we were a group of 3 and went for the 3 course 'mas meal with wine and petit foie for 31pp. The turkey and lamb were very well cooked. The desserts were fabulous. The ambiance was good.
Always high quality
Great quality food and very attentive service in a sumptuous location. Good value with the TT deal, but few guests meant that the ambience was rather lacking. That said, this is always a super place to visit and I have no hesitation in recommending it.
Lovely meal and good value
Lovely meal and good value with the toptable deal. The staff were very accommodating - we arrived very early and without one of our party but there was no problem in letting us have our table early.
In a museum-like neo classical setting, Homage at the Waldorf serves beautifully cooked food with friendly well-informed service, Wild boar pate starter followed by herb crusted lamb as main course was beautifully cooked and delicious, while sound advice on the content of nuts in the dessert was appreciated! May be not as festive as I would have liked for a Christmas meal with friends, but the quality was such that I would definitely recommend,
Great evening out
Excellent value, great food and a special ambience.
We had the most fabulous time. The deal was remarkable and the food and service was first class. Will definitely go again.
I invited my close friends to join in my birthday celebratation. I could not have chosen a better location. The food was outstanding and the service was extremely professional. Fantastic restaurant.
Lovely Post Christmas Treat
Went to Homage at the Wardorf for pre theatre dinner. Food was good, ambience great and service excellent, really nice treat.
Pre theatre dinner
The restaurant and bar was welcoming - waiters were polite and attentive without being intrusive. We chose from the set menu and the foo was delicious. We had to rush our desert, our fault for not allowing enough time before leaving for the theatre, but the waitr was brilliant, serving us quickly and settling the bill fast, The doorman outside also got us a cab to get us to the theatre on time! excellent service all around!
I've eaten at the Waldorf on many occasions and can thoroughly recommend it for service and value for money
New Years Eve at the Wardolph
First time at this restaurant... very impressive surroundings and overall difficult to fault. Given it was New Years Eve it was very expensive and difficult to find a bottle of wine under £70...
Reminded us both of the Palm Room at the Ritz, excellent for a special occassion
Enjoyable way to spend New Year
We booked quite last minute for New Year so were pleased to be able to get a table in a nice hotel. Overall the evening was very pleasant. I had the vegetarian menu, which was nice but most courses were quite sweet, which isn't really to my taste. My partner had the main NY menu which he said was very good; it was well cooked and a varied menu. The band that played throughout the evening added the spark!
Great food but disorganised staff
Really good food & good choice from the set menu. Staff were in a flap as they didn't have our booking. Had to wait -5 mins to get served and the table next to us arrived after us but got served first. Staff were a bit dopey but food was top
We used a special offer from Top Table to book a pre theatre dinner at The Waldorf. Our first time there and what a grand place it is! Food was excellent, especially given the price and staff could not have been more friendly and helpful ensuring we were served quickly and safely on our way to the theatre in plenty of time.
Enjoyable Dining experience
My friend and I enjoyed our dining experience at Homage. The service was attentive, the food excellent. Outstanding value. We had 3 courses and a glass of Prosecco for £26.00.
Would thoroughly recommend Homage. We went to see Top Hat which was at the Aldwych theatre literally right next door.
It was a decent eat - they had music in the other room playing quite loudly, but also we sat down very late, so that should be accounted for (our fault).. However the service was wonderful and the soup - amazing.
Dining in Style
To begin with I was not that impressed with the set menu but when we ate it, I could not have been more impressed. I would highly recommend the lamb. The service was perfect and the staff were so friendly. We ate with friends and they loved the high ceilings and the style of the dinning room.
Have dined here many times now on this meal deal which is excellent value for money. Staff are very helpful and were very happy to help with a starter that was not on the menu as we were not happy with the starters on the menu!!!! Food was excellent and there was plenty of it. Ambiance is good here and it is such a beautiful room to eat in you feel special and spoiled. Enjoyed it very much and highly recommend.
Good for Pre/Post Theatre
I took my mum to see "Top Hat" at the Aldwych Theatre and was delighted to find that the Waldorf next door offered a special deal on three courses with a glass of prosecco for £26. We arrived just before 6pm and were one of the first but the restaurant was full by the time we left. I had lemon chicken and my mum had the lamb. We both enjoyed the experience and would certainly recommend this restaurant, especially as it is so close to many theatres.
Our evening at the Homage
Our evening at the Homage was very good. The menu choice was varied and they catered to our gluten free guest with no fuss. The service was a little chaotic though....but it was a Friday evening. The food tasted delicious and it was a pleasant ambience. A good place to impress your guests!
Will be back.
When we arrived on a wet Sunday evening the reception was left unattended and we waited some time to get seated. However, once seated, the service was very pleasant and most efficient. The food was absolutely outstanding and excellent value. The champagne cocktails and the house wine were a great choice. We will certainly be back for future occasions.
Great food great service!
We got a 3 course meal deal. Lots of good choices. Tasty food great food!
Dinner at Homage
We had dinner last week and it was fine. We were staying in the hotel so it was convenient, and it is a lovely place. The deal on the menu was good value, but the choice was quite limited - and of course, that is what you expect on those deals. they were very flexible with the wine - the deal included prosecco, and I had red instead. Service was a little slow, but we were in a quiet corner and in no hurry. Watch out for the left hand wall tables - there's a ballroom behind and it was cold
Old world wonder
If you want a delicious meal in a wonderful old-world ambience where you can hear one another speak, this is the place to go. Ask for the special menu, which is usually on offer, and you won't need to spend a fortune either.
feasting at the Homage
really enjoyed meeting up with a long lost cousin for dinner at the Homage. The top table deal was good value.
The ambience in the restaurant was relaxed but felt special and the food was tasty and enjoyable. This was our second visit and standards are still high
A fabulous evening!
I visited with 3 friends after a matinee performance of Top Hat next-door! The service was exemplary - from the initial welcome through to the waiting staff - we certainly weren't made to feel that we were on a 'discounted option'. There was a good range of choice on the TopTable £26 menu and the glass of prosecco was lovely. The food tasted very good and was beautifully presented. We had the guinea fowl which was delicious. Our lovely waiter even had Happy Birthday iced on my dessert plate when he overheard it was a special occasion! The decor and ambience were super and we couldn't fault the dining experience.
60th birthday ideal
all went well, service a bit slow, but on the other hand we had plenty of time, food excellent, good place to take your partner/family for special treat, no hidden extras
Outstanding value. Good service, good food and reaonable bill. Perfect pre-theatre.
Gluten Free options
Brillant options for people with allergies/intolerances
BEST OF BRITISH
WE TOOK SOME AUSTRALIAN FRIENDS FOR A MEAL AT THE WALDORF HILTON. WE ARRIVED EARLY AND HAD A DRINK IN THE FOYER BEFORE GOING IN FOR OUR MEAL.THE HOMAGE IS A VERY ELEGANT RESTAURANT. WE HAD BOOKED A 3 COURSE MEAL WITH A GLASS OF WINE FOR £32, THIS WAS AN AMAZING OFFER. THE FOOD WAS SUPERB AND EVEN THOUGH THE RESTAURANT WAS BUSY THE SERVICE WAS EXCELLENT. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THE HOMAGE FOR ANY OCCASION. I KNOW WHERE MY HUSBAND AND I WILL BE DINING THE NEXT TIME WE ARE IN TOWN TO SEE A SHOW.
Treated us really well
We had the toptable offer set 3 course with a glass of prosecco. Which was lovely. Good timings in between we were in a hurry for pre-theatre and there was no problem.
We had a great time.It was
We had a great time.It was a dinner surprise treat for my boyfriend's birthday. We both loved the stylish salon ambience, the wine was excellent and the waiter fantastic! Will try and come again! [:
The three of us enjoyed all
The three of us enjoyed all our three courses-limited choice unless you wished to pay extra but quite adequate. The food was very tasty and well cooked and presented.
Its the waldorf
Went for an impromptu meal at the weekend with friends. Ambiance and service excellent. Food was mediocre. Price was over average.
Excellent value and service
We took my elderly parents to London to celebrate their 70th Wedding Anniversay. Dinner was a brilliant end to a great day of events that took them down memory lane. We all enjoyed our choices and the service was impeccable. A special celebration cake was a lovely touch.
going to top hat
We booked this restaurant as we were going to the theater, virtually next door. vbery busy with lots of pre- theater diners. Not a bright and cheerful ambience. Probably due for a makeover. Air conditioning aggressive, we requested it was turned down. It was. Food service prompt, All courses v.good. Would go again if going to a theater nearby.
Special Dinner occasion
Delightful sophisticated restaurant within the Waldorf hotel in Aldwych. It was my fiftieth. We met for cocktails (expensive!) in the wonderful Good Godfreys and went on to the Homage next door. All six of us enjoyed what we had ordered. HOWEVER our waitress obviously didn't examine my booking very well because we were given the a la carte menu instead of the special offer limited menu. It delayed our ordering by about twenty minutes, no big problem. Will come again.
Very lovely night out
Me and my friend booked here at last minute and we had a great dinner out. The staff are friendly and food are great. We had a three course with a glass of wine for £28, it was great value.
Booked the 3 courses and glass
Booked the 3 courses and glass of wine Toptable special with three friends on 3 October and it was excellent value for money. There was a good choice on the menu and the food was lovely. The staff were friendly and attentive and the restaurant itself has a lovely olde worlde granduer. Would definitely recommend.
Went there for dinner with
Went there for dinner with friends - outstanding and great service and food! We loved it!!!!!!
Great evening out!
We went to the Homage at the Hilton before popping next door to the Aldwych theatre to see Top Hat which was brilliant! Apart from being a lovely restaurant and situated right next door we had good service good wine good food and a friendly bill
Fantastic value in a nice setting with god value food
Wine list ok .. But lots of wines by the glass avalaible .. Excellent service, sat down at 6pm
all finished by 7.15 and didn't feel rushed
Defintley would return
One of my husbands presents for my birthday in September this year was a trip to London to see Top Hat at the Adelphi theatre with my two daughters and 9 year old grandaughter. We took the taxi from Euston straight to the Waldorf and had a light lunch and then after the matinee we returned for dinner (Pre booked) it was lovely the food was very good and the service superb. My granddaughter particularly enjoyed it and wants to return for her 10th birthday next year !
I can truly say we all had a very happy memory making day .
Dinner at The Waldorf
I was pleasantly surprised with the whole evening, as I had never eaten at The Waldorf, before. The service that we received was perfect - all the staff were helpful, polite, attentive and not bothersome. The food was AMAZING! It was delicious and a real bargain at £28 for a 3 courses and a glass of bubbly! The food was beautifully presented and cooked - and the portion sizes were perfect. I would highly recommend this Homage at The Waldorf, to anyone. You will not be disappointed.
I booked the restaurant for my farewell party with my friends. We had a very relaxing evening at The Waldrof Hilton. The foods weren't impressive but the restaurant was a pleasant place to sit down for a drink/afternoon tea.
Two friends and myself visited Homage to celebrate birthdays (1 friend and myself) and we had a most enjoyable evening. We opted for the special offer of 3 courses and glass of wine which was very good value for money. We ere well looked after by the waiting staff and we were given a complimentary special birthday desert from the chef which was a very nice touch. Dinner as usual was good and well presented.
Main was good but appetiser
Main was good but appetiser and dessert were not particularly good. Service and ambience was very good.
very nice place to dine
Very nice and grand building. Great location, a little pricey but expected. Food is great and service is attentive.
Lovely food. Most enjoyable
Lovely food. Most enjoyable meal - especially at Top Table rate. Full price is quite expensive.
Top marks for Homage at Waldorf!
Super dining experience at Homage! Fantastic value for fabulous food. Would recommend to anyone who enjoys good food in gorgeous surroundings. Top marks to toptable for this recommendation!
ok-ish food. Not good for allergies
Lovely room and ambiance, however they were not able to cater for my allergies and expected me to eat a dry piece of pork. The chef was not able to cook me a separate sauce or gravy which was highly disappointing and throroughly disgusting.
