40th Birthday Chef's Dining room
Fabulous, glamourous evening in the uber glamourous Chef's Dining table - private room. Excellent food / service / ambience (set menu). Spent the the first part / last part of the evening in the bar / lounge areas - no complaints - gorgeous cocktails and great service. Staff were welcoming, friendly - no complaints at all. Would highly recommend this room for a private function. Couldn't fault the evening.
Great food and service
My girlfriend and I went to this restaurant after going to the ballet. We were eating quite late so there weren't many other people in the restaurant. Regardless, it had a great feel to it and we weren't pressured or rushed through our food. The service was great and friendly and the food was fantastic. It is pricey but definitely worth it. If you dining in the evening you can then move onto the bar or lounge (club) downstairs, which is nice.
Nearly all there
This restaurant has "got it going" - good food, great youngish team, comfortable upscale ambiance. One complaint, and something they must improve, was the wine list. Ordered a St Emilion and a Rioja. Both were well below average for the price - and nowhere near as good as the level of taste and preparation of the food. The wines were either massively overpriced or else whoever buys them has no taste. Get this right and it really will be a super place.
Mews of Mayfair gave us exceptional
Mews of Mayfair gave us exceptional service with great food and lovely drinks to go with!
Mews of Mayfair
It used to be quite expensive, but now they have also introduced some more affordable dishes such as fish n chips with mush peas for around £14.00, which was very good as the other dishes were. The wine is very expensive, I would say unnecessarily so. The house wine in my opinion was poor at £6.50 for a small glass. In this day and age there simply no need to serve bad wine.
Service was very good and the manager did take replace the wine with something better. The Somelier however was quite protective over the house wines.
New Look, Same Great Experience
Our first time back since they given the place a face-lift. Great food, attentive service and a vibe that makes you feel special enough that you might want to come back every week. And the cobbled courtyard is a real find in London!!
Good place to eat
Good food and efficient and plaesant service. Very convienent and not too expensive for so close to Oxford Street. Tables not too crammed together like some in the area gave a feeling of space and better service
A lovely Romantic evening!
Lovely venue, great food and good servoce .
Need I say more.
Cocktails available in trendy bar downstairs too.
I would recommend this restaurant highly to you.
Lovely Friday Lunch
I took a couple of new colleagues to Mews as a welcome meal and it did not disappoint. The restaurant has been re-styled slightly to be more informal than previously, with bare wood tables and eclectic table furnishings, yet it remains as delicious as ever and retains the excellent service.
Had a nice girlie dinner at Mews of Mayfair. Was pretty quiet for a Friday night, but it was early and most of the buzz was in the outdoor seating area. Nevertheless, it was a great experience, the fish and chips were lovely and the sticky toffee pudding for dessert was delicious!
Warm welcome, friendly staff,
Warm welcome, friendly staff, nice ambience, comfortable etc. We had an early booking (19.45) so place had not filled up but started to later. Service was friendly and good but tailed off when they got busier. We were already tired after a long day so did not stay more than about 90 mins. Only complaint was that our table was right next to the bar leading to a few bumps as waiters and other guests tried to pass.
Great seasonal food and lovely service. Booked for a friends birthday and they were great putting a candle in our desserts
Excellent Food and Service
I had an early supper with a girlfriend here mid-week and it was very enjoyable. The service was excellent and the hot smoked salmon salad, delicious. I would thoroughly recommend.
Can't wait to go back
I dined at Mews of Mayfair for lunch last week. I have eaten outside before in the charming alleyway, snuggled under kindly provided blankets and warmed by the outside heaters. I felt as though I was on holiday somewhere rather than only moments from the hustle and bustle of Oxford Street. Last week, we chose the restaurant upstairs. It's beautifully, and in places quirkily, decorated. The service was excellent and the food delicious (the portions were enormous!). I can't wait to go back.
Gorgeous restaurant. The ambience of the restaurant was very nice. Food was delicious and good quality.
Perfect for an evening date.
Service was brilliant! Would definitely recommend!
Mews of Mayfair
Excellent food and very good service, well worth a visit
Had a lovely evening with my girlfriends. The atmosphere was very nice and glamour. Food and service very good
An anniversary pleasant surprise
Was recommended by a friend and since it was pretty central and was a lady min booking for a Friday night dinner, decided to give it a shot for our first anniversary dinner. Upon arrival, there wasn't a need to wait and as it was pouring, they quickly ushered us in and have us our seats even though we were slightly early. Food was awesome, great trout recommendations. Loved the butternut squash soup! (Didn't think butternut could taste so heavenly) overall, the experience was fantastic and I'll definitely come back again!
I booked Mews of Mayfair for lunch with a colleague and it didn't fail to disappoint. Whilst I did have a soft spot for some of their more indulgent veggie options, the summer menu is delicious and light. Would definitely recommend.
Friendly and buzzing ambience.
Friendly and buzzing ambience. Tables for two a little too close together but food and service excellent. Trout cooked to perfection and the custard tart tasted like a custard tart ought to not like a creme brulee in a pastry case. Even the tiny chocolate brownies served with the coffee were top notch. Would definitely go again.
Love this restaurant
I have visited Mews before for lunch. The atmosphere for dinner in the restaurant was quite different. My starter of Halloumi was quite salty. The waiter responded really well and told the chef. My husband loved his sea bass. My steak was quite well done considering that i asked for medium to well. The service was great. I would definitely visit again!
Great Dining Experience!
We had a very nice birthday dinner at Mews of Mayfair. We had a lovely table in the upstairs dining room and our waiter was very attentive. I had contacted the restaurant in advance regarding my allergy to gluten and the waiter had several recommendations from the menu. We had the scallops from the starter menu as an entree, and they were awesome and the portion size was perfect. It was a great evening and a wonderful find in Mayfair!
A go to place
Very attractive venue, upmarket theme. Excellent food and service and very good value for money. I would certainly recommend it. A very a pleasant experience.
We love this place; amazing location (just off Bond Street, down a lovely cobbled alley way), beautiful bar and restaurant, lovely food and outstanding service. Highly recommend it.
We had booked previously and
We had booked previously and were very impressed so rebooked for our Wedding Anniversary, the staff were very attentive making it a great evening.
We were lucky! I guess. The service was as good as I would want; the food was well presented. the cost was as high as I could bear!!! The AMBIANCE was it, we enjoyed the whole experience.
We've had better meat, for less!
Great Business Lunch
Excellent food and location - hidden away on a quiet sunny mews between Bond St and Mayfair. Many thanks for the great service and prompt reservations, despite our booking right before lunch !
two visits, both good
Great location, very good service (friendly and prompt, not intrusive), very good ambience.
I have been for sunday lunch with friends and an evening with my parents. Parents (late 50s) especially thought it was great. Definitely works for a date or a business lunch.
Sunday roast was excellent. I had a fillet steak on 2nd visit which was disappointing (almost cold enough to send it back), but soup starter was great, and those with me were much more complimentary. Good wine list.
I would never rate a restaurant above 3 stars for value for money, especially one in this area of london. This place is relatively well priced all considering (£25 fillet steak - could do a LOT worse).
I'd recommend to anyone - and we'll likely go again.
Nice place for last night in London
My niece and my cousin and I were vacationing in London this past week and were looking for a special place for dinner for our last night there. Our taxi driver, Steve, highly recommended this place to us and we were glad he did. The staff were friendly and efficient, the food was excellent, and the atmosphere was just what we were looking for, cozy but lively.
So glad we had dinner here and would definitely come back next time I come to London.
Delicious food and lovely surroundings at Mews- I keep going back!
The salt baked Chicken is
The salt baked Chicken is divine...
I was advised to order the salt baked chicken by my bestie and it did not disappoint - totally divine and because there was way too much the staff tucked the left overs into a tidy little box for us to take away. This restaurant is tucked away in a delightful alley and I could quite happily spend the whole afternoon and evening there, drinking their refreshing cocktails and eating their yummy food.
Been to Mews once before but this time decided to take an old business friend from Greece who 'd not seen for 6 years! Warm evening and the restaurant was not full. As before we had excellent and friendly service, our differing fish and scallops starters really good and the Rib Eye and Fillet to follow were temnder and scrumptious. A light red advised by the waiter turned out to be a delightful choice. Love the atmosphere of the place and high quality of the food with excellent service
I went for my birthday dinner
I went for my birthday dinner and had a lovely time. We had originally booked a table for 1930 with the intention of having a drink in the bar first, but unfortunately the bar was extremely busy. The hostess let us go up to our table an hour early and we had some cocktails before our dinner.
The waitress was attentive and informative. Very friendly and able to recommend different dishes. I must say everyone really enjoyed the food.
The ambience was relaxed and we never felt rushed or pressured, we had a great time.
Great place for any occasion
I went to Mews of Mayfair with a friend who was visiting London and met up with a group afterwards. The food is very good and not overly expensive. The atmosphere and service are great. I highly recommend drinks in the cocktail bar/ courtyard and basement lounge after dinner.
The restaurant has a lovely relaxed feel to it. Very friendly, courteous staff serve really good food. There is a good variety on the menu, we were spoilt for choice.
Make sure you also have a drink in the bar downstairs, great atmosphere.
I really enjoyed the experience, tucked away restaurant but opens up into a vibrant setting. Would recommend to try at least once and make your own opinion. Not a big dent on the wallet and the staff have a good sense of humour.
Fab Mews of Mayfair
On a hot July day sipping chilled house wine (Chenin Blanc - good value) with luscious Queen Green Olives. Sitting in cool, calm Mews of Mayfair restaurant with 2 pals. Lovely welcome, experienced happy waiters, great window table overlooking Lancashire Court (just off New Bond St). Mews is a wonderful surprise; excellent, delicious food at sensible prices. Gem Lettuce salad with juicy chicken, crispy bacon, soft-boiled egg & parmasan. First time at the restaurant & we all agreed; we'd go back to & recommend Mews of Mayfair. Walking distance from the Royal Academy via Old & New Bond Street - a bonus. Thank you Mews for a fab restaurant experience. p.s. So convenient to book via online TopTable.
Excellent food, amazing service, lovely atmosphere and fantastic setting - what more could you want!
Our waitress Sivia was fantastic,
Our waitress Sivia was fantastic, could not do enough for us and was such a lovely friendly person, she made the experience.
Requested by the team
I booked Mews for a team lunch having originally suggested somewhere else, but my colleagues were adamant they wanted to return to Mews, which I think says a lot about the standards of both food and service. The new menu is also delicious.
Nice ambience, well presented
Nice ambience, well presented creative food, service lets the restaurant a bit diwn
Good for business lunch
Always reliable and the new autumn menu is delicious, whilst the old favourites remain.
Fast efficient service. Very
Fast efficient service. Very tasty well presented food. The Dover Sole was perfect and filleted at my request, expertly.
Restaurant is a nice size, quite cosy without being on top of each other. Admittedly it was a wet Monday in September and so not very busy. But I enjoyed it and my business guest asked me for the details, Will return no doubt.
Impressive menu, excellent service
Second time at Mews and it never fails to impress. Balanced dishes and delicious dessert. Good choice of wines too.
Nice atmosphere. Food was
Nice atmosphere. Food was nice. I had a vegetarian option which was different and very tasty - just a little dry!
Excellent food and cocktails but...
The cocktails and food were to die for. However, we both ordered pork scratchings as nibbles and they never arrived. To miss 2 items when taking orders for just a table for 2 is a bit unexpected in a restaurant of this quality.
Good business lunch venue
Had lunch in the upstairs bar with clients, nice interior, good food, friendly staff, even if the service could have been a bit quicker at the end.
This is far from cheapest restaurant you will find in London, but also a long way from being the most expensive.
The food was absolutely great and the service was excellent, but friendly and informal. This is a great restaurant for those who want a brilliant meal for a reasonable price without the overly pretentious service of some of the other restaurants in the area.
I would recommend the restaurant for dinner and cocktails to everyone.
Great find in London
I spent hours on the internet looking for a special restaurant to celebrate my birthday and can now honestly say the research paid off.
The restaurant is upstairs, the whole staircase was decorated with white branches and lights ready for Christmas, looked great. Upon arrival our coats were taken and we were showed to their "best" table. It certainly was, a great table for two with two complimentary glasses of fizz for our birthdays, a very nice touch.
I had fish and chips and my husband had t bone pork, both really nice.
The service was amazing, didn't want for anything. Great friendly team looked after us.
Not over priced for good quality food in a great setting, will definitely return and recommend to my friends.
Very enjoyable, as always
We often have lunch at Mews as it is close to the office and, as always, it didn't disappoint. The atmosphere, staff and food were all excellent and we will continue to visit and enjoy it as a firm favourite.
