As someone who doesn't really like steak, and for my first time at gaucho, I can definitely say I'll be back! I have clearly never had proper steak before!!! This was a birthday treat for my fiancé, and the staff even put a candle in his his dessert for him and sang a quick rendition of Happy Birthday, without being asked! Excellent service, brilliant staff, loved every minute!
Gaucho Broadgate - Superb
Four of us, business lunch, food fantastic.
Was concerned as lovely sunny day and Gaucho is underground but there is a stairwell which lets lots of light in, after the meal sat outside for a cocktail in the sun, lovely :)
A great steak
The Broadgate restaurant has a good atmosphere and ambience and the steak as always was just fab!
We had a meal at Gauchos and the ambience was exceptional. the service is excellent. the food was well cooked and delicious. the only downside i would say was the fact that it was slightly pricey.
A wonderful experience, great service and just the right amount of attention. Excellent menu and very highly recommended.
A great gastronomic experience and even if you don't eat beef there are several other choices. Service is impeccable, you don't get any better.
Entertaining clients and our host couldn't have been better, from the Czech Republic she spoke impeccable English and was entertaining, very friendly and extremely attentive. We all went on our way into the night very pleased with the experience.
Right from the moment you walk in the door the staff at Gaucho are fabulous. We had a drink at the bar before our meal. The wait staff recommended a cocktail which was delicious. Our waitress was very attentive, showing us the different cuts of meat, recommending a wine to accompany the meal. We had a lovely evening and the service made the night very special.
Great food and great service
We had the taster sets of steaks and they were absolutely awesome. The meat was real quality, cooked superbly and just melted in the mouth, it gave you the chance to taste 3 of the steaks which was great as I could not make my mind up! The starters were lovely and desserts were great, oh and the cocktails just added to the whole experience!
Took my girlfriend there for her birthday and the girl we had serving us was lovely and really took care of us. The food was outstanding and the wine was lovely. I suggest this for anyone looking to score points.
I had arranged a collegue's
I had arranged a collegue's leaving lunch for a party of nine, and after the lunch we could not be more happier with the food or the service provided. The staff was well informed about the cuts and the wine. The service was unintrusive, polite and very efficient.
I would definitely revisit Gaucho's in the near future.
I have eaten here before and was pleased. But this time I was a bit disappointed. I ordered a blue steak and it came out as Medium well. I can't believe a steak house would get this so wrong. They quickly brought me a new steak and new sides but it was a disappointment to have to wait while my friends were eating. Also, they sat us in the table right next to the door, when there were several other tables available. I don't know anyone that likes the table next to the door.
Expensive but worth every penny
Not for vegetarians, but if like eating our farmyard friends then this has to be one of the best in London, not cheap but you get what you pay for.
Not a place for vegetarians!
Not a place for vegetarians! Great for carnivores.
I went with two business colleagues for dinner during the week. It was busy but not full and had a good atmosphere. The Chorizo starter was very tasty and varied. I'm glad we shared as it would be a meal on it's own for one. I had a butterfly Rib Eye steak to follow, which was very tasty, and the accompanying mushroom were delicious.
Service in the restaurant was good, but very slow in the bar upstairs when we arrived. Took ages to be served drinks and then a long time for them to arrive, which nearly made me leave.
Lunch wioth IT guys
Superb food! Perfectly cooked steaks...
I am Ecuadorian, and the ceviche was quite close to our national dish, but not quite there yet!
Great food but don't sit outside
We had a really lovely meal at Gaucho, food great, service great. Experience however was spoilt slightly but uncomfortable outside chair and the noise from nearby building site. Sit inside!
We took our son to celebrate his graduation, a proper treat. We started with Claridge coctails all round and the had the tuna and prawn cerviches recommended by the waitress were fantastic, refreshingly cool and so tasty. The steaks as always tasty and tender and the sides very nice.
The service was very good, nothing too much to ask for.
A great way to celebrate.
Great steak, overpriced
I visited Gaucho with a work colleague. I had the special starter (lobster in a pancake wrap) followed by the tasting platter. Each cut had its own distinct flavour and was nice and juicy. The service was initially impeccable. We were greeted by several waitresses upon arrival, led to our table and were checked upon regularly. Staff made themselves known to us. However, after we had finished our meal the service seemed to decline and it took some time to get the attention of the staff to get the bill. Overall the food was nice, but not so nice that it can command the high prices. I've eaten equally nice, if not better food, at less expensive restaurants in London that were in equally ambient settings.
excellent but empty on a Saturday
well worth a visit, service & food was excellent....and walking distance from Liverpool street station, BUT.......its in the city which is empty on weekends. we went on a Saturday evening and it was empty . so go on a week day unless you like eating alone.
The service was excellent and no matter how often I visit Gauchos the explanation of the cuts of meats and how to have them cooked never gets dull.
As always the steak was amazing.
It is a little on the pricey side, but if the meeting or event is important this will definitely do the job.
Beautiful meal for our fifth wedding anniversary food, wine and service excellent. Pricey, but you get what you pay for.
The Steak was amazing, as
The Steak was amazing, as always!! The waitresses were extremely friendly and the service was excellent. We were celebrating my sons birthday, and the staff went out of heir way to make it special for him. Still our favourite place to eat out in London.
Best Steak I've ever had!
I took my girlfriend here for her 21st birthday, everything about the meal was perfect, the staff were attentive and you could tell that they all (even the ones who we did not come into contact with) enjoyed their jobs. They were enthusiastic and knowledgeable about the food and wine that they were selling. We shared a starter, each had a steak for main and shared a pudding, all courses were perfectly cooked and very enjoyable. I also informed the staff that it was my girlfriend's 21st and they brought a complimentary glass of dessert wine for her. Absolutely impeccable service, I can't compliment the staff enough.
Surprised by the warm welcome from all the staff. Food was decent, but not to die for. Again, great experience due to the hospitable and friendly staff.
If you like your steaks and are on an expense allowance, this is the place to go
Lovely succulent Fillet steak, attentive service and amazing cheese bread.
Will be back!
A great place for any MEATing
The staff here are extremely professional and helpful and if you are looking for a good steak this is obviously the place to come. Have in the past tried other plates on their menu but really one should come here for the meat, which is always beautifully cooked and where there is also a great deal of choice between which cut to choose from. The meal is a little pricey at nearly £55 per person for just a main course with sides and one glass of wine. Sides are quite small I must say, particularly any of the servings of potatoes. I did find the table that we were given a romantic setting however I see this restaurant as a better place to go and visit for an evening business meal. All in all a good restaurant to visit!
Not an Argentine on staff
Although the service was excellent, impeccable, actually, our waitress had no idea how to pronounce the dishes or wines. They had no parrillada! The provoleta wasn't authentic. It would be nice if they added panqueques de dulce de leche on the dessert menu. However, all this is minor. I took a friend and wanted the experience to be special and that's exactly what it was. The waitresses attended us with just the right amount of care without interrupting our conversation. We were there for hours and felt absolutely no pressure to leave. Final grade? Superb. Thanks, Gaucho!.
Perfect venue although can be hard to find on the first visit. Separate bar upstairs which is great if you still want to stay and relax after your meal. Staff are very well informed, excellent service, very good food. Will definitely go back.
I took my girlfriend there for her birthday and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The service was brilliant at the start of our meal but I feel that was only because we went early. As the evening went on and it got busier, we did get forgotten about slightly. I wouldn't let that put me off from going again though, the steak was the best I have ever had, the flavouring and texture were perfect. It was a little expensive(95 for two courses for a couple) and we only drank water! But it was a special occasion and worth every penny. It is worth spending the evening there as the restaurant is beautiful to look at and really great atmosphere. Would definitely go again.
Gaucho in Broadgate
Another satisfying steak lunch at Gaucho. Went for the rib eye top side which was good but not as good as my colleagues standard rib eye. Asparagus on special was very good. Will return
Excellent steak, excellent service
Make no mistakes, this place is expensive and for the most part you get what you pay for. Steaks were sublime, staff were extremely professional, understanding that fine balance between too much or too little service, attentive but not intrusive. Our party had guests from brazil, do we were assigned Portuguese speaking waitress who was excellent. Negatives... Well the sides were average and the chips downright terrible. We also managed to rack up a hefty water bill at nearly £5 per bottle, so be careful! Overall the sheer quality of the meat, the wine and the service shone through. Highly recommended!
Great location for the city. Steaks never fail to impress and the corn in corn leaves is delicious.
I booked this restaurant for
I booked this restaurant for a special occasion - my boyfriend's Birthday and it was a great pick! We really enjoyed it! Food was really nice. My boyfriend had meat and I - fish. It was very tasty, fresh and well prepared. Service was great and we tasted different wines before selecting the ones we liked. It was Argentinean wine we went for: white and red. The ambiance was good, we just found it a little bit dark - was difficult to read the menu. Thankfully the service assistant came with a plateau of meat explaining different types of meat cuts, and at the same time explaining us what was on the menu. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to my friends! Thank you!!
Great food, super service, I cannot fault this very very good restaurant.
The best steaks we have ever had in London and we've had quite a few.
Better than the other Gouchos we have been to, more discrete and sophisticated than the large Swallow Street Goucho.
Super wine list.
Excellent reception on arriving.
I've been to a lot of high quality and posh restaurants before, but our evening at gaucho absolutely blew my mind. The food was breathtaking. From the complimentary bread, to the starter, over to the main, finished with the perfect dessert. It couldn't have been any better. I've had high expectations going into the main meal, which was a 400g beef fillet, and the first bite literally made me chuckle out of disbelief. It was better than I could have ever imagined a steak to taste like. We've ordered a huge meal including amazing wines and I was expecting the bill to go through the roof. That wasn't the case at all. Plus, the staff was incredibly friendly, helpful and well trained. Not a doubt the best dinner experience I've had so far.
We are French and the waitress was unfriendly, it does not put us at ease, she was not with us as with other customers.
Excellent meal and service. Good wine. Deliciouse deserts. Just a little bit dark inside, maybe, cause it's at underground floor and has black decor. This restaurant is hard to find if not knowing the exact spot due to construction nearby.
Nice meal but should have had steak
Had a lovely meal, but having has steak on three previous nights we decided to go for lighter options of Ceviche sampler followed by lamb and monkfish main courses. Whilst they were ok, we both admitted really Gaucho is about the meat dishes. I love Gaucho so will definitely return to sample other items on the menu. Service was excellent.
I loved the relax feel to Gaucho. The decoration & dim lighting was great too. I had prawns to start which were lovely and Rump steak as main.... which melted in my mouth. My waitress was absolutely amazing, very friendly and helpful. The price was great too. Would defiantly go back and recommend to every steak lover :)
No longer a Gaucho virgin..........
As you can tell by the title this was my first visit to Gaucho, Broadgate was recommended by a colleague so we tried that one over the Tower Bridge Gaucho. Really friendly and welcoming staff and the menu was just the right size and having all the cuts of meat explained really helped. Couldn't fault the service very relaxed and you don't ever feel pushed or rushed. we ordered Ceviche Sampler to start very fresh and tasty although at first I thought it would be small however the mains (steak clearly) was big enough so the starter was just right. For main we had CHURRA SCO DE CHORIZO and TAPA DE ANCHO which were amazing. This is the first restaurant I’ve had steak in and not had a steak knife now I know why as it melts in your mouth.....
Top steaks at Gaucho
The usual great service, fab steaks and super Malbecs!
Alternative to other steak houses
We usually go to other well known steak houses for business lunch. We picked Gaucho this time because of its location. It doesn't disappoint, especially on the services. The steaks are nicely cooked with good alternative choices for people who don't want steaks as well.
Dinner at Gaucho
Excellent cured fish starters with some of the best beef mains available in London. The steaks are some of the best I have had in London and are cooked to perfection. Extensive wine list, but also an absolutely fantastic choice of wines by the glass (not cheap but very good quality).
Fantastic food, amazing service
Gaucho is always my restaurant of choice when visiting London.I treated my boyfriend to a meal at the Gaucho Broadgate for his birthday and he loved it - the best meal of his life :) The service was first-class, from the lovely host upstairs who paid me a lovely compliment (nothing better than starting your evening with a little ego boost :)) to our waitress who was very professional, friendly and very helpful. I don't eat meat anymore (I know, I know..) but she was able to give me great advice and I enjoyed amazing cerviches! The wine was fantastic - my craft-beer-lover-Irish boyfriend converted to wine that night and we even got free champagne for his birthday. This dinner was the icing on the cake of a fabulous weekend! Thank you!
if I had to the only negative point would be that the round table for 4 people was a little bit too small and restaurant was a bit dark, maybe you could sit down at the bar upstairs and order your food then be taken down in that lovely glass lift. but apart from that the steak was amazing and the staff were very accommodating.
Gaucho has become my "go to" restaurant. Particularly good for business meetings, or parties of friends. Just a great place with plenty of atmosphere. The staff are all fantastic. And each and every person knows their food inside out. The wine list accompanies whatever you're eating and if you're not sure your waiter/ waitress will be able to help you choose.
If you like your steak (and I do) then there is no better place in London.
Lively Friday at Gaucho
A Friday evening meal at Gaucho, Broadgate is not for the faint-hearted. The bar, especially, and the restaurant are packed with City slickers celebrating the end of their working week. It's lively - so if lively is what you want then it's great. The food is reliable, the steaks are first class and the service is friendly and pretty efficient. If you're out for a celebration then Friday evening at Gaucho is as good a place as any.
Absolutely outstanding service!
Absolutely outstanding service! Great waitress!!! Thank you
A really good meal. We are looking forward to trying the Manchester branch.
