I was really pleasantly surprised; beautifully presented and very tasty food. Also v good virgin mary drinks!
The Spring Inn is a great
The Spring Inn is a great location for our Mustang car meets. The staff are friendly, although on the 2 occasions we've visited, as a group of 10+, there's been a little confusion as to whether we should order from the bar or wait for waitress service. However, the food has been excellent on both occasions.
The decor is very smart and welcoming and the carpark is ideal for our cars!
We're now looking to book our Christmas meal at the Sping Inn, and hope to have all our monthly meets here in the coming months.
Really Enjoyed Our Meal
The Spring Inn was perfect for a lazy Sunday Roast and an opportunity to catch up with friends. The atmosphere was lovely and the kids enjoyed the relaxed environment. We will be back.
3 parts of our family met here for lunch between Christmas & New Year in Dec 2012. I had driven past the Spring Inn several times, but never stopped. I chose the venue as being equidistant for us all to travel. Although the building looks plain from the outside, the interior decor was interesting, with a good mix of dining tables and comfy chairs. The food quality, presentation and service was very good. The only minor negative was that the fish and chips was quite dry, though the fish itself was lovely. We will definitely be visiting again
Gorgeous food though expensive...
My partner had a Spring Burger, but extras such as bacon, cheese and an egg were £1.50 each. An egg for £1.50 seems very steep to me!
Seafood Linguine was delicious!!
Drinks were very pricey. We didn't see a drinks menu so didn't know how much drinks were until we got the bill. Over £10 for soft drinks!! (2 each).
You are also charged for service regardless if you eat in the Resturaunt at 12.5%. I find this very cheeky.
I asked for boiled potatoes instead of mash but this wasn't available. This seems a bit strange to me as... How do you make mash without proper potatoes or does it come in pre-made? (I hope not!!)
Excellent well presented food
We have used the spring inn at various times of the day for light snacks, sunday lunches and evening meals, the most recent on 25th January. Service and attentiveness of the staff, both in the restaurant and the bar is polite and unobtrusive and always friendly.
The food can be simple if you require a light uncomplicated meal but sophisticated choices are on the menue, which are of a high quality, preparation, presentation and flavour are excellent. It is great to see the menue regularly updated keeping regular diners interested, and like us returning time After time. A huge bonus is they are taste card members which makes the spring inn exceptionally good value for money even without this it is a great place to dine.
I've been to The Spring Inn
I've been to The Spring Inn several times now; the atmosphere and service are always really good. However, the menu never changes and as a vegetarian this is frustrating.
50 % off mains Mondays
Myself and my friend went on the springinns 50% off mains monday nights, the food was outstanding and they use locally sourced meat which is always refreshing to see. After taking a very long time to choose from the menu myself and my friend both went for the ribeye steak (rare) which was AMAZING and it was served rare and not medium which I find in a lot of places when you ask for rare. The bar staff had an excellent knowledge of the wines which was also good to see and helpful. It was very busy so there was a good atmosphere, would definatly reccomend a visit any time of the week, great food, great staff = great evening, but as stated on their website if going on the monday night I would reccomend booking.Thank you spring inn !
Back on the map!
My wife, daughter and I had Sunday lunch here on the 3rd March and have to say that it is great to see the spring in back as a great restaurant. We all had the roast, wife had the beef and my daughter and I had the chicken and it was great to see a mini roast option for the little one.
All of them were very nice and portion sizes are very good. My daughter ate hers and then wanted to start on both mine and the wife's which is a great sign of a good meal as she can be the hardest critic :-)
We as a family will definitely return and will spread the word about this great pub and restaurant.
Dessert menu very good and can thoroughly advise on the white chocolate and bailey's cheesecake (OMG!)
We visited The Spring Inn for Mothers Day and it was the 1st time we've been. The staff were all very friendly and helpful and the food was really tasty. The only critisism would be that the mains could've been hotter but overall we thought it was great
The Spring Inn floor plan
The Spring Inn floor plan is spacious, but with a cosy feel too. Friendly, helpful staff. We went on a Sunday so roasts were the main focus of the menu. Meat was supposedly pink but a little over, though it was flavourful and of good quality. Great 'rural' location, but easily accessible along A4. We will go back to sample their full menu.
Nice setting.. Great food.. Amazing price on a Monday
Food and service were excellent. Every one in our party enjoyed their meal. Will return again soon.
Made a late booking for Sunday Lunch and was surprised to get a table so easily. Had a nice friendly greeting when we arrived and were shown to our table. Although the restaurant was busy we were served quickly. Our food arrived quickly as well. We both had Roast Pork which was nicely presented and tasted even better.
Would definitely recommend eating at The Spring
