Hawksmoor Seven Dials is a restaurant space that feels like it has been there for a hundred years. Interior architects Macaulay Sinclair have created a stunning 50-cover bar and a 142-cover restaurant. The cavernous interior retains some of the original features including the vaulted brick ceiling and a series of Victorian cast iron columns, enhanced by the architects’ use of reclaimed materials throughout, such as the parquet floor, chemistry lab tops which have become bar tables, and numerous old doors from train stations and hotels. Tiles were sourced from London Underground restoration suppliers, with the English peacock blue of the dining chairs, bar stools and banquettes adding some colour. Clever use of lighting, from the Viennese Hoffman lamps that softly illuminate the pewter bar to the warm glow that subtly enhances the vaulted ceiling in the restaurant, creates the perfect atmosphere in which to enjoy the legendary steaks. The Perfect space for any event.
