The staff there are so attentive without being too in your face and make the occasion special. The menu is varied and home cooked but the crowning glory are the desserts. Very gorgeous chocolate trifle and also the rice pudding was very nice too. The building itself was like going back in time, It was so cosy and the atmosphere was spot on. We had a lovely meal. The food was absolutly gorgeous.
My husband and I eat at a lot of restaurants and this is one of our top 5.
Would deffinatly recommend it to anyone.

We arrived early and enjoyed a bottle of red from the extensive wine list by the open fire. We were shown to our table as soon as it became available. Staff were attentive, swift and on hand whilst not being intrusive or over bearing.
