We had dinner on August 15th.
We had dinner on August 15th.
We picked the 3-course menu offer: the food was very nice, aromatic and tasty. The variety of starters was an invite to discover a genuine Indian cuisine. Please try the 'Mango Lassi': it is delicate and excellent to start your meal !
The staff was very friendly: As we complained about the music (we found it a bit loud in the background) they kindly offered us a quieter spot further from the loud speakers and kept on looking after us very kindly. The service was fast.
Not the cheapest place (£70 for two = 3-course menu and 1 Lassi) but worth it overall.
Excellent food and service. Will definitely be back soon!!!
enjoyed a lot
Had been here along with my wife for a Sunday evening dinner. Had a great time and the waiters were quite friendly. They were never intrusive but always available when needed. We went for vegetarian starters, main course and fruit drinks. All tasted brilliant. And everything was served without any wait time. Overall enjoyed a lot. The only downside may be that since the restaurant seating was underground, I didn't have any mobile network. For my wife though this was a boon!
Great food at Mint Leaf
I booked for a work meal at Mint Leaf, Haymarket having been here a couple of times already. We were running late, so had to push the meal back which the restaurant managed to do without any fuss at all. Everybody was really impressed with the food - we went for the £35 set meal option which was excellent value.
Delicious Food at mint leaf
The ambiance at mint leaf was great the food was delicous especially the tandori lamb chops and even the humble daal was extremely tasty and much nice than what you would make at home.
great food and cocktails
We ate here as a large group for my birthday. The food was outstanding quality and a bit different to other Indian restaurants. The cocktail menu was extensive and exciting, if a little pricey. The staff at the restaurant were very polite and accomodating although we felt the service was a little patchy at times during the meal e.g. difficult to order more drinks. Will definitely go back again as a smaller group.
We booked this restaurant for a birthday celebration for family members over from Germany. The restaurant had the look and feel of a place of real class. The service was impeccable and second to none. The food was wonderful, especially what was on offer for one of the guest who is a vegetarian. Well recommended!
Great place & service
The place looked fantastic, the service was literally on point, great for couples and groups. We had the 4 Course Set Menu, pleasantly surprised at how full we was by the end of the night considering the portions looked small. But the food tasted good. The only minor set back was when I asked to have my Bellini substituted for a mockail/cocktail, apparently this is not allowed. Maybe Toptable should take that bit down from their offers.
But overall would go there again and try their a la carte menu with a group. Thumbs up for this place!!
Mint Leaf is a great dining
Mint Leaf is a great dining experience for the quality Indian food, polite and efficient service and the sleek and modern interior. The top table special offers makes it extra value for money.
Great food and cocktails
I dined with friends as a birthday meal. We had lovely cocktails in the bar beforehand and the food and service were both very good.
Taster menu starter is delicious
Taster menu starter is delicious but the portions were disappointingly small, left me craving more of the amazing tandoori platter! Main menu again was gorgeous and plenty to make me full up! Overall a delightful experience and wonderful restaurant. Very efficient staff and service.
We selected the tasting menu and were initially worried about the portion size but actually found it to be plentiful and filling. The food was tasty and the menu options were varied to suit all palettes. 2 for 1 cocktail happy hour was on at the same time so overall made the whole experience great value. Food was lovely and had a good level of spice. Service was fantastic following an earlier confusion over my booking time.
Had an amazing meal here totally
Had an amazing meal here totally enjoyed the total dining experience. Def visit again soon.
Wonderful food, service, atmspher
Unusual offerings like Venison curry and sold presentations of old standards - dal, spinach and cheese, chicken tandoori. The lamb byriani comes in a clay pot roofed with flat bread. Behl puri in papadum cones is a treat and the dessert sampler just enough when shared. Impeccable service, busy but not noisy. Highly recommended.
Great venue for food and meetings. Good service, tasty food and an excellent selection of wines.
Amazing value and food
I booked the Mint Leaf for a pre-theatre dinner. Given the deal was 2 courses for £13, my expectations weren't really that high. It was mostly about value and convenience (though I did notice very good reviews) but the food was great! Really great starters, and mains that included generous servings of rice, dhal and bread. So rarely does a dinner booking so surpass expectations so I had to leave a review. The service was also really good. Attentive and helpful -and all for £13! A rare treat in London.
The food was excellent. Service was excellent.
Took my gf here and venue is very romantic with our own privacy. Decor was brilliant.
It was the first time I ate in an Indian restaurant and I was delighted. The food was great and the environment so comfortable.
Great food - Great night
Went here for my wife birthday, the food was outstanding and very well presented, the helpfulness of the staff match the quality of the food. Would totally recommend anyone to visit this restaurant.
Service was impeccable and the food a delight. Contemporary Indian cuisine beautifully presented and wonderful flavours. Good portions too. We went for the set two course meal pre-theatre and will definitely return.
Excellent meal thank you
A really good meal a lot of comfort and an impressive cocktail bar that even caters for teetotallers.
We were there in a rush as I had a surprised birthday party planned. But we were well looked after in our short 30 mins visit and the vegerarian options we ordered were delicious
Indian flavors in a trendy cave
We had to rush to get to a film unfortunately but clearly the Indian food was excellent. Both my wife and I enjoyed our starters and main course. No time for dessert. The greeters could do with some training as they rushed us to the table and departed quickly. A server could not explain the dishes. But the chef seemed talented and confident.
My 40th Birthday Treat
Heard about Mint Leaf from a few friends with mixed reviews, so thought we would try it out after cocktails in Leicester square. All 4 of us were very surprised with the warm welcome, a carefully chosen table for us and a fantastic attentive waiter that was not pushy but made good reccomendations on food and drink. I love a good Indian restaurant that caters to the true taste of indian cuisine rather to a Western palette, this is definitely one of them. The lights do get a bit dark as the evening progresses but it does make for a romantic setting.I had put on my booking that I wanted a nice table for my birthday party, we got a great table and as a bonus, without asking for it I got a nice piece of cake with a candle too. Great Food Too.
Top drawer Service
Very friendly and attentive staff, without being too intrusive. Very good food options, and satisfactory pricing. Ideal venue for post or pre Theatre dining.
Nice catch up dinner with friends
Good bar, good cocktails, good food but on a pricey side but worth it for the ambience. Quite dark though so don't go if you are feeling tired.
Nice Atmosphere & Good Food
We went with 3 teenagers after the theatre on a busy Friday night, cocktails were a bit pricey but good, the menu is quite small but the food was excellent, well presented and a cut above the average indian fare. The restaurant has a nice lively vibe without being loud or uncomfortable and isn't unreasonably priced for it's location.
I love MINT LEAF!
I love the fact that they gave me a birthday surprise and also I give it a 10/10. It was my first time going and it was a posh restaurant. I loved the food especially the chicken tikka and the garlic naan.
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS RESTAURANT!!
I had my friends parents in town and we were looking for a lovely restaurant with good food, great wine and an atmosphere where we could chat and catch up! Mint Leaf Haymarket ticked all the boxes! Service was exceptional, waiter was knowledagble and offered restaurant suggestions as well as his personal favourites! They never rushed us and really made us feel comfortable - will certainly be returning very soon! Thank you!
Ambience v food
The atmoshere is very good for such a large restaurant.
A bit disppointed in the set menu as the chicken tikka tasted as if i was cooked in tomato soup
The guinea fowl is the best .
Went mint leaf with a group to celebrate a birthday, food was excellent and plentiful, the set £35 menu was very nice, and good value, only criticism is that our waiter left before the end of our meal and the restaurant forgot about us....
The £25 set menu is really worth it and the food especially the starters are very tasty. Definitely recommend a visit though not sure if it is worth paying full price.
Good value set menu, service efficient and imaginative combination of flavours. My only complaint was that when we asked for tap water, it was not cold, however this was soon rectified with a glass of ice.
Indian food with a twist
Great food as usual at the Mint Leaf - recommended
Amazingly special!! Celebrating
Amazingly special!! Celebrating my boyfriends birthday, he loves indian cuisine and we weren't disappointed at all. Plus delicious cocktails and desserts.
Perfect Place for evening
I thought of having a anniversary dinner at a place which has perfect ambiance with good food and service. This place turned out to be better than my imagination.
Fair bit of veggy options as well considering I am veggy and my wife eat non-veg
We both loved the place. There was a small surprise mango n strawberry ice-cream that was on the house. It was Simply perfect.
We have eaten at Mint Leaf several times and always enjoy the experience. The food and service are always very good and we like the style of the restaurant.
Have previously visited the Mint Leaf. On this occasion I took some friends and found that the quality of the service, standard of food, choice, presentation and value for money remain consistent. Busy evening in the restaurant but the staff delivered perfect service. The free Bellini also went down a treat. My friends loved it particulary the bar area. Would also be great just to pop in for a drink.
TopTable Deal Great Value
The deal thru TopTable made this a great value evening. The food was good but the service was very poor - there seemed to be only one girl servicing the whole section of the restaurant in front of the back bar so getting drinks etc was a pain although once ordered, the food arrived in good time.
Good and varied Indian food
I am not a great Indian food lover as mostly I find them overwhelmed by rich and strong sauces. However the food here is good with an interesting tasting menu. Also good wine list and a great cocktail bar where they really know their cocktails. A definite repeat
Excellent value for money. Service was sharp and prompt as we were heading to a show. Added bonus was the deal so excellent value for money. Definitely go back again. Highly recommended.
Mint Leaf on Haymarket never fails. It was packed on friday eve. I decided to treat my party to a £25 menu with Bellini. I normally go a la carte which can result in a high bill. The food is always delicious with its more modern approach to classic Indian food. Great starter with perfectly cooked pieces of lamb and chicken. The main felt more of a 'regular' indian curry, although the lamb was delicious and the naan perfect. I couldn't however fail to notice that the pieces of chicken were not tandooried before being put in the massala sauce. Kind of like you'd dice up some chicken yourself at home and pour a jar of Madhu J's over it. I guess the fixed menu price required some shortcuts. Nonetheless very tasty and satisfying. I'll be back.
Great venue, good food
Nice night out with good service and excellent ambience.
We had a lovely meal at Mint
We had a lovely meal at Mint Leaf, the service and food were excellent although the lighting was a bit to dark in the restaurant but overall a pleasant evening .
unique Indian dining
Lovely, contemporary setting. We chose one of the set menus, which we do not usually do, but the selection on the set menus were excellent. Enjoyed every course! Would highly recommend this place, and very conveniently located near Trafalgar Square. Impeccable service
Late Dinner at Mint Leaf
First time in going to Mint Leaf and it was late on a Friday night, post theatre. Very buzzy atmosphere and was at first concerned it might be too noisy but it turned out to be fine. The staff were incredibly nice and helpful and the food was really good and surprisingly different (from our local Indian). We all chose from the a la carte. Prices are a little on the high side but you are in Mayfair. I would definitely come again. Possibly even just to have a cocktail to start an evening off.
4 of us went for a meal before
4 of us went for a meal before going to the theatre and had a lovely meal, the place, food and service were all great - normally a little bit expensive so you probably reserve for a special occasion but with the offer you can't go wrong!
Great experience last Friday nite in Mint Leaf,we celebrated my boyfriend's daughter's 16th bday. Menu was very interesting & we ordered the bread basket & some chicken for nibbles before getting our mains. We were all really happy with our mains except for myself as I suffer with a tummy complaint & can't eat spicy food. I did ask the server when ordering what I could have that wasn't spicy & he recommended a lamb dish. But unfortunately it was too spicy for me & I didn't eat a lot of it. Otherwise my boyfriend & his daughter loved their chicken dishes. We had a fab bottle of NZ wine & Beth was surprised with a dessert for her bday which she was really chuffed about. Great nite but will choose my main more carefully the next time I visit.
Nice ambience and coctails
Nice ambience and coctails and extremely good and spicy food!
A place with high class!
Mint Leaf Visit
We had a post theatre evening meal around 6pm from main meal - whole meal and service was excellent. It was recommendation by my son and I am also happy to recommend this Indian restuarant to anyone
Restaurant was a bit noisy for me (I am partially deaf)..
