The food was lovely and the service excellent that's why I go back
Just fantastic food at excellent prices. Spanish tapas at it's best. Look forward to going again and again.
Without doubt the best Tapas in Glasgow . The outstanding food is only surpassed by the fantastic service .Give yourselves a treat and visit here ASAP
Had a really good meal here with my wife for our anniversary. Had passed the restaurant on numerous occasions but never realised I was passing a wee gem of a place. Spanish tapas as it should be. Will be back
Continues to provide the best taps experience in Glasgow! Glad to see its popularity increasing!
Lovely, local, family friendly
Lovely, local, family friendly restaurant. Tapas is an ideal way to eat with friends or family. Our kids love it, and are always made extremely welcome by the owners. Great service whether there are 2 or 22 of you. And the food is fab too! We will definitely be back again...and again.
Worth the trip...
Came over from the east coast & it was worth the trip, the service was excellent & the quality of the dishes were amazing.
I'd recommend the fish which was cooked perfectly & just melted in your mouth, but overall everything was fantastic.
We got an extra treat later in with some traditional Spanish songs from a wonderful singer...
Tasty Spanish feast
Hidden away in Glasgow's south side is an authentic Spanish restaurant. Good selection of tapas & enticing specials too. The staff speak Spanish which adds to the atmosphere & they are really friendly. The paella is huge. You're able to take the rest home with you which is a great idea. Would definitely return to try other dishes.
Delicious meal lively atmosphere
This was our first night out in ages. The food was delicious as was the house red. The waitress was helpful and pleasant. Despite the restaurant being full we were not hurried and had a very relaxing evening over three hours. We were served a complimentary appetiser while we chose our food. We were asked if we would mind changing table for dessert as we were a couple sitting at a table for four and a group had been waiting for a while. This was no problem and we were then served a complimentary liqueur and coffee. We'll definitely be back, probably to hear the live Spanish music on a Friday evening.
Great food and atmosphere
We liked the ambience, decor and especially the food at Malaga Tapas.
The singer added something to our evening, but we would have preferred the volume to have been turned down a little.
We would go back.
Very nice indeed!
Chose the restaurant based on reviews found online and not disappointed at all. A fairly quiet Thursday night, but still a pretty good atmosphere with very attentive service and excellent food. Would recommend to anyone!
Another great night at Malaga tapas
2nd visit to Malaga tapas and another amazing dinner! In a party of 6 celebrating a birthday, great atmosphere service and most importantly food!! Definitely in our top 5 places in glasgow!
This was our second visit
This was our second visit and we were not disappointed. There was plenty choice and everything was delicious.
Would recommend this friendly restaurant.
A bit of spain in Glasgow
very good Spanish restaurant, excellent service, friendly staff, had a very good evening
I cannot recommend Malaga Tapas highly enough, the food is fantastic, the service is great and the resteraunt it's self is lovely.
The lunch and pre theartre menu is great value for money.
I was there on Saturday night with my partner and another couple and for 14 tapas, 2 puddings & drinks we were less than a £100.
The meal was one of the best I've ever had.
It was so good that we went back for the lunch menu the next day!
A family dinner at Malaga Tapas
Great atmosphere, lovely food and very friendly and helpful staff. Had a great meal with family. Although restaurant was full the staff were totally on top of the service and the food came without any delay and was delicious. Would recommend.
Wonderful evening out!!
Decided to try a restaurant that we had never been to before and it was fabulous. Staff attentive all evening at just the right times, helpful suggestions, good understanding of the "specials board"..
Music was good, ambience perfect, wine good so am definitely coming back and will bring our friends. We were allowed to pick our table which was good as space is a bit tight but would not put me off at all.
Thank you for making our evening out so enjoyable...
Couldn't fault it!
This was our third time dining at Malaga and it was amazing as always. Couldn't fault the food or the service.
Just amazing! Staff, food, atmosphere, even prices. We will come back, that's for sure :)
Outdid our expectations, great food for fantastic value. Excellent service. Will definately be going back it's well worth a visit, best tapas we've had in Glasgow.
Excellent, authentic, simple Spanish tapas. Don't be put off by the unassuming exterior. The staff are very welcoming and the food is simply excellent, and good value. Even at 6pm it was busy, and by 8pm it was clear that this was a very popular venue, and no wonder.
Great Spanish dining!
We were here with a group of 10 men. Found this restaurant on tripadvisor and based on the reviews I booked it. We were not disappointed!!! The staff was very friendly en the food was great! They gave us a little bite on the house, and after dinner a little Spanish drink on the house too! Overall the food, service and friendliness was superb!
The restaurant itself was
The restaurant itself was very authentic and made you feel that you were actually dining in Spain. The food was stunning and the service was first-class. I will definitely eat there again.
My favourite Tapas in Glasgow. Went for the vegetable paella as a main dish this time and was not disaapointed. Large portion even for 2. Friends had lots of different tapas and were impressed with the quality. I did not have room for desert but can recommend the Creme Catalan! Service friendly and efficient. Will be returning soon A+++++
A wee peice of Spain in Glasgow. Superb authentic food (better Pealla than any I have ever had in Sapin!)
Small but good quality wine list at sesnible prices. Lovely staff (European style, in that, although there was only two, they serviced a full restaurant that would require half a dozen UK waiters).
Our party was five people. We had a huge number of tapas, a paella, sweets, 5 bottles of wine etc etc - bill was less than £40 a head.
Do not be put off by the rather run down exterior. They clearly do not rely on passing trade, but on recomendation and reviews. Very very good.
Go for it
Outstanding in every way - food, service, ambiance, and value. Easily comparable in food quality to tapas restaurants in Spain albeit not in number of dishes available.
This ones a winner!
It was not only a lovely meal but it has a deightful atmosphere and the added bonus is that of a singer on a friday night It was a great experience. One which we shall definately endeavour to repeat.
First time, won't be the last
Wanted to go for a while nd got a chance on Saturday. Well worth it. So much to choose from and all v v good. Staff are very nice, polite and friendy. Best tapas in Glasgow by a mile and a new favourite
Fab food and friendly service
Fab food and friendly service are key to Malaga Tapas. Nothing is too much trouble :)
I really enjoyed my evening at Malaga Tapas. Form the minute we walked in we were looked after. Our order was taken efficiently and the food was served promptly. I also enjoyed the Spanish singer which gave a real sense of being abroad. I most definitely will return. I have also recommended to others.
Had Dinner on Sunday with our daughter and grand daughters and we had a fantastic evening. First class food and service and great value for money
A real find
We arrived a bit late for lunch but were not made to feel this was at all inconvenient.
Food was absolutely delicious, staff very welcoming, nice informal atmosphere.
Will definitely be back!
The food is always fresh to
The food is always fresh to your table and very filling.
Little bit of Spain in Glasgow
Go when there are deals on
Food is fantastic but tapas portions are smaller than some other tapas restaurants. If you pay full price, it'll be expensive if you want to avoid a chippy on the way home :) recommend 5 dishes per person. Staff are v helpful and friendly and food hot and tasty
As good as advertised!
Food and staff were excellent. Will gladly return.
Malaga Tapas is a little gem
Malaga Tapas is a little gem of a place. Outstanding value for money and the food was great. Really lovely atmosphere and the staff were very attentive and friendly. Will definatly be going back now that I've found it.
Only thing was, I booked through top table but Malaga Tapas had no record of this, but they still took us no bother so all was fine.
A taste of Southern Spain
A short walk from Shields subway station and a pleasant evening sampling the chef's choices with a set menu for 2 which we found good for the two of us and our 15 year old son with top ups. The staff gave us an excellent introduction to the various items on the menu and the write up on the historical recipes from Andalusia were really interesting.
excellent place to eat
Had a great meal. Chatted to several employees and food was amazing. Will definately return
A friend recommended this restaurant. It's not near where we live, but she raved about it, so 4 of us made the trek. It was worth it. We had 3 dishes each - I can only vouch for the vegetarian ones: patatas bravas, paella, roasted vegetables and mushrooms. All delicious and the meat / fish eaters said the same. A very reasonable Rioja washed it all down. A couple of quibbles prevent it from being 5 stars all round. We went on a Saturday night and it was very busy (definitely book), which meant that service was a little slow at first - but hey, we had the whole evening so it didn't matter too much. Also, the tables are packed very close together and the chairs are very upright so it was a bit uncomfortable. But we'll definitely go back.
