I went there with all my friends, around ten of us.
The menu has great variety, we all had meat, the lamb and steaks were amazing.
As we went on a Saturday night, there were loads of people queuing up so
the manager let off a substantial amount from our bill if we didn't stay for desserts. We took it gladly of course as were going clubbing after.
Overall, good wines, good food and really great value!
The restaurant we always go to!
Yes it is honestly the restaurant we always go to when we get a special night out! Its a perfect place for both a romantic or group meal, which may seem contradictive but honestly it works for both. The service is attentive and friendly. The ambience is always welcoming and lively but not to the extent that its too loud. Its great when they have the piano player tinkling away in the back ground. I have introduced a number of friends and family to this restaurant and they always ask for me to rebook to the same place. All meals are gorgeous and so many to recommend but our fave is the 'steak et frites' but the HOUMOUS!! honestly its to die for and 'the must have' on anyones order!
You'll go again
A regular visitor, fit for any occasion whether birthday, romantic meal or quick bite before the theatre / comedy cub .
The set menu is outstanding value and the food is always very tasty. Great atmosphere and always buzzing with people - be sure to book to avoid queuing outside. Highly recommend.
Lovely place for dinner
A group of seven of us went here for a special dinner, and they didn't disappoint. Delicious food all round, and a lovely ambiance. Thank you!
Authentic Food in a Buzzy Atmospher
Great food, sensibly priced, a bit loud for good conversation, but an authentic taste of France in London.
Hardworking staff, great food
Hardworking staff, great food and lovely atmosphere. Delicious, Would recommend .
Six of us enjoyed steak fries.
Six of us enjoyed steak fries. Restaurant has a nice feel although we were 'told' to wait outside on arrival having booked a table as it was not ready. This was not the best of starts! Once we were seated the service improved but never exceeded expectation.
First rate french bistro.
First rate french bistro. great traditional bistro food with speedy, unobtrusive professional service. Ambiance appropriately warm, crowded and noisy for small french bistro. Excellent value set menus and good reasonable wine list. A new favourite in central London. We'll be regulars.
Quality food & good value
We only made our booking the day before as we wanted a nice meal before going on to a friends birthday celebration, so we took a chance on Pierre Victoire as it was close by. What we found was a lovely, cosy & friendly bistro. The staff were attentive and friendly and the food was of the best quality - a good choice and great value. The presentation was excellent and, most important, tasted wonderful. We will certainly visit again when we are next in London. We would highly recommend this restaurant for anyone going to the theatres in the area.
It's the 3rd time that I went to this restaurant and I always leave full and happy. Good food and good wine. Thanks
Good food but lacks a good service
Good food at a good price. Service is getting worse and it was not even busy. Waitress was oblivious to my booking on toptable. Asking for the bill was painfully slow as one waitress was to busy talking to her friends as her friends were sitting on the table next to us. Totally unprofessional. hope they train up their staff to be more professional. But the food was good.
Great food for a great price
This is a great little place, with every dish having a unique taste and sauces to die for. So good in fact that my family and I went there on two consecutive nights and were delighted with every dish.
Good pre-theatre at Pierre Victoire
Knowing we only had little over an hour for dinner before a show, we selected Pierre Victoire based on the menu and the previous ratings. Both turned out to be a good basis for our choice and I would happily return. The wine by the carafe was handy for wanting to share some wine, but not a whole bottle, and the ala carte menu was well prices (and the special priced menu looked even better).
Great food and nice atmosphere.
I been on the restaurant several times before, but mainly for lunch. I think the food is slightly better on the ala carte menu. My partner said that it was the best food he been eating on the restaurant (he took the duck with 5 spice sauce). I had the sea bass that was good but a bit boring with the flavours. But great food and reasonable priced. Will absolutely come back again.
The atmosphere is very nice and the bread you get before the dinner is soo fresh. The only down is that it easily get a bit noisy. Especially in the basement.
Delicious food as always!
I have been to Pierre Victoire five times now and have never been disappointed! This is now my restuarant of choice for the West End area.
The two course offer is fantastic value and the food options are lovely.
Went for the fishcake to start and then the chicken salad. My friend has the veal which was gorgeous.
Would thoroughly reccommend!
Good food, price, and atmosphere
We got there at 6:00 pm however, by 7.30 - 8:00 the restuarant was really busy and very lively atmosphere. The food quality was good for a set menu.
Would definitely go back
Had a nice time... Food was tasty, but seating was a little crowded.
Great value in Central London
Excellent food and service. Three courses plus wine and coffee for £35 in Central London represents superb value.
HAs improved a lot
I use to go to Pierre Victoir many years ago but stopped as the palce went down hill. However having been recently and enjoyed i would most defintiely be going again. much more choice on the menu and the food is far better
A very pleasant and relaxed
A very pleasant and relaxed atmosphere , I would recommend sitting upstairs. The pre-theatre menu was superb value for money. The food was very tasty and the portion sizes were generous. We were pleased to be able to buy wine by carafe rather than by the bottle or glass.
fantastic food at a good price
I have been to Pierre Victoire a few times now and have not been disapointed yet. The menu has a lot of choice, the lunch deal is good value and always tastes good. I love the fact that the lunch deal options change on a regular basis.
The only reason I have not given the service 4 stars is because if you go in a large group you do have to wait quite some time to get your food.
I'm always recommending this place to friends and colleagues!
Great romantic restaurant
I took my girlfriend here on a date and now she loves me even more.
Beautifully atmospheric restaurant
I have been to this restaurant on a number of occasions and I have always been impressed with the quality of the service. The menu is extensive and the portion sizes are just right. I enjoy the atmosphere of the restaurant and the dynamic between the staff is always positive. Highly recommended!
Pierre Victoire is one of
Pierre Victoire is one of my favourite restaurants which I have visited many times over recent years. The staff are unfailingly friendly as well as being efficient, the menu is changed regularly and always provides a wide choice of delicious food. A very good wine list and a bill that represents excellent value for superb food.
You really couldn't ask for more from a restaurant for all occasions.
Great food, particularly love
Great food, particularly love the foie gras and the scallops as starters. We booked the table at odd hours but there were still seats available.
Great little place
I've been here a few times and each time, without fail, the food, the place, the service is exceptional. It's also really great value. I've never been in when it hasn't been fully packed out. Recommended.
Changed my booking to half hour later than planned and the restaurant was extremely accommodating. When we arrived, every table was taken but although they were busy, service was very quick and friendly. The food was outstanding (I particularly recommend the duck) and we are already planning our next visit.
Ps. The bread was the best I've ever eaten and worth a second visit in its own merit!
superb find in soho
Quality of food, ambience and service were all superb. Opted for the scallops for starter, melt in mouth texture. Steak as main which were equally fantastic. Will definitely be returning
Pre-theatre Menu Excellent Value
We took my parents here for a pre-theatre meal. My dad can be quite fussy and is generally a bit shocked by London prices but Pierre Victoire was the perfect choice. Beautiful food at an excellent price. The a la carte was also well priced, given the location it was very reasonable. Will definitely be back for more.
This was the second time we've
This was the second time we've eaten at Pierre Victoire on Dean Street. The restaurant has a lovely relaxed and friendly ambience. The staff were brilliant on the night we dined. They even gave us our bottle of wine on the house as we agreed to move tables in order to accommodate some other diners. We really didn't mind moving but the restaurant's kind gesture was much appreciated nevertheless. All in all Pierre Victoire is great little restaurant and one we hope to go back to again and again when we're in London. It's even better when the piano player is in the house. The only thing we would advise is to eat upstairs as the downstairs isn't quite so nice in our opinion.
Pierre Victoire - Probably my fave!
I must have eaten here 20 times and it's consistently good food and very good value. Always busy at lunchtime so I recommend booking or getting there by 12.30pm if you don't have a booking. They offer a set menu and a choice of 2 or 3 courses. There are usually 5 or 6 choices of starter, main and dessert and some items have an additional charge.
You always get some lovely French bread and butter (which I can never resist from demolishing!)
Also good for veggies even though it's French!
Great Restaaurnt -worth a visit
We were recommended to this restaurant and had a great meal more option on the menu to try another time. We had Mussels and fish mousse both excellent followed by Veal and sausage& mash again excellent. The only thing that has put me off is the service was rushed. We dined early about 17:00, only once we had finished our first course, literally as one waitress picked those plates, another put the main course down - much too quick, we then felt they were waiting for us to leave I appreciate the table is used a couple of times an evening but this felt as we were being pushed out, we were out the door before 18:00. We will consider a re-visit as the menu and food were so very good. But hope to get another waiter
An old friend
Just the most wonderful evening.
The service was friendly and straightforward - nothing fancy and still sincere. Great Malbec - really delicious starters and main - we all had steak which was delicious, my scallops rocked for the starter and the cheese platter for dessert was actually pretty generous which was nice.
It amazes me how this tiny kitchen delivers such a vast range of meal options, accurately, with speed and all deliciously prepared and presented. On this occasion I took along 2 girlfriends, both had visited once previously a time ago.The menu offers a wide choice but I could not be tempted to stray from the pressed shin of lamb for my main course which I had enjoyed so much a few weeks earlier. Served with an aubergine puree it was again succulent lean and every mouthful was to savour. I recommended it to one of my fellow diners and she too enjoyed it so much.My only criticism are the loos downstairs, modern and up to date sanitary ware but they could do with checking through the evening for a general tidy up and mop of the floor.
Buzzy, convivial atmosphere
Great menu, busy, authentic French atmosphere, service good-French servers. Would definitely go back.
Food was great but as for the service...... booked many days before for 6 people and we were stuffed into a corner, we were eventually moved to a bigger table but not before more clients had arrived and given tables. Someone needs to be tought how to run a busy restaurant.
Excellent as always
Great service, food and all round experience. Really good value and really treated our group well.
Best kept secret in Soho
We just love Pierre Victoire esp on a saturday night . It is really lively, fantastic food, brillant value, great staff. What else could you want????
What a find
We loved Pierre Victoire and would highly recommend it. The ambience was warm, friendly and easy. The staff were super - couldn't do enough for us. Well done!
Trying something New
We ate here after the theatre on a Saturday evening. It's always a risk trying somewhere new, especially when the reviews seem too good to be true but we weren't disappointed. The menu was interesting and varied and the service excellent. There were even some wines we could afford. One small niggle was that the mussels were little gritty. All in all this is a find and we'll be back.
I would not say the food is
I would not say the food is 100% French but it's good and the decor is nice
Great service and food
As always, you can trust Pierre Victoire to provide a very good meal with a friendly service. The wine list is also good and well priced.
Attentive staff, good wine list, great atmosphere and most inportantly, amazing food. Generous portions. Good value for central London and for the quality of food- you won't come away hungry! Overall it's easily 5 stars and we'll be back soon and recommend to family and friends.
Fantastic French Food
I've been to Pierre Victoire a number of times but hadn't been for a couple of years before last Friday. Their booking system always works. I've never had to wait for a table that I've already pre-ordered. The atmosphere is fantastic and so pretty with the candlelights.
The food is as usual so tasty and great value. And the complimentary bread is so addictive.
All 8 of us had fun
We had dinner at Pierre Victoire last Saturday and ordered very different dishes - some duck, some steak, pork belly etc. The portions were just right and the food was delicious. We also loved the Chilean Carmenere which complemented most of our mains. The presentation of the dishes was equally lovely and we left very happy. Can only recommend!
Great food, awesome atmosphere
This place was a delight. The food was excellent for the price- I live in Bristol and this wasn't any more expensive than restaurants outside of London, but the quality was that which you'd expect to pay a lot more for, because you're in London.
The waiters were all friendly and attentive. Everyone was enjoying themselves, the atmosphere was overwhelmingly positive. The small size of the place helped with its romantic feel.
The only negative thing to say was that I asked for my steak medium-rare, and my wife asked for her tuna to be the same, and both were at least medium. And given that it's a French restaurant I expected their version of medium-rare to be my version of rare! But we didn't care because it was all damned delicious.
A little Soho gem
Pierre Victoire was a revelation. Just off Oxford Street, this little restaurant offers excellent food and good wines. We and our friends enjoyed a memorable meal, and will return.
Outstanding as usual
We've been having lunch there prity well since it opened and have always been very pleased with the welcoming, service, great food and variaty on the menu. This time we took our daughters for a pre-christmas shopping lunch which started our great day out.
The food was excellent and the atmosphere very good.Really enjoyable dinner.
Restaurant with a Buzz
The tables are packed quite tightly together so perhaps not so good if you are less able although the staff were very helpful. The Pre Theatre dining menu is good value. The choice is also good with a few different options to the common standards found at most restaurants. The food came pretty quickly, even though the restaurant was full, so all credit to the kitchen staff. The PicPoul white and the Carmenere red wines were excellent. Overall it is a good standard although they do seem to limit your stay to 1.5 hours so not a place to linger. Best probably to book and specify upstairs as the small downstairs where the kitchen and toilets are, does not have quite the same atmosphere.
