I booked on Toptable this time to allow us enough time to order from the A La Carte menu. The service was very attentive & they kindly let my husband pick between the A La Carte & the Express Menu. The food is always of a high standard. I'd definitely recommend this restaurant & we'd eat here again.23/03/2013 00:00:00Ideal for pre-flight mealPre-booked a table at Plane Food for 9:30am before our flight, this wasn't necessary as there was actually plenty of availability. Seated quickly and given time to look through the breakfast menu. The menu offers a good range for breakfast although it is a little expensive considering the options. Ordered the breakfast with sausage, bacon, egg, tomatoes, toast, orange juice and coffee all for around £20 each.
Service was very good and the breakfast arrived quickly. I would try Plane Food again for a main course as I don't think there is a great deal that can be done with a breakfast to make it worth £20, however, a positive experience and recommended for that extra quality compared to airport restaurants.08/03/2013 00:00:00The food is as good as anyThe food is as good as any top London restaurant. You feel like you are not in an airport. Totally takes the stress out of airport hassle. Great meal so you can avoid the offerings you get on your flight. Service was great, friendly, welcoming withour being annoying. We did Petrus on our trip as well which is another of Gordon Ramsey's restaurant, and all I can say is that Gordon knows his stuff!! He has multiple restaurants and this is perhaps the surprise of them all, as you just dont expect such good food and service in an airport. Fantastic views of the busy airport with outstanding food and service. We had one of the best breakfasts ever, the quality of all the ingredients with a lovely glass of prossecco was just the perfect start to our holiday.16/01/2013 16:00:00Very reasonable pre flight mealWe decided to book a table as a bit of a last treat before flying out for New Years. We arrived about 15 minutes before our booking, but they found us a table straight away. The service was impeccable and the staff friendly. After we placed our orders, drinks were at the table within minutes, and the food didn't take long either. And may I just say - The orange juice must have been more or less squeezed straight into the glass, it tasted that fresh.
The food was lovely, Eggs Norwegian and a Classic Breakfast between us, and everything was delicious. Comparing prices with other places, it is great value for money as well, and by far the best option for a pre flight meal.26/12/2012 16:00:00
