Went for my girlfriends birthday with a big group and it was great. Love the atmosphere and food. I highly recommend it!
Our meal at Suka last night
Our meal at Suka last night was really nice. I love the Sanderson and the atmosphere is always really buzzy and fun. The cocktail was a bit silly to start - one sip's worth in a tiny little glass but the portions of food were generous and really tasty. I would definitely recommend the deal £19 for the 2 courses was good value and its such a glamorous setting.
Dining at Suka was amazing,
Dining at Suka was amazing, the staff were friendly, made us feel very welcome, the food was delicious, will definitely be recommending to my friends.
Had my Valentine's day dinner
Had my Valentine's day dinner there, very nice food! As a Asian from hk, I am very impressed, its real Malaysia food, no fusion no joke around, the chef is from Malaysia as well, so highly recommend!
I had a lovely dinner yesterday
I had a lovely dinner yesterday at Suka. Interesting combination of food in the offer menu, very tasty, just delicious! Service is friendly and the atmosphere fun and after dinner there is the Long Bar waiting for you for great cocktails. I’ll definitely be back, well done Suka!
suka, W1- Beautiful bar, buzzy
suka, W1- Beautiful bar, buzzy atmosphere. Set menu was just enough, the cocktail was yummy. Lamb curry delicious. Service was good.
Our meal at Suka was really
Our meal at Suka was really delicious. Although mini for the mini cocktail is right!! Tiny little glass! Lovely quality food and generous portions. I would definitely recommend. The atmosphere in the Sanderson is so fab and exciting and the service very friendly. Loved it.
Suka is a great spot to grab
Suka is a great spot to grab some dinner after work. The staff are friendly and efficient, and the setting is quite cool. The food was tasty but not necessarily value for money. Cocktails were great : )
Our meal at Suka was really
Our meal at Suka was really delicious. I love the atmosphere; so buzzy and interesting in the bar and restaurant and outside. The food is really delicious; beef curry and vegetables with cashew nuts. A teeny tiny cocktail to start though but it was worth the money. I would definitely recommend.
Fun and attentive service,
Fun and attentive service, great crispy fried squid, excellent value
The £23 menu at Suka is very very good value. It is set in the Sanderson Hotel which looks fabulous and has all the feel of a very expensive night out. I must admit that at first i didnt think that between two people there would be enough food, how wrong could i be. We only managed two of the three courses on offer each and even then we didnt finish them. Very very worth a go.
We booked the express menue and thought it was a great deal. The food was lovely and there was plenty to go around. Service was great and it was only the wine that hiked our bill up!!
A very elegant and stylish
A very elegant and stylish venue. Unfortunately we were not able to have a drink in the Long Bar as one of my guests was 16 and it is over 21s only. As it was a pleasant evening we were able to have a drink outside on the terrace instead. The food, however, was somewhat disappointing. Two of the vegetables dishes tasted identical and, although the squid tasted nice, the texture of it gave me the impression that it had not been freshly cooked to order or had been cooked twice. The staff were very pleasant and attentive but a hefty 15% service charge was added to the drinks and food bills.
Loved our meal at Suka. The only thing that lets it down is the ridiculously small cocktail you get with the deal.
Food so delicious; lamb coconut curry and vegetables with cashew nuts. Really fresh and authentic tasting and beautiful presentation. Lovely fun service and amazing atmosphere.
Great to have cocktails in the bar and outside afterwards too.
Lovely restaurant with trendy
Lovely restaurant with trendy outdoor eating area, perfect for a summer afternoon. We ate from the Malaysian Express menu. This was extremely tasty and very good value for money. (Food is quiet expensive on a la carte). Would go again, particularly when the weather is good.
had my birthday lunch here,
had my birthday lunch here, excellent express menu large portions to share 3 meat plates and 2 vegetable plates easily with 3 people. venue is stunning, weather was gorgeous so outside dining experience was perfect, definitey return
Good visit to Suka, when I found it, the sign could be a bit better. Food was good, portions ok. Worth the visit.
the sanderson is an iconic
the sanderson is an iconic hotel and this chic little restaurant is tucked just off the main bar - it has a great outdoor courtyard and a choice of western or malaysian menu. the nasi lemak set menu is great value before 1845 and the food matches the ambience. a useful one to have up your sleeve when trying to look for a classy place to eat and drink right in the centre of town.
Good afternoon business meeting
Very friendly and attentive staff. The restaurant was nice and modern. The variety of food was pleasantly received.
Suka - beautiful garden!
Suka's current Toptable offer is great value and the atnosphere is fantastic - especially out in the garden - even good in winter!!
Suka offers very good food in a fashionable setting around the hotel's oriental style courtyard. portion are generous .the dining area where we ate was open air, lovely for a warm summer's evening, though a bit chilly in November despite the hot air heaters. service was efficient, the restaurant & Long bar offers fantastic cocktails.
Wonderful lunch with the ladies
I have eaten at Suka before and once again I was not disappointed. We were 8 ladies and had the group lunch at £60 per head. It may seem a little expensive but it is worth it. Each dish was amazing, the dishes were well balanced and accommodated everyone tastes. Service was great from the moment we arrived and staff were friendly, attentive and helpful.
great food, pricey cocktails
opted to choose food from the express menu as didnt want to eat too much food was great, cocktails were also great but on average £14 a go!! can get very pricey
Delicious malaysian food
I have been to the Sanderson long bar many times but never actually eaten at their restaurant. I was thoroughly impressed with the attentive and professional service of the restaurant. The food was delicious (I had chicken skewers and this rice noodle spicy dish) and fairly priced for asian food. Great wine selection. We were there on a Friday night so there was a DJ playing music and it made for a lively ambience (hence more inclination to drink!). I think Suka would be a great spot for a birthday dinner as the space is quite large and the dishes are made for sharing.
Friendly, attentive service
Good food is on offer at Suka, along with excellent service. Their concept as explained to all diners on presentation of the menu is to order a few dishes each to share with your table. Portion sizes are decent, but you will, need to order a minimum of two to three dishes to share.
Excellent food - we will return
After a trip to a gallery and a walk on a cold and wet London night we were very pleasantly surprised by Suka. The food was all excellent and the variety of tastes on offer was just right. The beef satay was so tender, the duck won tons so tasty and the silken tofu so smooth. All in all well worthy of a visit. Bar music was a bit loud but maybe we are just getting old!
modern malasyan cussine beautifylly presented and very tasty. lovely athmosphere and fab martinis
We were planning to visit Sanderson's fabled 'Long Bar' for a some cocktails and upon noticing the showery weather forecast I came to the conclusion that dining in the immediate vicinity would be appropriate.
Previously I'd not eaten at Suka despite several visits to either the bar or stays in the hotel it's self, I have to say it was quite exceptional.
Forgive me for not remembering their Malaysian names (except nasi goring sic) but all of the four dishes we sampled were of the highest quality cuisine with delightful flavours. Other dishes being sea bass, belly pork and the simply delicious lamb curry.
The setting and ambiance outside under candlelight was delightfully laid back with every single member of staff being very attentive.
The food was superb and arrived very quickly. The service was absolutely brilliant and the ambience was great. Will definitely return.
We arrived at the Sandersons at 9 just before our booking. The restaurant itself was totally empty.
However, the waiters were kind enough to let us sit at the Japanese Garden and order from the Suka Malaysian menu.
So it was a great evening.
Would highly recommend doing this than sitting in the restaurant itself
It was my 1st time there and i will be going back again for my a birthday tea. The food was very good. The outdoor eating was good for me and my wife even thow it was heavy rain on the day it didn't upset the day.
We started with cocktails in the Long Bar which were amazing!
The food was good, not amazing. But I'd still go back to try the other food
The squid was to die for and the waiting staff were do friendly and accommodating.
THis restaurant is set in the hip and trendy Sanderson Hotel -with a great, funky atmosphere. The food was able to match this, and the staff helpful and unpretentious!
The food is reasonbaly authentic and i should know as i am from Malaysia.
Overall I had a great time and will definitely be back
Wonderful venue. Good food and friendly staff. Bit pricy, even without alcohol, in fact for the size dishes, it's a bit too pricy.
Great ambience both the bar
Great ambience both the bar and the outside dining garden are pleasant cool and relaxed. Excellent service at the table.
