Our table was ready and we were seated within moments of arriving at the restaraunt. We had the set menu which included a complimentary glass of wine which was certainly value for money. The beef starter was exceptionally tasty and the chicken for main course was crispy on the outisde and succulent on the inside. Absolutely divine. Refuel at the Soho Hotel is nothing like this. Five of us went for dinner on a Saturday night and it fitted the bill perfectly. A busy, noisy bar/restaurant where there was stacks of atmosphere and great service. We ate off the set menu which was limited but well executed. We kept the table all night enjoying table service from the bar and constantly topped up water which saved us from the otherwise inevitable hangover. We had two glasses of wine included in our 2 course meal. The vegetarian food was very good and the staff excellent. The atmosphere was very buzy (Saturday night), might be too noisy for some. Our table was furthest from the bar so we were able to talk without any problem. Set menu is relatively limited but makes for excellent value (~£18/head inc. glass of wine). All the group were happy with the quality of the food and the wine provided with the set menu was perfectly reasonable. Service was friendly and helpful and we were well topped up with ice water and bread throughout.
Our 6:30 booking meant overlapping afternoon tea and dinner service, which may explain why it was a little noisy. The the bar area was at capacity for seats for pre-dinner cocktails (tasty but pricy). This is the 2nd visit to Refuel and they clearly keep their menus in line with the seasons, which is good. As we took up the offer of 3 courses plus a glass of wine for £17.95 we chose from a set menu. I had the goats cheese tart to start, which was beautiful and the chorizo pasta as a main. Unfortunately I was a little disappointed with the pasta, it didn't seem anything special. Others I was dining with opted for the fish, which they thoroughly enjoyed. We chose from a selection of cakes for the desert, which personally I felt wasn't the best thing to have for desert and the cakes we chose were a little bland.

A great venue with excellent service and good value if opting for the set menu (3 courses for £17.95). Although portions are quite small, adding a side dish to the mains still makes this a good value option and the quality is good. They seated us in a perfect corner where we could talk easily to each other and weren't surrounded on all sides by other diners. Service was very good, although toward the end of the meal it seemed as though they had forgotten about us as it took a while for us to get the bill. But the staff is very friendly and courteous. I told the waitress that it's my boyfriend's birthday and she made sure to let the kitchen know and when we got dessert he got a special birthday treat with a candle in it. It was perfect. Dinner was very tasty and the drinks here are fantastic. Great place.
