of the main a la carte which I usually eat.
We agreed to go back in a few weeks
Great service and good meal
Enjoyed our evening at the Living Room before going off the the cinema. Always fantastic service from great staff. More of a buzz when we left at 8:00pm than there was at 6:30pm - we Glaswegians like to eat late!
Ate in the bar area with a view out over St Vincent St. Prompt service from the lunch menu. Very good food freshly prepared. Attentive but not intrusive service. Not very busy so no problem getting a table. Would recommend.
Food is always good here but it can be slow in arriving. Restaurant was busy. It took a long time for starter & mains to come. Waiting staff appeared to be rushed off their feet. Suspicion was that they were understaffed
We were a party of 6, the service was excellent and the food was great. Only gave the food 4 stars because 4 of us had chateaubriand but it was not very warm. Other than there was a great atmosphere. We all loved it. Will definetly be back.
Table was ready at the designated time. Pleasant staff very attentive and helpful. Food really tasty as usual. Often go to The Living Room but usually in Newcastle as that's our local one. Will definitely visit Glasgow again and will probably come to The living Room again. Always a good choice.
took my mum and aunt to the living room for their lunch while shopping in glasgow. The menu was good, service excellent and the food delicious. This restaurant has a lovely atmosphere and a very warm and welcoming feel.
We have been to the livingroom on several occasions and we have been treated very well, the food has been very good and would defiantly recommended to friends and family.
Pork Board !
Top marks for service and the food was to die for !
An all round fantastic service, food was amazing and staff are extremely attentive.
Nothing is too much trouble, would highly recommend
will certainly be back again
The food was really tasty. A really good selection of food to choose from menu . Whether your a meat fish or veggie lover! Second time at the living room! No faults or complaints. Excellent overall .
Sunday evenin dinner
Thank you for a lovely evening myself and my husband came along for our anniversary meal, nothing was rushed our server was extremely polite and friendly. Food was great and loving the half price cocktails...thank you :)
What a great wee find. Loved this restaurant. Will def be bk
Table for three
IHad dinner with friends here last Friday. On arrival our table was ready and waiting as was a friendly waiter. The menu was expansive, with a fish focus Id say and plenty of choice for our veggie mate as well. Food arrived sharply and was given thoughtful presentation and was delicious - only negative point was the live singer who was crooning away. The volume of the speakers right next to us was turned up so loud we had to shout at each other. Thankfully he was turned down half way through dinner.
Service at the bar was excellent, and quick. The bar was clean and the "music-man" playing the piona was very very good.
Lovely meal & service
Although we had to wait over 1/2 hr for our table the staff could not apologise enough and tried to keep us updated into how long our table would be. As I worked in this business I suggested to the staff member to give us the
menus and we would order just now so we didn't have even longer to wait after we were seated. The manager apologised and offered us a complimentary drink along with a discount off our meal for the inconvenience.
Otherwise all the staff were really nice (bar and waiting) and the food was really nice too. I had the Mussels to start with -really tasty and the Gressingham Chicken for my main - again really tasty. All my other family and friends remarked on how nice there meals were too. We will definately be back.
