Can't beat gaucho
Best steak in London and lots of choice on menu. Expensive but great for a special occasion.
Not a steak person but this was amazing!! Great experience andgreat atmosphere loved it! You get what you pay for!
Excellent service and the
Excellent service and the food was delicious. Beer was fab too. Very pleased! It was a friends Birthday and a small bowl of ice cream can out with a candle.
Great touch that went down very well.
We were greeted with a smile and quickly shown to our table. Our waitress was excellent (if only she could be at every restaurant we attend). She was knowledgeable of the food and wine; and recommended an excellent Malbec to accompany our meal. She was friendly and very attentive, pouring our wine and water throughout our meal.
The food was cooked to perfection.
The ambience was brilliant.
All in all, a wonderful evening.
The price is a tad on the high side, but our meal and our evening was well worth every penny spent.
Also, gratuity is not automatically added, therefore, allowing patrons to choose their own level based on the service etc.
As an indication of what we thought, we left 25%
Booked a Table for 6.30pm as we were going to Mickey Flanagan , who started at 8. Arrived in time and finally got seated at 7pm, reception host was excellent - apologised and sent drinks over to apologise.
Sat down, ordered promptly but sat waiting until the senior manager spotted that we hadn't eaten the place was emptying. Came over, apologised and went to see why - they had dropped a meal and so they had cooked the entire order to ensure we ate together.... Obviously this meant we risked missing the start of Mickey so had to rush the meal, which was for my wife's birthday.
Quick as a flash they cancelled our entire bill, apologised profoundly and as we left stood by the lift to apologise again and wish us a pleasant eve.
Good for show time
Had a very good meal at gaucho last weekend before a show at the O2. Remember to book early though as they get busy really quickly for the pre-show slots
perfect before a consert.
perfect before a consert. perfect for å drink after a consert. just perfect!!!
Overall very satisfied with the dinning experience. Loved that the waiter explained the cuts of meat and specials for the day at our table and knew the menu well. Timings between courses were just right and the meal was delicious. Both had steak and both exactly how we asked for them. Tasted delicious without any need for sauce. Only negative comment would be that the waitress asked us to take our drinks to the downstairs bar to finish them rather than at the table. Felt like we were being hurried along so they could free up a table.
Would recommend to a friend and would dine there again.
Great venue for a pre-concert meal
Perfect place to get some good food at the O2. The Empanades were excellent, as was the Gaucho burger but the salt baked chicken was the star. Really buzzy place with excellent service even though the place was full, you need to book if there is a show on at the O2. We booked a table for 18:15, were sat down by 18:30 and had finished the meal and were in the concert by 20:00 without ever feeling rushed. Very noisy and very dark (older readers please remember to take your reading glasses!) but this does create a good atmosphere. Only complaint was that the fries were too salty even for me and I love salt. Overall would thoroughly recommend but it is not a cheap option at £85 for two courses, two beers and two glasses of wine.
Quality once again.
This branch of Gaucho never fails to impress. Great service, great food and a nice atmosphere make for a very, very good experience. Always a winner !
The best place to go at O2
As soon as you enter the restaurant you almost forget that you're in O2. It's very busy but you are not rushed at all, and the staff are all well-trained and the service is immaculate. Even though Gaucho is chain, each Gaucho is very different and this branch is definitely one of my favourite in terms of atmosphere, quality of food and service. We enjoyed Ceviche and Provoleta for starters and steak was cooked perfectly, too. We enjoyed our dinner so much that we nearly missed the concert! It's well overpriced for what they are, but out of all restaurants at O2, I will definitely choose Gaucho again.
Great service and food!
Very impressed with the waiters knowledge of the menu and how they explained the different cuts of beef. The staff were very welcoming and helpful.
Perhaps not the best choice for a vegetarian! The food was delicious.
We visited the restaurant prior to a gig (of which was postponed) for my fiance's 30th birthday and felt like we were spoilt rotten. The service was just amazing, friendly, our waiter was very knowledgeable with regards to the wines and food and was very professional. We were made to feel very special and our dessert came out decorated for the birthday celebrations along with complementary dessert wine. The efforts made by the staff to make it a relaxing, special evening was impeccable and I have since been raving about it. Cant wait to go back!
My partner and I had an amazing evening, the food and service was second to none! Would most definitely recommend a visit!
'In between birthdays'
Gauchos rung me on the morning we were due to dine with them. I was asked if we were celebrating anything and I told them that me and my husbands birthdays are two months apart and we like to celebrate 'in between' in some way; so the message was obviously passed along to our very attentive waiter, Peter', who made sure we had lighted candles in our deserts, and who also wished us happy 'in between' birthdays! If its your first time to a Gauchos all the different cuts of beef are explained to you, making it easier to choose your perfect meal. It was a great experience and needless to say the food was delicious.
I brought with me two 8 year olds who were in awe of the place.
Excellent service, great food, friendly staff and a great atmosphere.
Would recommend for all occasions.
Food was extremely good and all waiters / waitresses were very helpful and chatty. Perhaps a slightly more relaxed atmosphere would improve the experience.
Redemption in the finest form
Prior to my most recent visit, the last time I had been to Gaucho (More London) was a couple years ago. My experience had been appalling and the steak, was for me far below the standard I was accustomed to. As it was my wife's birthday and Gaucho being one of her favourites, I took the risk and booked again at Gaucho (02). To my surprise and pleasure the marinated filet was superb and the ambience truly enabled an intimate and romantic atmosphere, despite the number of diners. On top of that, when the bill came, I was a bit amused that the meal wasn't near what I had automatically expected (granted we didn't have a bottle).
Reputation truly redeemed, I am looking forward to my next visit.
O2 Gaucho - Awesome dining
An amazing restaurant with a fab setting. The staff were awesome and attentive without being overly so. The food was to die for and the portion size generous.
If you want a restaurant that makes you feel a million dollars, and then feeds you with wonderful food in glamorous setting, that will leave you feeling satisfied, then this is your place. If your reading this review....just book and go. This is definitely a place to experience and eat before your die.
Meet you meat
First time to Gaucho despite being a hugh steak fan. Had excellent service from Peter our waiter, who also threw in a few jokes for good measure. A nice touch was the meat board, where the different cuts of meat were shown and described. Steaks were lovely and cooked to perfection
Sunday Lunch With Style!!
Have been to Gauchos in Piccadilly before but needed a restaurant for Sunday Lunch near to City Airport!!We booked but didn't need to as really this is an evening venue. All the staff were friendly and service was superb. the food is great if you like meat!Spectacular decor--Chandeliers and Cowhide!!Good experience!!
great pre-tennis eating experience
attentive service, delicious steak cooked as we ordered & interesting side dishes accompanied by one of the cheaper Malbecs on the list which was excellent - unfortunately we didn't have room for afters. Great ambiance although, like all Gaucho restaurants, it's so dark that our old eyes had difficulty reading the menus.
Delicious food and great service
Delicious food and great service from knowledgeable staff
Best steak outside Argentina!
Excellent, attentive and informative service without being intrusive.
perfect post show meal
as always gaucho delivers fantastic food served with flair and style, great for steak lovers but plenty for the non meat eater and all washed down with beautiful Argentinian wine. it may be expensive but you get what you pay for. most importantly the service is slick and efficient, perfect if you are off to see a performance at the O2 and are on a time limit.
We had a fantastic meal at Gaucho before an evening tennis match. The food we managed to order was excellent but it was so dark in the restaurant we couldn't read the menu properly so we don't really know what we missed! Please sort the lighting (or provide torches!) as otherwise we'd love to come back again and again!
Expensive but well worth the
Expensive but well worth the experience and opportunity to try something very special.
An exquisite experience
Firstly the decor is elegant and really gives you a sense of grandure plus the layout is splendid - you have freedom and don't feel like your invading another person space. Staff are excellent as they anticipate your every move like a Chess Master (bravo)
The cocktail bar is cool with a nice vibe and the cocktails are a treat.
The food is AMAZING, and you get value for what you eat.
The ANCHO (rib eye) steak is the best I've ever eaten.
It's a show stopper for a surprise night out with the Mrs.
Food and service fantastic
Food and service fantastic as every only coment I would ahve its too dark for those with ageing eyes. Heard several people of simialr age make a similar comment.
A great venue
To complete an O2 experience this the only place to eat. Fabulous staff, good food and great wine. What else do you need?
Great food, please don't upsell
The food was delicious, service pretty good too.
It was let down only by the over use (IMHO) of upselling techniques.
A good steak house
Eaten here a few times and each visit, we leave very happy. Staff, food and service all very good.
My first visit to a Gaucho's, but had been wanting to come for a long time. The restaurant and food are fantastic, service was good, and was really worth the wait.
A little mouthful of heaven!
As always the steaks really are a little piece of heaven. The flavour is like no steak I have ever had before. Wouldn't order a steak anywhere else now! Fantastic creme brûlée also!!! Melt in your mouth. Great service and fantastic decor!!! Thank you
Had a great meal prior to 02 concert - pity the show wasn't of the same high standard
Took clients who were impressed
Took clients who were impressed with the steaks, really are second to none and cooked to everyone's taste
Amazing food, helpful staff with knowledge of food and wine, mad the evening special
Perfect start to a great night
Highly professional service at all times, attentive staff and first class service. Venue was modern, clean and great atmosphere in the bar and restaurant.
A real experience
If you like steak, you must try Gaucho. The staff are well educated and can help you if you're not entirely sure what you're after and the quality is amazing.
Visited here on Friday 22nd November lovely waitress very attentive.
Food was delicious and explained very well to me and my partner who dont eat out a lot.
Steak was so tender no steak knives needed 3 course meal with cocktails for £150 well worth the money.
Food was great and service was even better, will definitely be back !
Excellent meal before Concert
We enjoyed a fabulous meal at Gaucho before attending a concert. We had the Argentine prawn starter and ceviche sampler. A particular favourite was the tuna ceviche.
Breads and dip were varied and delicious.
We ordered a variety (perhaps too much between two) of four side dishes with sauces together with a large rib-eye and a spiral cut sirloin steak. Both were excellent in all respects.
My wife had a cachaca based cocktail to start (Pommelina?), which she enjoyed, and the wine we chose, a blend of two classic Argentinian grapes, was beautifully soft and appropriate to what we had ordered
Service was attentive and quick, but not rushed, which is what we wanted
Gaucho is not cheap, but for a special occasion, it is worth the experience
Another great meal
Excellent as always , the service and food was outstanding .
Atmosphere was great .
Our waitress was charming, friendly , and made us feel at home .
Keep up the excellent standards .
From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, we were well looked after. 2 staff, Viktor, our initial server, and Dominika, front of house, normally from Gaucho Chelsea, were especially helpful
steak, chips and a cool vibe
Sometimes all a body wants is a plate of good steak and chips and a decent bottle of red. Gaucho O2 delivered both in a cool ambience. We arrived early and had a drink at the bar before being shown to our table upstairs. Our waiter Dalton was informative and charming. He explained all the different cuts and ways of cooking. Our meal arrived quickly and was stunning We washed it down with an excellent bottle of Malbec. We had to race off to watch a concert so unfortunately didn't have time to sample any puddings, but that is a good excuse to go back!
The Best Steaks in Town
Excellent Argentinian steaks , youy pay a bit more for the quality.Excellent evening Great Food , Great Staff .Highly Recommended
Booked the retaurant as a birthday present for my wife as we were going to a concert at the O2.
From the moment we arrived it was special the food was excellent and the service was also cannot praise the place enough.
I went for my birthday and I absolutely loved it! The service was great, friendly and informative. The food was outstanding! I had a filler steak and it just melted into your mouth- it was cooked to perfection and I would definately recommend the broken potatoes! And the decor was just the icing on the cake. Very relaxed and trendy! I definately plan to go again!
2 at the Gaucho at the O2
Wanted a quick meal before seeing a comedian at the O2, service was very effiecient and the steaks are always good.
After a bad start (not having
After a bad start (not having right number of places set despite pre booking and telling us our table was ready for 7 people and waiter dropping things) the service improved. Fantastic food and great ambience. Be prepared for deep pockets but well worth it. Great for pushing the boat out and would definitely recommend. It was my daughters birthday and she thoroughly enjoyed it.
