Second time this month that
Second time this month that I've eaten here on the top table £15 offer for two courses. Refreshingly as a vegetarian I had two different options on the reduced menu since two weeks ago - both meals have been delicious!
Great first experience, esp food... waiters v helpful front of house.
nice food, good atmosphere
Have been to this restaurant many times, the food is good and the service is very good.
very enjoyable. would go back.
very enjoyable. would go back. Not posh like the others but it comes with a less expensive price tag.
I booked the Cantina for dinner for 15 people, as a surprise for my other half. The booking was using the 2 courses for £14.95 set menu, which I had seen had received good reviews on Toptable already. We were not disappointed. The choice on the menu was fantastic, there were about 8 starters and 8 mains to choose from, and 4 dessert options. The food was really delicious, and the portion sizes were very acceptable. Between the 15 of us we had most of the dishes on the menu, and everybody was delighted with their meal. The staff were also exceptional; they were attentive, polite and efficient. I will absolutely be coming back here, as will many of our friends, and would recommend it wholeheartedly!
A group of us went there following
A group of us went there following a walk over the O2. The portions were generous and delicious - we really enjoyed it all. The staff were lovely and very accommodating. The facilities could do with being updated but other than that, it was very enjoyable.
Great food and nice atmosphere
We had a lovely evening at Cantina Vinopolis, we arrive a little before the time we'd booked the table for but were able to sit down straight away. The set menu had a really good selection, lots more than the three choices you usually get on a set menu. The starters in particular were very hard to choose between! We weren't rushed with the meal and the dining room was busy although not packed. The only thing that was a bit off was the way they continually tried to top up our wine glasses too quickly, but otherwise was a great evening.
good fun...lovely atnostphere
We had a set menu for £20 don't think there's a ls carte. But there was lots to choose from and tasty dishes.
Great venue for a group
I like it as it has a nice bar for pre dinner drinks. The cocktail list is amazing and great offer of buy 1 get 1 free. Food is good and promotion menu has great choice. Highly recommended.
Great venue, food was lovely
Great venue, food was lovely and service was excellent.
great food but lacked in service
Cantina is just inside rhe Vinopolis complex and along with a good selection on the food menu you also get a vast wine list with something at every price level. As the set menu was so cheap I decided to splash out on a slightly more pricey wine. We were both impressed with the food and the restaurant catered well for gluten free too. The only let down was the service with one waiter serving all tables in the main dining area because all other staff were attentively serving a private business dinner in the area next door.
Lunch before wine tasting
We took a friend to lunch before going on to wine tasting next door as a birthday treat. We had a bottle of champagne which was very good value. Although we had booked a deal, 2 courses for £14.95 there was a really good selection to choose from, 10 choices of both starter and main courses. Two of us can be fussy eaters but everyone was able to find something they really wanted and subsequently enjoyed the food. We were also able to see that the desserts looked delicious too. The food was tasty and very well presented and the waiter service attentive. The restaurant is set out as two big rooms and my only criticism would be that as it was pretty full it was also quite noisy.
Excellent food ancient great value with the top table deal. Excellent wine choice as would be expected.
Good food at great value.
The service is great and food is amazing. Possibly the best duck I have ever eaten. The meat was well cooked and very tender. I will certianly be going back here again and again! Booking via top table meant that we have had a deal. The website advertises it as 2 courses for £14.95 but the menu provided shows you can have 3 courses for £19.95...providing you have space! The resturant wasnt too busy either which meant we could take time with our meal. It was nice not to feel rush out at the end - we sat for a while finishing our wine.
vinopolis bar blu and restaurant
Food, cocktails and ambience great. Cocktail bar service way too slow .and waiter/waitress idea would be better,
Excellent value and great food
Ate at cantina vinopolis as a group of 4 on top table 2 courses for £15 menu. The food was excellent (I loved the duck) and really excellent value for the price. Had one of the cheaper bottles of wine and that was still really good. Shame there weren't many people in there but it was a Monday!
Nice large restaurant and we had the £14.95 2 course menu which had a good selection and was very tasty. Would go back again.
Fourth time I have visited; food consistently good standard but disappointed that for the second time was given the wrong menu, (not the £14.95 lunch special menu I had booked). Also feel they should have more comfortable seating, the hard wooden seats are very uncomfortable.
I have been to the Cantina on various occasions and on Saturday, I was once again not disappointed. The service is second to none and the food is outstanding. I would eat there everyday if I could!
The restaurant was quiet. The service was great friendly staff. The lunch was very good- two menus with a great choice. Good wine list
Excellence all the way
Our whole lunchtime experience at the Cantina Vinopolis was outstanding. The service was impeccable, every need was met with a warming smile. The menu was so varied and everything looked so appealing. I can only say that every course of our meal was a tastebud extravaganza. There was not a thing I could fault except that I could have sat and eat my way through the whole menu as it all looked fantastic. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone and everyone, I will certainly be going back again, in fact I cannot wait for my next visit.
Never fails to impress
The food here is always of an excellent standard and the set menu really good value. Service is always friendly and attentive.
Cantina Vinopolis, London Bridge
Really pleased with meal for my birthday...food good quality & good sized portions plus very good service. Can hear trains going overhead but that adds to the character of the place & doesn't cause any problem. Excellent value TT offer 3 courses & free bottle wine £19.95 - particularly good quality for house wine. Convenient for Shard & pubs overlooking the River. Would definitely return.
Lovely food and great service
4 of us had a lovely meal here, great food and great service. The TT deal made things very good value. Occasional rattling from trains running overhead is the only minor negative
The menu was quite wide and
The menu was quite wide and varied for a special offer and the wine choice was comprehensive and afffordable. The service was very pleasant and at our pace: the courses not on top of each other but no long gaps. We felt comfortable sitting chatting at the end of the meal without being rushed. Our only complaint with the food was that the portions were so big, unusually neither of us was able to finish our main course. The environment was interesting and, despite it being such a big space, the ambiance was good. Importantly we were able to talk without being overwhelmed by background noise.
pre theatre dinner
A very enjoyable meal in a jaw-dropping setting. Extremely attentive service. Will go again.
Booked this last minute with work colleagues. The food was really tasty and there was an excellent range of starters and mains (around 9 choices of each), which is exceptional for a special offer menu. One party member needs a celiac diet and the chef catered for her needs with regards special request.
Waiters were attentive and ensure our wine glasses were kept topped up. Would absolutely recommend this time and again
Dinner at Cantina
A lovely meal with a large selection from the three course set menu.
An extensive wine list, pleasant and knowledgable staff. Highly recommend
Despite being greeted by a miserable woman who led us to our table & the waiter looking at us strangely because we couldn't decide what to drink (not uncommon, surely?), I had a very pleasant meal with my friend. Would return again but purely for the ambience & good food.
Enjoyed an excellent Steak in ambient surroundings and a great location in Borough Market. Great location for a Business dinner.
Attended with a small group of friends for midweek lunch. A great selection of dishes to choose from and a special dietary requirements was handled very well. Extensive choice of wines. Attentive but not intrusive service. Very good value and would definately return.
Went here on the toptable set menu deal. There was a very good selection of dishes (about 8 for each course) so lots to choose from. Food was solid, not great. Starter of calamari was tender, but the lime and chili dip with it had no heat whatsoever. Needed (a lot) more chili.
Main of confit duck was very good. Cooked well. Good wine list, but not cheap
Would recommend on the deal though.
Great wine selection
We went here on a Friday to catch up with friends, had the three course top table menu - there was a wide range of entree's, mains and desserts to pick from, and the food was very good.
The wine selection was great - we had a very lovely evening. I would have no hesitation in recommending Vinopolis.
nice food, good top table
nice food, good top table offer. Near where I live so I'll be back - and of course the wine was lovely!
Met my godmother for a meal here at lunchtime. The restaurant wasn't packed by any means, but there was a gentle buzz. We all chose from the set menu, and the food was very nice. Portion sizes were good, not too small and not too big. Service was good and not at all intrusive. We were still sat talking way after everyone else had left the restaurant and we were not rushed out of the way.
Would definitely go back.
Great evening of delicious food
It was a really enjoyable evening, and the great service was only matched by the high quality of the food. For what we had, and where we had it, it was very fairly priced, and the wine we had also was a great choice - selected by our waiter.
I would really recommend this to anyone looking for a nice evening out, or a birthday or other special occasion!
Cannot fault it at all. The
Cannot fault it at all. The toptable special menu was even better value than the very fair regular a la carte. There were a fair number of options and the only problem was choosing between them. An oasis of calm right next to the now overflowing borough market: as well as the great food, the staff were tip top and the wine list was, as you'd expect given the venue, fantastic.
Sunday Lunch on the Thames
Whilst disappointing that the two main choices, beef and turkey were no longer available due to a big group attending the whisky tasting day, the staff could not have been more helpful, with lamb and chicken offered as replacement: The service was excellent, the venue amazing and the food quality could not be faulted.
great place for groups
Ate here with work colleagues for a leaving do. Arrived early but were seated straight away. Bread immediately. Service was great, very quick and attentive. Waiters were always on hand. Food was great, good selection and variety especially for a set menu. Good portion sizes, very rich and filling food. Extensive wine list too! Would recommend.
Great deal via toptable! Lovely
Great deal via toptable! Lovely wine - as expected for Vinopolis! The food was delicious, with good sized portions. Would definitely recommend and return myself.
Good value for money
We went there with a group of friends on saturday night and we had a lovely time. The food was good and the wine was execellent. We enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere too.
I love Cantina Vinopolis. The staff are very friendly and the service was second to none. The food was very nice and the whole feel of the place is warming, relaxing and friendly. Although the restaurant is huge, the building is amazing. I requested a nice quiet table and that's just what we were given. A corner table tucked away and although the restaurant began to get busy we had a lovely meal, with great conversation (without straining to hear one another)! Something which I think is all too familiar in London restaurants at the moment. I will definately be going again.:-)
Great value on set menu
Set menu was very good value. Great choice. Tasty food, good service. Very good wine list.
Very good value
Went here for a family dinner. We had selected the set menu of 2 courses for £13 and i can't fault the food at all. There were a lot of options compared to set menus at other restaurants and the portion sizes were very good for the price. The ambience is nice as well with high arched ceilings and wine bottles in the walls. I would recommend it
A place to meet friends
Excellent place to meet friends and "catchup" on gossip. Very enjoyable meal and lovely ambience
Food and drink was good. Restaurant
Food and drink was good. Restaurant is quite buzzy with lots of group bookings, therefore, it's best with a group of friends and not really great of a romantic dinner or when you need to have "proper" discussions.
Would go again!
Our meal at the Cantina was delicious. The menu wasn't fussy or over hyped as you can find, but basic and said exactly what it was. I chose the vegetarian option which was extremely tasty and my friends dish of the chicken hit the spot also. The desserts were gorgeous and well presented. Service was slick and efficient and for a good restaurant on the southbank the bill was acceptable. I would happily recoomend and would probably go again.
2 course menu with lots of choice
My friend and I went for the two course set menu for £15.
There were lots of choice for both mains and starters.
We both went for the fish of the day which was lovely.
The wine is quite pricey which is to be expected so once you add that in your meal isnt as cheap as you thought but saying that there is loads of wine to choose from and the bottle we had was really nice.
I would definately go back.
Visited Cantina after a Vinopolis experience. The service was very good and the food excellent. I also thought the price for two courses of quality food and a nice bottle of wine for two was really good value.
The only thing is the lighting, heat and noise from the kitchen can be a bit too much and by the end we were relieved to escape outside to a 2degrees November evening. Would still recommend though - just wear layers.
Early evening meal
We had the three course meal that was very enjoyable. Staff were attentive and friendly. Very good value for money for a city restaurant.
