Food was very good but expensive
Having had Cinnamon Kitchen recommended by so many people I finally got round to going. The food was excellent but it was rather pricey!
First visit to Cinnamon Kitchen and it won't be the last! Food and service was spot on and the bonus was that it was a lovely warm day so we were able to sit outside. Particularly enjoyed the skewer platter starter and the bread and chutneys. The Tandoori Halibut was lovely and the lamb and cheese kofta dishes were enjoyed by the other members of the party. Will be visiting again....
I had kebab for starters,
I had kebab for starters, tandoori chicken und sorbet for dessert. All great . The cocktail was so good we ordered another one! Once again a great lunch with delicious flavours. The Amuse Bouche was a cold yoghurty type starter which was unbelievably delicious and should be a standard feature on the menu - the medley of flavours was wonderful ! Can highly recommend !!
Food was delicious and and
Food was delicious and and the staff friendly and efficient. The only thing I would highlight is that the wine is expensive, the cheapest we could fine was £32 per bottle
I must have eaten here 30+
I must have eaten here 30+ times and once again having lunch here has been pure delight, starting from the delicious cocktail to the "amuse bouche" which is indeed a delight to the mouth, followed by another explosion of flavours in your mouth. I can highly recommend to anyone to take up this great toptable offer !!
Absolutely perfect. Sat in the lower terrace and despite being warned that it could get cold, the temperature was fine and there was a lovely view of the Gherkin. Thoroughly recommended!
Night out with friends
Meeting in Anise for cocktails was a fun way to start the evening. The staff were friendly and attentive. The pace of service relaxed. We ate from the set menu which offered good value and meant we did not spend too long deciding what to order. All of the food was wonderfully displayed. Although some of the dishes were quite spicy this was not overpowering and the balance of flavours was good, however we were pleased we had ordered a raita. The skate wings to start were excellent. The desserts were a light end to the meal. The sorbets were refreshing.
We found Cinnamon kitchen nestling in the corner of Devonshire Square. An instant warm greeting from the receptionist made us feel at home. All staff were very attentive. The food was absolutely delicious - we had the set menu with the free bellini. I'd recommend the tandoori chicken leg and my friend had the fish off this menu - both were beautiful. We were asked if we'd like bread and dips for starter - the bread was lovely but I think at £9 for the bread and dips it was a bit more expensive than expected. Overall though I'd definitely come back here and would like to try the a la carte menu.
The service was really attentive and the food was out of this world. We had the duck with spicy mash and steak, both were amazing. Highly recommend this lovely place.
Great indian food, with good variety and different indian specialties (even some non-spicy dishes). Brilliant location and classy atmosphere. Great for a special or romantic occasion, but even for a business meal. Good value for money.
A warm welcome to start. Although booked 3 months ahead & could only get 7.30 time it wasn't busy. Lots of tables empty. However meal was wonderful & totally unexpected menu. Lamb was wonderful. All 4 guests enjoyed their meals. Little pricey but very different meal & it was a special occasion so worth it.
We asked if we could compliment the chef but they went one step further & took us to the kitchen which was a great experience.
Excellent food and presentation!
The thing that struck me most was that Cinnamon kitchen food is inspired by Indian cooking - but the way that they are cooked and presented in front of the diner is excellent. The speed of delivering the business lunch dishes are also reasonable and the place is really value for money. Just one thing - during the afternoon, there are a lot of people and hence the place is noisy. If you want a quiet romantic place - then this is not the place for you. If you want great food served in elegance - then this is definitely the place to visit.
Noisy but nice
The restaurant was very buzzy on a Thursday night - good buzz but not a place for a quiet romantic meal. Great for a business meal, simple menu with good choices that everyone enjoyed
Fabulous & highly recommended
Booked our first company dinner at Cinnamon Kitchen for eleven people. Started off in the evening in the Anise bar which is a great place to meet. We were served lovely cocktails (beers for the boys) so all in all a good start and put everyone in a good mood. Moving onto the Restaurant through a set of glass doors , we were given a warm welcome. Superb service and despite missing the timing for the set menu (20 mins or so later than stated), the lovely Staff accomodated us. The food was well presented and was a surprisingly delicious mix of traditional and new flavours. A brilliant evening all round. Location is perfect too, just near Liverpool Street Station in trendy Devonshire Square. Highly recommended and would definitely return.
The meal was very nice- service was excellent.
The manager was very helpful, as we had to wait an hour for a table due to a booking mishap, however he smoothed things over very well.
Dinner at Cinnamon Kitchen
The restaurant location was convenient and the area was nice. We enjoyed the overall ambience of the restaurant and the food was good although the serving portions were a bit small.
We booked a table at 2.30pm and were the only people in the restaurant, great for business discussions but obviously lacked atmosphere! Service and food were excellent so will be booking again but earlier or later!
Dinner to calm my nerves
During the walk there I received a call from my son, telling me he had had a mild seizure. I was very stressed by the time we got there. However the service from the staff put me at ease and like all good restaurants made some excellent recommendations. I am big meat eater and had lamb followed by lamb. The waiter asked how it should be cooked and I said medium for both. The starter was definitely over but the main was amazing. The outside ambience, the good company and the great service really helped to calm my nerves. I would definately recommend it.
Friendly, Nice,Good food.
Me and my wife enjoyed every minute of it, the atmosphere, sound, food, service where all to our liking.
Tasty food. Good value.
We went for a friends birthday, so good for groups. Food was quite spicy, not sure if it was Indian, Thai or Chinese as it tasted a mixture of all three. It was fairly small portions, but quite rich and extremely tasty. They also added a few free bits and pieces which was a nice touch. We had coffee and dessert outside, which is under a glass atrium, so that was wonderful. I would recommend this restaurant
never a disappointment
come to CK often but not as often as I would like to - a visit that never fails to be a success
on this occasion, the chef came out and talked us through some variations to the menu and presented us with an even more enjoyable meal - thank you
Haven't been to Cinnamon Kitchen for a few months now, was starting to forget what great food and great service was about. So good to see Adbul and Vivek again, both great guys and superb hosts. My guests were blown away by the whole experience. They too will spread the word about how good the CK experience is!!... Dean
service too long
wait for too long to get our food served: not enough cookers!!
Great food - Thought I would
Great food - Thought I would never find option on par with Amaya in Knightsbridge, but Cinnamon Kitchen is top drawer. Absolutely brilliant!
Tasty Tasting Menu
I visited this restaurant on a Saturday evening, along with my husband and father.
We each had the 8 course tasting menu, also with 2 wine 'flights'.
The food was excellent, the service outstanding and the wines amazing.
We were asked if the speed of the courses being served was too quick or slow for us, which has never been asked before. In fact, the timing was ideal. Due to the fact my father said he had not eaten his chocolate mousse as he does not like chocolate, it was taken away and immediately replaced with a different dessert. Such good service indeed.
We thought the wines, all 6, were very good, and the 100ml measure of each was just right.
All in all, 3 very happy diners.
First time here and impressed
Nice evening meal here, sat outside under the patio heaters rather than inside. Food was extremely tasty, excellent flavour in both the lamb and especially the chicken which was perfectly cooked. Selection of breads were a nice accompaniment to the main. Didn't need desert as starter and mains were more than enough.
Would definitely return. I
A fantastic night thanks to wonderful food, great service and lovely atmosphere. Couldn't be faulted. The six of us had a great evening. A big thanks to the wonderful team at Cinnamon Kitchen.
Delicious food and great ambience.
Great atmosphere, fantastic food and attentive, efficient staff.
The only problem was the wait between courses everything else was excellant
A superb Indian
The Cinnamon Kitchen is a slightly more relaxed version of the Cinnamon Club in Westminster, and it didn't disappoint. Accessed through a breathtaking courtyard lit up with pretty lights and a stunning atrium, it is in a part of London I didn't know existed. Even though we chose the set menu, we were generously given an amuse bouche and also a Cinnamon Bellini. My companion chose the chicken curry and a had a very spicy haddock dish, both exquisitely cooked. The lemon posset was a true treat as were the banana and the pineapple sorbets.
If you've never done upmarket Indian, you should try this. It is exceptional cooking and definitely good value on the set menu
When to the Cinnamon Kitchen as we had been to the Cinnamon Club and was not disappointed.
Staff very friendly and were excellant with the sevice.
When't for the tasting menu everything very good but no really a lover of red deer but everyone to there own.
All in all another good night out.
Great food, overpriced wine
We had a lovely family meal at Cinnamon Kitchen, with excellent service and the most superb food. The only real let down is the wine list, which manages to be wrong in so many ways: it's physically huge and unwieldy, it contains a huge range of wines - far too many for most people - and most of them are incredibly expensive. I read most of the list to try and find if I had a choice of wines under £30. I did, but only just (there's about 3 whites). The bottle we had was nice, but I'd guess it was in no way a £27 bottle of wine. A real shame considering how great everything else was.
Excellent as always!
As ever the food, staff and overall experience was fabulous. Even at very short notice (actually after our reservation time) put back our table as we were running late.
Not your Brick Lane Indian
We thoroughly enjoyed our meal at Cinnamon; the service was very good (essential for a restaurant with above-average prices), the ambience pleasant and the food, as the titles suggests, well above the standard of your average Indian. If you dine here, I would recommend against the obvious choices. The curry was the least enjoyable dish of the meal but the starter and pudding we chose, which you wouldn't find on any menu in Brick Lane, were excellent.
The food was super, I had
The food was super, I had chicken liver and my friend had the fried fruit starter (she was so knocked out that she ordered it again at the end instead of desert). We then had chicken curry as a mains - delicous flavours. The service was marvellous as always and the cocktail was something else. Never disappointed when going there !
Best Indian restaurant...
..I've ever been to. And have been to a lot.
Outstanding food - great service, they make special requests possible.
Excellent meal this week at Cinnamon Kitchen. We had the set menu which was great value for money. Food really interesting I had the char grilled fruit as a starter and it was one of the best things I have eaten in ages.
Lamb was excellent, tender
Lamb was excellent, tender and good quality meat, the sauce was indian style and realy tasty
Great tasting Meal
Myself and my partner decided to try Cinnamon as we both work close by. I thoroughly enjoyed the meal, great taste and excellent value. We both enjoyed the food along with the ambiance and atmosphere. Highly recommend!
Great food, interesting presentatio
Great food, interesting presentation and very friendly service. Terrace tables (in glass-roofed Devonshire Terrace, with heaters in the winter) are especially recommended, but we found that waiters didn't circulate in that part very often, so ordering another drink and asking for the bill took longer than usual.
fourth time - still a winner
can't add much than we had a great dinner (6 of us). we had a fantastic waiter pre-empting our every move. And some nice Gruener Veltliner from south of the globe. (the lamb is always fantastic there, but my co-diners told me the venison was amazing)
A stylish and eclectic mix of Indian flavours with a strong.Southern Indian infuence. Beautiful and flavoursome food.
The waiter was helpful with
The waiter was helpful with the menu. The food was excellent and good value with the top table deal. We had a lovely time and did not feel rushed to leave.
Dinner offer / 3 courses
Went herr with a group of friends for dinner post work. Great food - I had the beef starter, chicken curry for main and a cinnamon type cake for dinner. 3 course for £21 for all of that (+ a cocktail) was very good value, we did think the portions might be small but we werent disappointed - we all ate very well. Service was so-so though.
Booked a family dinner for my Dad's birthday. Service was excellent, food well presented overall. The partridge and deer were not so great - a little too chewy. Good selection and a great way to try different dishes in a group. The modern take on traditional desserts were well executed in particular the kulfi and garam masala pudding. May be a lot more expensive than your average indian but the standard of cooking and service more than makes up for it. Great place for a celebratory meal.
Very pleasant evening and great food. We had the toptable offer which was exceptional value.
We both had beef with peppers
We both had beef with peppers for starters which was very nice, followed by Tilapia with mashed potato, the flavours and preparation of which were fantastic. Ah, and the sorbe for desert - what a treat ! All accompanied by another delicious and different cocktail. Can highly recommend !
lovely night out
We had a lovely meal at Cinnamon kitchen, great service and a good value meal with the Top Table offer. We will definitely go again!
Beyond my high expectations
There were 6 of us and we all had the tasting menu which was fantastic from beginning to end and some of my friends are very difficult to please. Service was also very attentive in which was a Saturday night so a very busy restaurant. I would highly recommend and will definitely be back
Great food and service
Food was really great - took my parents for dinner to celebrate my Dad's birthday. They were great catering for our dietary requirements. Nice surprise bring out a cake and lit candle for my Dad. Overall a great place and experience.
