A wonderful experience overall! The service & the food were both fantastic.
I have been a regular at Bacco for a years now. I keep going back there because the quality of the food is consistently excellent and I love the decor and atmosphere. It is truly authentic great Italian food and they have an extensive wine list. The staff is attentive and friendly, overall it's always a great experience.
We booked Bacco for my daughter's birthday because there was nowhere left in Chiswick! Not quite true but almost. We had a really good meal, great service and a nice atmosphere. So we're going back for another birthday supper, this time my husband's. Easy to get to on the Overground so able to drink without worrying. Also good for a pre theatre meal.
an excellent evening
I met for abusiness dinner with indivuals from a number of different countries. The food and service was excellent and eeryone thought the evening was highly enjoyable.
Yet again outstanding, service ,food, ambience.all excellent.
Nice to go to a restaurant which, as far as I know, is not part of a chain. The food was good though there was a bit of a gap between the starter and main arriving. The menu is nice and simple with no over-blown sauces camouflaging tastes. And as eating out is also about chatting, the wait was not a big problem and better than places which want you out on a deadline for a second sitting.
never knew this place existed, sandwiched between Carluccio and The Orange Tree. Decor a bit tired/grubby and a slightly fierce unsmiling maitreD (no problem for me as i hate false bonhomie but others might expect more smiles) BUT excellent value lunch menu and very good food which was exactly what I wanted. Will definitely revisit
Good food good service
When you are tight for time and yet want to eat well - this is the place to come. the theatre is I know almost next door, but they make sure you can eat in comfort knowing the food will arrive in time so that you are not looking at your watch. It has the same attitude toward you as if you would be there as an evening in itself, meaning the quality of the pre theatre set menu is superb, all done with grace and warmth.
Good restaurant, great food
I had a lovely meal here with my wife for her birthday. Great little restaurant with good, attentive staff who are only too pleased to offer advice on food and menu choices. It's central location in Richmond makes travel extremely easy with two taxi ranks virtually outside. I would definitely return and recommend to others who are looking for good food and a nice ambience. Three course meal for two with good food and good wine and including service came to £100 which I consider very good value.
Richmond Quality Italian Food
Pre theatre saw us eating here yet again. The food is always well prepared quality ingredients. The staff polite and attentive.
I had the mussels followed by the veal tagliatelle. Both scrumptious. We like the fact that the menu changes quite regularly so when we do re visit we are always in for a treat. Recommended Richmond restaurant.
good ambience, good food, good service, what more can you ask for?
Fantastic quality and a real Italian restaurant. In a dining arena swamped by "italian" eateries this is a gem.
The quality of the food is excellent, the service fantastic and the ambience and welcome first rate.
This was our first time to Bacco - it won't be our last.
Stefano and his team at Bacco always seem to manage to make you feel welcome and part of the family. We love coming to this local eatery in Richmond and it sits right up there in our top three for the area, predominently due to the quality and value. The food is beautifully cooked and the wine list well thought through - often with unusual offerings that have real depth. It's a restaurant that lends itself to dressing up for a romatic evening or a casual pre-post theatre supper. Whatever your preferences, you're bound to find something that will suit. Bellissimo!
Set menu was excellent and
Set menu was excellent and the choice of wines further complemented the experience. The waiter was attentive and good humoured which added the the evenings fun! Overall a great atmosphere and excellent value.
Party of 5
We booked online and to our great surprise we were able to get a table. The waiter offered us the choose of two table and the service was prompt. The set menus had an excellent variety including a duck salad and a goat cheese pastry. Both were excellent! The mains were also excellent and contained one of my favourite dishes, black truffle spaghetti in a Parmesan basket. Waiters were very polite and joyful. I would strongly recommend.
Good for pre-theatre
We had a very enjoyable meal. The pre-theatre menu was great value and excellently made. The only downside was the slightly sluggish service: we would have stayed for dessert if the waiters had been a bit more attentive!
Best Italian restaurant in Richmond
Bacco has been going for 14 years and it is always great. The owner is friendly and welcoming, and the food and wine are excellent.
it is easily the best Italian restaurant in Richmond.
We Love it Here!
About once a month we come here for fab food, wonderful service and a decent wine list. It's easy to get to and we always enjoy - would not hesitate to recommend.
Very pleasant dinner
What a great find - with good food, wine and service.
Location handy for Richmond station and the next door Theatre
Best Italian Restuarant in Richmond
As usual we were treated to a friendly welcome, followed by the professional delivery of quality ingredients presented in fine style.
I cannot recommend this restaurant enough. If in Richmond you must try it.
Menu changes often and have enjoyed the in season specials on numerous occasions. Always a pleasure!!
Great value and excellent chef
Definitely underrated and a hidden gem of Richmond. Parpadelle to die for and Aubergine starter was amazing
Best restaurant in Richmond
Bacco is by far the most refined and sophisticated Italian in Richmond. Food is brilliant, and has never failed over the countless years we've been. If you want somewhere nice with remarkable food, this is the place.
Excellent quality Italian Food
We really enjoyed the set menu through Top Table and thought it was excellent value with a very good choice of dishes.
The pasta is very fresh and obviously homemade and we can recommend the sea bass and the guinea fowl.
We were able to sit outside but you do aparantly need to request this on booking.
It was a very good
It was a very good dining experience with interesting meals and friendly service conveniently sited.
Went to Bacco before the theatre.
Went to Bacco before the theatre. The staff ensured I received prompt service and were very attentive. The starters were divine and for main we had pasta. Home made and delicious. It was my first visit, will definitely go back soon. The food was very good value.
A lovely night out
I have been to Bacco a few times now and I am never disappointed. The food was delicious and the service was very efficient. My party had a great evening, thank you.
Dinner on a saturday evening
We enjoyed a lot the quality and diversity of the menu the service ( friendly/not overbearing) and the sense of an italian restaurant not a chain but with its own style and content
Food is always great here and this has become a favourite place to go...its quite pricey but the food is delicious and thats why we keep going back! The only downside was that it was sooo hot in the restaurant that it made it uncomfortable to sit for so long - the air conditioning was on but it didnt help...and we couldnt sit outside as it was raining - plus all the buses going past is not the best view...nevertheless I recommend Bacco for those who want great Italian food - and the wine is delicious too!
We were a party of 7 people.
We were a party of 7 people. Although the restaurant isn't big but it has a very cosy atmosphere and good lighting. The menu choice wasn't huge but everything on it looked tasty and when the food turned up, they were delicious and generous in portions. Great little restaurant with good food and good location just diagonally across from Richmond station. Good for hanging out with a small group of friends.
a fantastic evening
We had a fantastic evening at Bacco - great cocktails, wine & food, brilliant service. Will definitely go there again and again.
We had a pleasant evening at Bacco. Food is definitely home made. The bread was amazing, very good wine but our starter was slightly overcooked (goat cheese in pastry: good but not very original) and we found several bones in the ravioli fish... On the other side the waitress was extremely friendly, helpful and discrete. She told us she will make sure the cook gets our comments which was nice.
fantastic food and service.
fantastic food and service. great value for money. much better than any of the nearby chains
Favourite Italian Restaurant
We both love Bacco, the staff, service and the food are all excellent. When we choose to go there it is a chance to enjoy great food and relax over dinner.
Our meal at Bacco was lovely. Good standard of food, and good service. We had an early dinner here, which wasn't a problem as it was still fairly busy, so had a reasonable atmosphere anyway. Have been before and would go again.
Had an 8.30 reservation on
Had an 8.30 reservation on a Friday night - it was busy so we were given quite a small table for 3 people (probably normally for 2!). The food was excellent as always but the service was very slow and we didn't get our main courses until after 10pm which isn't ideal. Have normally eaten there during the week which is quieter and hence the service a lot better.
Nice dinner on front terrace
Nice atmosphere. Polite helpful staff. Quality food. Somewhat overpriced. Would return.
Outstanding as always
This has to be the top Richmond restaurant. Definitely not the cheapest but all round excellence - food, service and sense of occasion it has it all. Well done to the team - even though 'the boss' was on holiday.
Thank you Bacco!!
Another fabulous meal prior to a rather dismal show at the local theatre. Still, thank God for good food, excellent service and staff that are happy and friendly. As you may have guessed this is one of our favourite Richmond upon Thames eateries. The Italian recipes and style shine through from the decor to the Fayre. The seasonal changes to the menu, reflecting what’s really good and fresh right now, means that every time we have seafood, of any kind, it’s the best quality, properly prepared to a tee! Thank you for a great start to our evening and the most memorable bit. We recommend to our friends.
Yummy Italian and nice vibe
The crab linguine was a stand out, the staff are friendly, attentive and actually mostly Italian which is nice for recommendations and gives an authentic feel. I like the decor and quality of food is always good - just can't wait for the oxtail ravioli to be back on the menu - it is easily one of the best dishes i've had in a while!
We went to the restaurant
We went to the restaurant for a post-theatre meal and was nicely surprised by the quality of the food and style if the restaurant.
Good Richmond choice
I have eaten here many times, never had the same dish twice and never been unhappy with my choices. The service is attentive and friendly but never intrusive. The restaurant is a bit too corridor-like but the tables are fairly well placed for private conversation.
nice atmosphere & even better food
nicely presented, well cooked, attentive service and at a good price - one of the nicest pre-theatre meals I have eaten in Richmond
We were using this restaurant as women's meeting. All staff was kind to all of us. The food was excellent, especially spagetti which was famous.
Comfortable and attractive restaurant with very good food - and on the night we visited - an impromptu session of live Opera singing!!
Had a great time,the food
Had a great time, the food was very tasty, but on the negative side, the portions were slighty on the small side, the staff were more than helpful,we were not rushed in any way,we will return on furture trips to Twickenham
a good meal
Not eaten there for a few months but nice to be back. I started with a glass of Prosecco and David had a carafe of good red wine. I had a nice starter portion of crab Linguine and D had the Aubergine special both very good. We both had Cod for mains--one from a la carte and me from specials. Both were excellent quality cod but both would have benefited from a nice sauce. To finish we had panacotta and amaretto ice cream and two good coffees. total £108 incl service
pre -theatre dining at bacco
Bacco filled up suddenly with pre-theatre diners but the staff coped well with the influx and were attentive. The food was prompt without being rushed and of good quality, attractively presented, and the staff were efficient and friendly
Bacco - a lovely Italian restaurant
A lovely warm and welcoming ambience with very friendly, professional service. Food excellent!
Friday night treat
The special menu for £25 for 2 courses including a glass of wine is great value. You get a good choice of starters and main courses that are really interesting and the food is always great. The atmosphere reminds me of when I lived in Milan, it felt warm, relaxed and sophisticated on a what was a cold evening. Friendly and efficient staff.
A Really Enjoyable Meal again!!
We cant sing the praises of this quality Italian Restuarant enough. Set in the heart of Richmond mins from the Theatres. The staff are immensely knowledgeable and friendly. The food is of the quality we come to expect in top West End establishments. So pleased that we can book and eat here seamlessly on our chosen portal. We thoroughly recommend you try it. Lovers of good quality fayre will not be disappointed!!
