Great food/ amazing interior
Would definitely recommend, great food, amazing interior. It's pricey so best to keep it for special occasions.
Grat Christmas Lunch
My wife chose Trois Garcons for our annual Christmas lunch - just the two of us.
We felt welcomed, well looked after, helpfully informed and well fed. The ambiance is pretty unique and adds to the occasion. The food was all interesting, properly cooked and beautifully presented.
We would recommend it and are planning to return for dinner when we expect it will be even more atmospheric and special.
Excellent Christmas lunch !
My husband and I went to Les Trois Garcons for our private Christmas lunch on Friday. Maitre d', Ambiance, food and wines absolutely brilliant - worth the price. Will definitely go back with a group of like-minded foodie friends.
My colleagues and I enjoyed
My colleagues and I enjoyed a very nice Xmas lunch at the restaurant. The decor is fun and the ambience was good. We all enjoyed our food and felt while not quite Michelin star standard was still very good. The vension main course was excellent and very tasty. Service is efficient and the waitress gave some good advice on the food and wine. Would definitely return with my wife on a saturday night.
Great customer service
We went to Les Trois Garcon for the lunch menu but sadly this wasn't available for December. However when we told them that there hadn't been anything saying this either on Toptable or their website they very kindly said we could have 20% off our bill. The restaurant always looks brilliant which is why we took our friend visiting from New York however the place was a little quieter than usual and so didn't have the same feel as when you go in the evening. The food was also a little less exciting than I remembered although the scallop starter was absolutely delicious and looked beautiful.
A lovely quirky restaurant, great menu and very good service - I will be returning!
Beautiful Food , awful music...
This was our 3rd visit to LTG and as usual the food was absolutely amazing and the service was lovely. The scallops and artichoke for starters was very good and the chateaubriand was outstanding, perfectly cooked and full of flavour. Desert of chocolate mousse with mulled wine sorbet was beautiful. The rose champange was delicious, as was the Albarino with the starter and Cote du Rhone with the main. But.............the music was AWFUL !!! Dull, depressing and completely unsuitable for a beautiful restaurant of this calibre and especially so close the the holiday season. What a shame !!
Decent food, friendly staff, great wine, reasonable value. Good camp fun
Absolutely exquisite food, beautifully served in a wonderfully quirky environment. We had Fois Gras for starters which was stunning; the Chateaubriand and venison were both joyous and then we had some marvellous cocktails in lieu of dessert as we were so full! Wonderful understated service - someone was always on hand if we needed anything.
Try the tasting menu
We had the prestige tasting menu with matched wine in Les Trois Garcons. The food was outstanding, with every course being very tasty, well presented, having good balance of flavours and textures. The wine choices I thought were slightly less special.
The service was friendly and attentive. The only criticism would be that not all staff serving the wine could tell us much about it. I would have liked to have more of a conversation about the wines I was served and why the choice was made for those particular dishes.
Overall, the experience was superb and although on a pricey side, I would definitely recommend this to the foodies out there for a special occasion. The surroundings add a flavour of eccentricity to the experience.
As usual, the service and food is of a very high standard. Wonderful restaurant, can truly recommend it.
Dined here on Friday, superb restaurant and great menu. Food and service were excellent.
It is a very quirky restaurant and very different from the "norm", would definitely recommend it without hesitation.
As always, a great menu to choose from, great food and superb service.
Will definitely eat here again!
Will definitely eat here again! Fantastic food, friendly staff, wonderful venue and all round great experience.
Was a wonderful experience, the service was particularly fantastic.
Everything was amazing. The food was delicious and perfectly balanced. The wine was great and affordable. We really enjoyed the atmosphere with the maitre doing just the right amount of chat and space. I'm not sure there is anything they can improve on.
Unique style, great food
We went there for a special occasion, looking for something different, and found it. The venue is a late Victorian East End pub transformed with a decor featuring stiffed animals, costume jewellery, wild chandeliers, and handbags suspended from the ceiling - theatrical staying just the right side of kitsch. The food is high quality, with a menu based on classic French cuisine with Asian touches. The service had the right combination of professionalism and friendliness. Excellent wine list. The foiei gras with tarte tatine accompanied by Canaddian ice cider (think fortified wine version of calvados) was superb.
You visit this place for the fine & unusual furnishings. If you don't like taxidermy (tiger, giraffe, bulldog etc etc) give it a miss & have a think just why that is. Very good friendly service, nice food, great wine.
Decent Place with nice interior
Decent Place with nice interior design.
Perfect food and service.
Dined here with two American friends who loved it. The food was of very high quality and the service was also extremely good.

We had the tasting menu with matching wines which was great value for money. The service was great, food was lovely and wine portions were huge. The decor is very fascinating. I would recommend this venue.
Shoreditch 5 star eating.
Shoreditch 5 star eating. Tasting menu with all varieties, excellent atmosphere with similar serving. What else can you ask.
A Wonderful Evening
Everything about the experience was great. Our waitrose was absolutely lovely and not at all intimidating as some fine dining establishments can be.
The food was wonderful, all three courses were absolute taste sensations.
Wonderful food and service
Expensive, but incredible food and very welcoming staff
Excellent all round
As you walk through the door to the restaurant the decor is the first thing to impress! The array of wall decoration giving you plenty to appreciate! We were given a tasty amuse bouche while we waited. The starter I had (foie gras) was delicious! Like a small tase if heaven! My husband and I shared the chateau briand which was a mound of meaty heaven cooked to perfection(rare). It melted in the mouth! I slso loved the tiny pots the potatoes came in! I can't remember exactly what I had for dessert but it was chocolatey with popping candy and absolutely Divine! The service was also brilliant! Very attentive and polite and staff were on hand to make suggestions!
Still going strong
I had not been to Les Trois Garçons for a few years and was pleasantly surprises to find that it is still an amazing restaurant with great food, really excellent service and in such a great space. Anyone looking for a location for a date or anniversary or other romantic occasion, you cannot go wrong here!
An amazing experience
We decided to celebrate our 20th anniversary at Les Trois Garcons and had very high expectations. We were certainly not disappointed in any way. The service was incredible, the food fantastic and the ambience and decor absolutely delightful.
The staff really went out of their way to ensure that every aspect of our evening was exceptional and even delighted us with a petit fours plate with Happy 20th Anniversary piped on it - just one of many touches which made the evening so memorable.
I really can't praise Les Trois Garcons enough. For us it is not an every day venue but most certainly the best place to go for a celebration - I can't wait for the next visit! Thanks so much to all concerned!
earlybird quite good but overpriced
My wife and I had the early bird deal and overall it was good. The food quality was good and the service was ok. The ambience is well known and we like it. However, there were a few negative points: my asparagus soup had very little flavour, offset a bit by the superb poached ducks egg. My wifes main course (vegatable tarte) was good except for the peas which so hard they were inedible. They were like bullets.
Things can go wrong in the best of places so the real test of a good place is how they deal with issues. Les Trois Gargons was lacking in that area. First of all, they did not apologise, at least not right away. They tried to explain the problem away.
Went to Les Trois Garçons
Went to Les Trois Garçons few times the food was still excellent but the service was not ideal think they need to train the waiter / waitress to be more professional.
The dessert smashed it!
Wonderful starter of spring roll with sweetbreads, which was crispy, full of flavour and moreish; also ate half of my girlfriends apple tart tatin with foie gras, which was sweet, smooth and the pastry was top-notch.
Main courses were lovely; the lamb had a twist with the coconut, and was beautifully pink and tender.
The dessert, though, was the prize; ICED NOUGAT WITH PASSION FRUIT. IT IS TO DIE FOR.
Thanks for a great dinner.
Great food; better service!
Took my girlfriend here for her birthday. We were visiting London for the bank holiday weekend and wanted somewhere unique to eat. I ordered the taster menu for both of us prior to going to London. Absolutely sensational!! The sweetbread and crayfish spring roll was delicious! The service was brilliant with everyone incredibly attentive and humourus. Having stated on my reservation that it was my girlfriend's birthday, the team wrote 'happy birthday' on Claire's dessert plate and had a candle in the corner; a really nice touch that neither of us expected.
Would definitely go again as the good was exemplary and the service was beyond what I would expect.
Me and my boyfriend had dinner on Saturday to celebrate our birthdays and we couldn't choose better.
The ambience was great, love the decor, and the service amazing. Our waitress was always smiley, very helpful with the explanation of the menu and really made us feel like at home.
We found that the food unfortunately was a little under our expectations but overall, we definitely enjoy our time!
A great atmosphere
Good food (Veal and Lobster) and wine but unfortunately nothing special for the desserts.
Great place. The decor was most certainly different. A good change from the clinical modern places. To be recommended
Excellent food, fantastic service
Very impressed with Les Trois Garcons. Top notch French fare, in gorgeous surroundings, served by charming, friendly staff. Highly recommended!
Excellent food / small portions.
Great atmosphere with plenty of things to take in even before the menu arrives. Not too many choices on the many so you may struggle if you are fussy!. We had the crab and tuna to start which were lovely, but the crab could have been a bigger portion! Main course were excellent but could have been warmer but the excellent attentive service over rides this. The staff are friendly and knowledgable but as the restaurant filled up they are spread thinly. There are some many different attention to details which made this a great night, the extra bread, the little mini starter and the petit fours, but I would have liked to have been offered coffee!
Excellent night, especially for a special event and I would recommend Trois Garcon to anyone!
I went to les trois garcon
I went to les trois garcon for my birthday and wasn't disappointed at all. The ambience is so unique and quirky, food amazing and the staff very polite and made fun and friendly conversation with us. would recommend again to friends and family.
bliss and rapture
One of the best meals we have ever had and really nice people. Quite extraordinary decor - would need to go back again to appreciate it all properly.
Fantastic menu and great friendly
Fantastic menu and great friendly service in quirky (in a good way) surroundings. Recommended!
piked for its eclectic interiro
piked for its eclectic interiro and different menu to celebrate a specail occasion. The food was very nice , usual ingredient combos but they worked.
Quirky Style plus Good Food
The service from the start was good, the lady that served us was friendly and made us feel welcome. The food was very good especially the fois grais as the starter which was our highlight of the meal. The main and dessert was just as good. Highly recommend this place if you love French food.
The food was delicious, the
The food was delicious, the atmosphere fun despite being half-full on a Friday night, and the service some of the best I can remember. It's pricey, but worth it. I would highly recommend.
Eclectic Shoreditch French dining
The ambience was excellent. The food was original and very accomplished. Each dish had a slight Asian twist to the classic French which was very refreshing. Well executed and delivered by informed and friendly staff. Great wines by the glass too. It was an absolute pleasure to have a long, boozy and leisurely Anniversary lunch in such elegant and eclectic surroundings while the rain outside soaked Shoreditch!
Réservez ...longtemps à l'avance !
Excellent dîner dans une ambiance détendue. Très bon service, efficace mais pas guindé. Carte des vins très correcte. Cuisine raffinée et inventive. Déco "cabinet de curiosités". Très bonne adresse.
Great food and atmosphere
Les Trois Garçons has an awesome, quirky and cozy atmosphere. After sipping a vanilla-scented soup elegantly served in espresso cups we were served our starters: seared tuna with salad, and a soup which was poured on the croutons directly at the table. Both of us were very happy, and happily went on to our main course which was the fish of the day for both: a fillet of hake with an orange cream, served on a bed of cous cous. Divine. We washed our meal with a fantastic, fruity Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand. Our desserts were nice too - even if they were probably the most 'average' part of our meal - we had chocolate sponge pudding and a crème brulée. Service was very attentive and nice and we appreciated that a lot.
A friend and I dined at Les Trois Garcons on Friday evening last week and it was the most memorable dining experience we have ever had. It began with a warm welcome by the friendly waitress who's treatment made us feel special. She assisted us with choosing dishes and was helpful with advising us on the appropriate wine for our choice of food. The atmosphere was perfect for a romantic meal for two. The décor was eclectic and quirky in a fashionable way. At no point did we feel rushed with our table and our meal was exceptional, as promised. We will be returning on our next visit to Shoreditch and we will be recommending Les Trois Garcons to friends. In comparison to the disappointing Le Caprice, Les Trois Garcons was exceptional!
The most outstanding service
The ambiance at this restaurant is fantastic--like the inside of a Victorian collector's sitting room, the food is interesting and well presented, and the service is OUTSTANDING. From the minute we walked in and were greeted by the lovely French maitre d' to the absolutely extraordinary attention we received from our gorgeous French waitress the staff out did themselves in making our daughter's 21st dinner really special--thank you!
We had a very, very nice dinner at the restaurant. We found it through London Town, WHO had them on a list of most romantic restaurants in London. We agree, it is very romantic, and the food is also excellent.
