Harvey Nichols Fifth Floor
Harvey Nichols Fifth Floor Restaurant: great food and service
In the Sloane Street shopping
In the Sloane Street shopping block, this is by far the best place to eat a decent value priced meal. There are other fancier places around the block but this place has enough room between the tables for your shopping bags.
Harvey Nichols Fifth Floor
Harvey Nichols Fifth Floor restaurant is always a pleasant surprise. the service they offer i cannot find a fault..!
Meal is excellent quality. We didnt all go for the offer so we got to sample different parts of the menu and it was all perfect.
Really fantastic. I thought
Really fantastic. I thought i'd booked the open spaced cafe but this was so much better. There's a menu for 2 courses at £20 which is superb value for money. Food and staff excellent. Thankyou!
Harvey nichols was perfect
Harvey nichols was perfect yet again. it was a birthday dinner well serve and the quality was exceptuonal..
The food was superb, service
The food was superb, service outstanding and great value for money. Would recommend
Decent food, service a bit off
Ate here the other night, wasn't bad, food was a little overpriced perhaps and the atmosphere was lacking as it was relatively early in the evening. Service was a little confused, with a few different staffers trying to help out at different times.
We went for Thanksgiving evening menu as they were one of the few London restaurants offering this. We were very happy with everything including a fabulous pecan pie that was to die for.
Visitors from the US
The restaurant was recommend to me and I was not disappointed. My fiance (she is now) said that the White Truffle, Leek and Pumpkin Ravioli was the best she had ever had, and the Bloody Mary was as good as it gets!
Lovely start for Christmas
I went with my son for a lunch after shopping in Harrods next door.
Lovely start for Christmas, we both enjoyed the food, the service and ambiance.
Good ambiance and nice food
Very nice & cosy atmosphere tugged away from the bustling of Harvey Nic market. Food (steak) was decent. Although steak doesnt come with sides so have to order extra. For the price we paid it should have included some sides.
booked this as a girlie lunch. very attentive staff, good fun atmosphere. really lovely looking restaurant, so christmasy.
the food was very good with a variety of choice for both meat lovers and vegetarians and fairly priced. will definitely return.
Divine Crab lasagne
My friend and I went for lunch on the weekend and were so impressed with the divine crab lasagne that we ordered an extra portion. Had to skip desserts but it was worth it!. We loved the seasonal/Scandi look decor! I would like more starter choices if possible. I would come back any time for that lasagne
Wonderful afternoon tea!
The quality of the afternoon tea we had at Harvey Nics rivals any of the more traditional hotel establishments. Delightfully presented under the 'Viva forever' spice girls theme we were taken care of for several hours one Sunday afternoon with as many of the delicious sandwiches, tea and mini cakes that we could reasonably fit in. Would absolutely recommend this to anyone looking for a fun afternoon out with friends and/or family.
Good set menu
Really enjoyed the set menu and seasonal theming. However the wagu burger wasn't great, had better tasting non wagu mince from a supermarket and certainly not wagu from my experience...
Fun place to eat lunch while shopping in the area
A most enjoyable setting and the food was excellent, £40 with a glass of own champagne. Value maybe could be better but its a small but, other than that the service and food were great. I'd recommend
The service was excellent & waitresses were very attentive. I would certainly make a point of going there again.
A romantic country dream
One always looks forward to gastronomic trip in our favourite spaceship. The spaceship, on this evening however, had been transformed to a delightful country barn with the stewards dressed up as country squires down to elbow-patched tweed coats and ascots. The food was delightful, risotto and truffles was a sure hit. Looked forward to rabbit, but was pacified with the veal.
very nice place to stay,
This is a very trendy and successful place where to spend your time. Nice people, very good service, good food, but probably necessary a review of the wine list.
We have spent 3 hours with a background of nice live music, in a very romantic mood.
This was my first time to the 5th floor at Harvey Nic's - don't know what took me so long to go there! Food, service and ambience were all excellent. We had the Viva Forever 3-course set menu with Champagne Cocktail for £30, which was excellent. I asked to substitute a dessert for one from the a la carte menu, which they did with no problem (NB. the Doughnuts with Salted Caramel dip were divine!). Already planning my next trip back, highly recommend.
We had a lovely afternoon tea at Fifth Floor, Harvey Nichols. The staff couldn't have been more pleasant and the food was delicious. I would definitely return.
Other diners spoiled the experience
My husband and I had a lovely lunch here - a very welcome diversion from our shopping spree. The food was good but unfortunately there was a group of 10 people at a table on the other side of the room who had clearly been drinking a fair bit and were very loud. The hard surface of the curved ceiling did nothing to dampen the sound and it was actually quite difficult for my husband and I to carry on a discussion over the noise of the other diners. Perhaps we were just unlucky on the day. It was not apparent that the restaurant staff noticed or were prepared to do anything about the inconvenience to the other customers.
A group of us went to celebrate a friends birthday. The first think that strikes you is the enchanting decor of the restaurant. lined with blossom walking out of the already lavish 5th floor bar into this is a great start to any evening. The seasons menu is a really good concept, and well priced to add to this the staff are really receptive and added to the whole experience.
The food did not disappoint either following on from our experience so far. All the ingredients oozed with flavour and some bold combinations bring out the best in the restaurants name. My only quarrel was the ambience being in a large group it was ok but with only a few other diners in (Tuesday) it could get a bit agoraphobic. But don't let it put you of give it a go.
Springtime at Fifth Floor
Hadn't been to Fifth Floor Harvey Nicholls for a year or 2 so was surprised to see it had been revamped. We started in the bar (has to be done, doesn't it?) and enjoyed a bellini cocktail on a very comfortable chaise longue. Then to the restaurant, all light and airy with a very floral theme. Food was delicious with an interesting menu and the service was attentive without being intrusive. Also, being able to book a table last-minute on the toptable website, when I really was last minute, worked perfectly
Afternoon tea with The Great Gatsby
I had a friend visiting from Canada so I wanted somewhere special to take her for afternoon tea. Harvey Nichols theme their afternoon tea and change it every couple of months. The new theme is 'The Great Gatsby'. It was beautifully done. Every little detail had been though out and the atmosphere was lovely with 1920's music playing in the background. The waiting staff couldn't have been nicer or more attentive and pleasant. The food was spectacular! It's a gorgeous menu and a very memorable experience. Highly recommend.
30 quid offer is decent
I took the 30 quid - 3 course + cocktail offer. Starters and mains were decent, dessert was good, but you only get 9 dishes to chose from (3 each for each course). Not sure how good the regular menu was as we didn't see it.
The lunch menu surprisingly
The lunch menu surprisingly affordable and pretty good value for money. Wines superb as was service. We had a lovely afternoon with friends to celebrate a little, and it did feel special. I only wish other patrons would think it as special and not turn up scruffy and eat their burgers with coats on! I wonder if the staff could gently do something about it.
Perfect Sunday lunch
Had high expectations of Season, Harvey Nics new restaurant - I was not disappointed. We kicked started our lunch with beautiful summer cocktails, which were refreshing and perfect for the summer heat. For starter I opted for a mackeral veloute and caviar, the way it was presented was amazing and the flavours blended so well. For the mains I had cod, which just melted in my mouth, my partner had the seabream and saffron rice, which was equally esquisite in texture and flavour. Beautiful!
The restaurant was decorated with summer trees, which was interesting, but worked well and made the room have a fresh feel. The staff were great too. Highly recommend!
Harvey Nichols has the cachet, a decent venue and an excellent French lady manager. But some of the food is not of a standard that you would find on HN's own shelves.
The wines are excellent.
Service is friendly but not classy; the UK problem, we do not respect the profession sufficiently.
They brought back table cloths!
Having lost the charm and visual uniqueness with the brown beige make over...probably a few changes in the kitchen team...they may finally be on their way back... Getting rid of the over priced boring menus amongst some "can't be bothered" set menus with what seemed like every online website...of the last year ....with something more reasonable and different..
Had octopus & soft shell crab to start! Yum...
Great after shopping ... Staff friendly and prompts...
When I complained about the stingy portion of deliciously creamy coconut ice cream, another was presented!
Not bad... Good to see some niceness back!
